Perancangan Beton Pracetak untuk Perkerasan Jalan Lingkungan di Pulau Bengkalis

    Get PDF

The high rate of motorcycle accidents, especially in adolescents is increasing, which at that age adolescents tend to neglect the factor of safety of himself and others. Disciplinary problems in the use of safe driving (safety riding) bad traffic is a phenomenon that occurs in large cities in developing countries. To the knowledge of safety driving, known as Safety riding a provision which must be held before the start of driving on the road. The difficulty of finding material about proper riding safety for teens make teenagers difficult to understand the contents of the content material on safety driving. Based on these problems, the authors create an interactive animated educational program to facilitate teenagers riding safety in understanding how to drive safe and comfortable which is expected to develop discipline in driving especially among teenagers

A KINEMATIC ANALYSIS OF ROWING PERFORMANCE DURING A 2000M ERGOMETER TEST

The aim of this study was to investigate how force, velocity and power change during a maximum 2000m-rowing test, and to examine the relationship between 2-D joint kinematics and performance. Ten male rowers performed a 2000m test, which was analysed in five periods, considering also the mean final results. One-way ANOVA for repeated measures showed that force, velocity and power changed significantly along the 2000m test. Hip, and elbow joint kinematic parameters remained unchanged throughout the test but knee’s angular displacement and angular position at the catch, changed significantly during the 2000m test. A stepwise multiple regression analysis evidenced that the knee angular position at the catch is in relationship with time to finish the 2000m rowing and remained the single predictor of performance

Hypervelocity Impact Experiments on Epoxy/Ultra-high Molecular Weight Polyethylene Fiber Composites Reinforced with Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes

AbstractNanocomposites of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fabrics with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) in epoxy matrix were prepared in order to study their hypervelocity impact (HVI) characteristics. These nanocomposites were assessed for their use as bumper shields and as rear walls in Whipple shield configurations at impact velocities in the 6.5-7km/s range. The HVI performances of the nanocomposites were compared against that of the epoxy/UHMWPE composites without nanotubes (or simply, neat composites) and aluminum (Al) sheets having areal density similar to both the composites. The results show that the nanocomposites and the neat composites perform better as rear walls than the Al sheets, but are lesser effective bumper shields. Comparatively, the two composites perform similarly to one another as rear walls and as bumper shields. For these epoxy/UHMWPE composite samples, the reinforcement with 0.5 wt% of SWCNT has no noticeable effect on their HVI response

Effects of channel estimation on multiuser virtual MIMO-OFDMA relay-based networks

In this paper, a practical multi-user cooperative transmission scheme denoted as Virtual Maximum Ratio Transmission (VMRT) for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (MIMO-OFDMA) Relay-based networks is proposed and evaluated in the presence of a realistic channel estimation algorithm. It is shown that this scheme is robust against channel estimation errors and offers diversity and array gain keeping the complexity low, although the multi-user and multi-antenna channel estimation algorithm is simple and efficient. Diversity gains larger than 4 can be easily obtained with reduced number of relays. Thus, this scheme can be used to extend coverage or increase system throughput by using simple cooperative OFDMA-based relays

Task scheduling for mobile edge computing using genetic algorithm and conflict graphs

    Get PDF
In this paper, we consider parallel and sequential task offloading to multiple mobile edge computing servers. The task consists of a set of inter-dependent sub-tasks, which are scheduled to servers to minimize both offloading latency and failure probability. Two algorithms are proposed to solve the scheduling problem, which are based on genetic algorithm and conflict graph models, respectively. Simulation results show that these algorithms provide performance close to the optimal solution, which is obtained through exhaustive search. Furthermore, although parallel offloading uses orthogonal channels, results demonstrate that the sequential offloading yields a reduced offloading failure probability when compared to the parallel offloading. On the other hand, parallel offloading provides less latency. However, as the dependency among sub-tasks increases, the latency gap between parallel and sequential schemes decreases. This work was supported in part by the Memorial University Chair, in part by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) through its Discovery program, in part by the Chair of Excellence at UC3M, and in part by the Spanish National Project TERESA-ADA (TEC2017-90093-C3- 2-R) (MINECO/AEI/FEDER, UE).Publicad
