    Get PDF
Se discute el impacto de la calidad metodológica encontrada y las evidencias reportados en la interpretación y generalización de los hallazgosCurrently, the development of training programs in socioemotional skills in childhood has increased because they are considered as a valid tool for adaptation and coping with a variety of situations, both academic and personal. However, there are few studies that show a comprehensive view of available evidences. This research presents an umbrella review based on PRISMA method guidelines. It includes reviews on socioemotional development programs applied in Primary Education with the aim of synthesizing their characteristics and compiling the main results on their effectiveness. The following databases were used: ERIC, WOS, PSYCINFO, SCOPUS and COCHRANE. After a blind peer process, 15 reviews that met the inclusion criteria were selected and analysed. Using the AMSTAR-2 and SANRA tools, it was found that 60% of secondary studies have critically low or low quality. Thirty nine programs reported in good quality reviews were identified, 51.2% presented moderate or strong evidence and reported significant effectsmainly on behavioral adjustment, social and emotional competencies and academic skills. The impact of the methodological quality found and the evidences on the interpretation and generalization of the findings is discussed

A KINEMATIC ANALYSIS OF ROWING PERFORMANCE DURING A 2000M ERGOMETER TEST

The aim of this study was to investigate how force, velocity and power change during a maximum 2000m-rowing test, and to examine the relationship between 2-D joint kinematics and performance. Ten male rowers performed a 2000m test, which was analysed in five periods, considering also the mean final results. One-way ANOVA for repeated measures showed that force, velocity and power changed significantly along the 2000m test. Hip, and elbow joint kinematic parameters remained unchanged throughout the test but knee’s angular displacement and angular position at the catch, changed significantly during the 2000m test. A stepwise multiple regression analysis evidenced that the knee angular position at the catch is in relationship with time to finish the 2000m rowing and remained the single predictor of performance

The fifth-generation (5G) of cellular communications is expected to be deployed in the next years to support a wide range of services with different demands of peak data rates, latency and quality of experience (QoE). In this work, we propose a novel approach for radio network dimensioning (RND), named as Heuristic RND (HRND), which uses real open data in the network dimensioning process. This procedure, named as NetDataDrilling, provides the dimensioning target area by means of network data selection and visualization from the existing infrastructure. Moreover, the proposed NetDimensioning heuristic considers the necessary parameters of numerology and bandwidth parts (BWP) supported by New Radio (NR) to provide a balanced network design mediating among the requirements of coverage, capacity, QoE and cost. The proposed HRND is based on the novel quality of experience (QoE) parameter ζ by probabilistically characterizing the 5G radio resource control (rrc) states to ensure the availability of peak data rates for the MNO's required percentage of the time. The simulation results show the fulfilment of QoE and load balancing parameters with significant cost savings compared to the conventional RND methodology. This work was supported by the Spanish National Project TERESA-ADA (MINECO/AEI/R, UE), under Grant TEC2017-90093-C3-2-R

This proceding at: IEEE 80th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC)Fall. Took place 2014, September 15-19, in Vancouver (Canada).Radio over Fiber (RoF) distribution aided co-operation of Remote Access Points (RAPs) is proposed for jointly transmitting data to the users in the downlink (DL) of a Multiple Input Multiple Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) system. Joint transmission is performed with the aid of Block Diagonalization (BD), where the transmitted signal is pre-distorted in order to overcome the non-linearity imposed by the optical modulator. We demonstrate that with adequate design, the users can obtain high data rates with very small degradation introduced by the RoF transmission. Quantitatively, when M=7 RAPs, each equipped with t=2 transmit antennas (TAs) each, cooperate to serve N=7 simultaneous users, also equipped with r=2 receive antennas (RAs), the SNR degradation is kept below 0.1 dB compared to a system assuming a perfect RoF channel. On the other hand, the SNR performance degradation is around 1.2 dB, when the number of antennas at the transmitters and the receivers is increased to t=r=8.This work was supported by projects CSD2008-00010, TEC2011-29006- C03-03 and by a mobility grant of Spanish Ministry of Education. Get PDF
In the present study vertical movements of resonance hopping robot of special construction with one leg and dual drive are considered. The construction of hopping robot with compensation of losses during flight of the robot allows employing a simple control system and having a stable regime of its operation so that the robot has self-property to maintain a specified height of jumping. The data on dynamical calculation, simulations and experimental testing are discussed. The solution of the problem of actuator’s optimum parameters choice (including variable transmission ratio) for the considered robot is presented.

Aims: 1) to study the behavior of the working conditions of box type and drum solar cookers; 2) evaluate the cooking process of breads with quinoa flour and 3) study the consumer’s acceptability response. Four formulations were established with 0, 10, 15 and 20% of wheat flour substitution, and they were cooked into the cookers. Cookers working conditions–radiation (W/m2 ) and environment temperature (°C)- and internal temperature of the breads were measured during cooking process. Sensory acceptability tests were performed with 112 consumers. The cooking variables mostly affected by daily conditions of radiation and environment temperature were: local time at which the maximum temperature (tT°max) of breads was reached, rate of increase (Va), duration time (tdur) and area under the curve (ABC). The cooker type and % of quinoa were not significant on the sensory acceptability; therefore it was observed a tendency to prefer the bread with 10% of quinoa.Fil: Passamai, Victor Jose. Energy efficient subchannel and power allocation in cooperative VLC systems

    Get PDF
This letter studies the energy efficiency (EE) optimization of cooperative visible light communication (VLC) systems while considering the inter-cell interference and the lineof-sight blockage problems. Specifically, the optimization problem of subchannel and power allocation to maximize EE under transmit power budgets and users' minimum rate constraints is considered. The formulated problem turns out to be a difficult nonlinear fractional program for which a low-complexity iterative solution based on fractional programming theory and the quadratic transform approach is proposed. Extensive simulations are conducted to show the efficacy of the proposed scheme over conventional approaches. In addition, the outage analysis and impacts of varying the transmit power and the subchannel bandwidth on the EE performance are investigated. This work was supported by the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) through its Discovery Program, the Memorial University VPR Program, and the Spanish National Project TERESA-ADA (TEC2017-90093-C3-2-R) (MINECO/AEI/FEDER, UE). The development of sensitive and rapid inhibition-based biosensors for monitoring trace levels of heavy metals such as lead and copper ions in environmental samples is of high interest. In this work, we describe the fabrication of HRP sensitive peroxide biosensors based on ferrocenyl thiolated DAB dendrimers as bonding-layer between electrodeposited and colloidal gold nanoparticles and compare their electrocatalytic properties with those of thiolated DAB homologues. The complete electrochemical, kinetic and analytical characterization of these new heavy metals’ inhibition-biosensors are investigate
