In this paper, we have established some geometric inequalities for the squared mean curvature in terms of warping functions of a doubly warped product pointwise bi-slant submanifold of a conformal Sasakian space form with a quarter symmetric metric connection. The equality cases havve also been considered. Moreover, some applications of obtained results are derived

Numerical study of the flow over symmetrical airfoils with ground effects

    Get PDF
The paper presents the ground effects on the flow over five NACA symmetrical airfoils by analyzing the coefficients of lift. The unbounded flow over a selected airfoil was first simulated, and the results were validated against the established data in order to validate the method used in obtaining the lift coefficients. In the presence of ground, we kept the angle of attack to be constantly zero throughout the computations. Ground clearances were set based on those for aircrafts whose wing cross sections are the airfoils of interest. ANSYS was used for such numerical computations. We illustrate percentage increment of lift that is inversely proportional to the ground clearance. This work sheds insight on the important parameters that need to be taken into account in the operational of an aircraft

Third sector socio economic models: how waqf fits in?

    Get PDF
In this paper, various theoretical frameworks of third sector (voluntary sector) economy are investigated with the aim of proposing a sustainable and inclusive socio- economic development model. An economic model that incorporates the third sector, together with the public and private sectors, is argued to be not only economically viable, but ethically superior, in achieving socio-economic development. Waqf is considered to be one of the most important institutions of third sector that exists in the Islamic heritage. Waqf, like many other third sector organisations (TSOs), needs to be recognised formally in efforts to build contemporary economic development frameworks. To achieve this, the paper calls also for multi-dimensional improvements in the management of TSOs, including waqf

    Get PDF
Websites are a crucial part of communication in the modern era of information technology. It takes a lot of work from various institutions and organizations to present comprehensive information on attractive websites. Websites serve as an online agent that enables users to complete their tasks without physically visiting the businesses. The designer of a website gives it a highly critical inspection so that users can access all of the services of the relevant institutions or organizations online. The obligation of the website designer and the relevant institutions/organizations multiplies in order to ensure websites behave similarly across all of the various browsers used by the various kinds of visitors. In order to explore cross-browser compatibility as a Design issue in several types of websites, such as job portals, government, educational, commercial, and social networking, the author of this research paper created an online tool utilizing the.NET Framework and C#. The automated tool created by the author operates in accordance with the various standards outlined in the W3C guidelines document UAAG 2.0, acts as a parser, renders the entire website's source code, and generates results based on how websites behave in the five most popular and widely used browsers, including Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Every Browser is tried based on the five boundaries which are remembered for the parser are Blinking, Active X control, Site Resolution; picture Formats, HTML Tag mistakes. The results acquired subsequent to testing five unique classes of sites shows that instructive and long range interpersonal communication locales shows least similarity in numerous programs where as work gateways, business and government sites shows 100 percent consistence to the web composition principles suggested by W3C w.r.t. program similarity of various sites on different perusing stage

Pembentukan nilai-nilai murni masyarakat Semai melalui konsep pandang dunia (world view): Satu analisis awal

    Get PDF

Kashmir is known as paradise on Earth. The valley of Kashmir well-known for its beauty and celebrity is a theme well worthy of a poet. Nowhere in Asia, nor even in the remaining quarters of the globe, can the parallel be found of such an earthly paradise, a paradise in itself but made doubly beautiful by its surroundings. Sports and Tourism constitutes one of the main sources of income for vast sections of Kashmiri population the sports sector received a serious jolt with the outbreak and spread of militancy from 1989 onwards. Sports industry of Kashmir valley suffered tremendously due to violent militant activities. Once militancy gained momentum, the sports to the valley declined substantially. In this study only period of 10 years (2006-2015) were considered. It was shown in the study that due to disturbance in Kashmir in year 2008, 2009 and 2010 the participants shows decline in number almost 15.27% and in the year 2014 and 2015 when there was decline in the militancy there was gradual increase in the participants almost 26.6 % in the Kashmir valley

Selected issues in Islamic economics education and the way forward

    Get PDF
The past recent decades witnessed a steady growth of ‘Islamization of knowledge’ efforts in the wake of intellectual resurgence of the Muslim world, not least in the discipline of economics. Since the 1980s, there have been an increasing number of institutions around the world attempting to offer courses and programs in Islamic economics (and since the 1990s in Islamic Banking and Finance). Despite the encouraging progress so far, literature specifically in the area of Islamic economics education is rather limited. This chapter seeks to highlight selected critical issues that have arisen in the teaching of Islamic economics as reflected by the experiences of the Southeast Asian universities, namely the Quality of human resources involved in the delivery of the integration and Islamization efforts and the availability of reference materials to support the teaching and learning process. In view of these issues, the chapter also attempts to offer some possible avenues to find solutions to these challenges, as well as planning for the future of Islamic economics education. In this context, the chapter discusses the importance of developing an Usul (methodology) for Islamic economics, which takes into account various aspects of Islamic heritage concerning economic dealings, behavior and institutions beyond the realm of the fiqhi (legalistic) aspect of the Shari’ah. Finally, the chapter highlights the need for regional cooperation to further strengthen the collective efforts in the development of Islamic economics education, particularly in the Southeast Asian region

High strength lightweight aggregate concrete using blended coarse lightweight aggregate origin from palm oil industry

    Get PDF
The benefits of using structural lightweight concrete in construction industry, particularly in high rise buildings, over normal weight concrete are numerous. The main method of producing structural lightweight concrete is the use of lightweight aggregates instead of ordinary aggregates in concrete. Due to the limited resources for natural and artificial lightweight aggregates, the alternative sources for lightweight aggregates should be discovered from industrial wastes. Oil palm shell (OPS) and oil-palm-boiler clinker (OPBC) are two solid wastes from palm oil industry and are available in abundance in tropical regimes. The use of just OPS as coarse lightweight aggregate in concrete mixture has some drawbacks for concrete. The aim of this study was to investigate engineering properties of a lightweight concrete containing both of these aggregates. For this purpose, in this study, 50% (by volume) of OPS was replaced with OPBC in an OPS lightweight concrete. The test results showed that when OPS was substituted with OPBC, significant improvement was observed in the compressive, splitting tensile and flexural strengths. In addition, initial and final water absorption as well as drying shrinkage strain of blended coarse lightweight aggregate concrete were significantly less than OPS concrete
