Petangan Jawa: Installing traditional values in names

This research contributes to investigate a cultural continuity, particularly naming practice, in a homogenous Javanese community installing Petangan Jawa (Javanese Calculations). However, common Javanese slowly ignore it. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with fieldwork to investigate the intention behind the name. Therefore, two varieties of Petangan Jawa, namely, a calculation based on calendar properties and a calculation based on Javanese script values, are still consistently used. In addition, this study paves the way for future research on the causes of the gradual abandonment of Petangan Jawa among common Javanese and how the perspective of religious beliefs about Petangan Jawa is used to predict the future

Women's leadership in study programs can also provide inspiration and motivation for other women to pursue academic and leadership careers. This can help increase accessibility to educational and professional opportunities for women. This method involves an in-depth analysis of eight study programs led by women at one of the Private Universities (PTS) in the city of Samarinda. Researchers can examine how women's leadership influences organizational culture, policies, and study program outcomes. So a case study was carried out in an effort to obtain data related to leadership in eight study programs led by women. Role models that encourage inspiration, female leadership can be powerful role models for students and staff, especially for women, in demonstrating that a successful academic career is achievable for everyone regardless of gender. By inspiring and providing support, female leadership motivates study program members to reach their best potential and contribute to collective success. Women's leadership influences organizational culture, policies and study program outcomes. Women's leadership at private universities in the city of Samarinda not only has a positive impact on the progress and development of study programs, but also strengthens the values of inclusivity, empathy and equality in the academic environment, creating wider opportunities for mutual growth and success

Fires are a global problem that has many causes and devastating consequences, especially since they can cause death, environmental pollution, and destruction of property. The most common type of accidents are those caused by fire. They can occur due to many things, such as gas leaks, damage to wiring, negligence in managing flammable materials (such as fuel, cigarettes, matches, etc.), and careless use of tools and combustion that are usually used to cover up criminal activities. This study will create an Internet of Things-based automatic fire extinguisher by using somke detector to detect the presence of fire smoke, ESP8266 as an electronic device that processes the input and output of the device, buzzer as an output that converts electrical vibrations into vibrations, and 5V water pump as an output to pump water and Short Message Service (SMS) to send notifications when there is a fire warning. Tests on the smoke detector showed that only 10% of trials failed to detect smoke from the fire and turn on the fire extinguisher pump, and 90% of the tools functioned properly to detect smoke. This failure is possible because the smoke is so thin that it has not reached the detection threshold of the sensor used. In general, the device can operate well

Tasikmalaya earthquake caused considerable damage to houses ill tIre village of Jayapura, Cigalollttlllg District, Tasikmalaya RegellC1j. Damage is strongly influenced by topographic effects factor because of its locatioll at tI,e top of tIre hills, beside tIre building struchtres are not meet earthquake resistant building standards. Some stage houses structure made of wood was not damaged. TIre existence of a woodell/lOuse on stage structure is one evidence of tIre local wisdom, which proved to be resilient and able to survive during a strollg eartllquake.
