    North African Regular and Irregular Migration: The Case of Libya

    Because of its geographical size and location, Libya has for centuries been a transit county for human movement across the region. Thus, its experience with immigrants has a long history. In the early 1970s, Libya became a destination for foreigners seeking jobs. Some entered the country legally, others illegally. All came to work, live, and send remittances back to their families. During the 1990s, when many migrants used Libya as a transit country for crossing the sea to Europe, the European Union started negotiating with the Libyan government to curb the flow of irregular migrants. In 2011, the country joined the Arab Spring and soon became a failed state and a haven for lawless gangs. Today Libya is the major transit country for irregular migrants traveling from North Africa to Europe, and it will likely continue to play such a role for long time to come

    Henti jantung adalah kondisi medis dimana secara tiba-tiba jantung berhenti berfungsi pada seseorang. Banyak kejadian henti jantung yang terjadi dilingkungan masyarakat namun masyarakat pada umumnya belum mengetahui apa yang harus dilakukan dalam kasus tersebut. Kondisi saat henti jantung terjadi diluar lingkungan Rumah Sakit dinamakan out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Secara global, kasus OHCA selalu bertambah setiap tahunnya. Fenomena ini bisa menjadi gambaran minimnya pengetahuan akan tindakan RJP. Sehingga pasien dengan OHCA seringkali tidak mendapatkan early – RJP, RJP akan diberikan saat pasien sudah di rumah sakit. Upaya untuk meningkatan kemampuan serta pengetahuan pentingnya tindakan RJP perlu dilakukan kepada masyarakat awam. Contohnya memberikan pelatihan RJP dengan cara konvensional yaitu tutorial. Disini peneliti menggunakan sensor tekanan untuk mengukur kompresi, giroskop untuk mengukur kemiringan kepala, dan sensor suara untuk mensimulasikan bantuan pernapasan yang ditampilkan pada smartphone. Data sensor dikirimkan dari arduino menggunakan NodeMcu ke firebase agar nantinya di olah pada aplikasi android berbasis IoT. Sehingga dengan menggunakan sistem ini, Sistem pelatihan RJP dapat memberikan pengetahuan mengenai cara pelaksanaan RJP

    Targeting P53 Gene in Breast Cancer

    Infectious diseases and breast cancer rely heavily on p53, a tumor suppressor that protects genetic integrity. It is present on chromosome 17p13 and controls angiogenesis, programmed cell death, and cell proliferation. The expression of p53 and its isoforms is more predictive of treatment outcomes and responses to chemotherapy for breast cancer patients than the presence or absence of TP53 mutations. Subtype-dependent mutations of p53's negative regulator MDM2 can both be signs of p53 deactivation in breast cancer. Targeting both wild-type and p53 mutant across various subtypes of breast cancer is one possible treatment strategy. Notably, through paracrine signaling, mutant p53 in stromal fibroblasts speeds up the formation of breast tumors. In the progression and trajectory of breast cancer, the pivotal involvement of the p53 gene, alongside the bcl-2 proto-oncogene, is noteworthy.     Effet de l'acide gibbérellique sur la formation de stolons chez le fraisier (Fragaria x ananassa Duchesne) dans la région d'Agadir

    La production de plants de fraisier se fait généralement dans les régions à hiver froid. Dans la présente étude on a étudié la possibilité de produire des plants de fraisier dans la région de Souss-Massa caractérisée par un climat sub-tropical. Deux variétés parmi les plus cultivées dans la région ont été utilisées: Oso-grande et Chandler. Les plants de pré-base utilisés comme pieds-mères ont été produits par culture de méristèmes. La pépinière a été installée dans la ferme expérimentale du Complexe Horticole d'Agadir. L'acide gibbérellique à 50 ppm a été appliqué au 21 ème, 35ème et 42ème jour après plantation dans le but d'améliorer la stolonisation. Dans les conditions de Souss-Massa, la formation de stolons commence 40 jours après la plantation. La variété Chandler a produit une moyenne de 78 stolons par plant en l'espace de 3 mois contre 35 pour Oso-grande. Chez cette dernière, l'acide gibbérellique améliore de façon significative la formation de stolons lorsqu'il est appliqué aux 35ème et 42ème jours après plantation. Mais l'AG3 n'a pas eu d'effet sur la stolonisation de la variété Chandler

    An alternative route optimization handoff scheme for mobile IPV6

    Mobile nodes using MIPv6 suffer long handoff delays due to the Route Optimization registration process. Route Optimization eliminates the triangular routing effect faced in MIPv4. The long handoff latencies may cause severe performance degradation of transmission protocols such as TCP and UDP. Such negative effect can be reduced by some enhancements to the handoff procedure. FastRA, RA Caching, Advanced DAD, Optimistic DAD and Optimistic Node are some of the handoff schemes proposed to reduce the handoff latencies. The aim of this project is to propose an alternative approach to reduce the handoff latencies in MIPv6. Early Handoff (EH) is a handoff scheme that takes advantage of the coverage overlapping areas to perform earlier and smoother handoffs. Simulations using NS-2 and Mobiwan had been carried out to evaluate the performances of EH, FastRA and Optimistic Node. The simulations were conducted within addressing and security issues free environments using 1, 10, 20 and 30 Mobile Nodes settings. The results show that EH has achieved good results in terms of low handoff latency, low packets loss rate, low signaling load and good bandwidth per station when implemented in environments with little number of nodes. On the other hand, FastRA outperformed Optimistic Nodes and EH respectively when the number of Mobile Nodes exceeded 20 nodes
