Indonesia is an agricultural country and one of the world's rice-producing countries. However, the increase in population has pushed for the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural purposes. Solok is a district with the largest paddy field area in West Sumatra. Yet, the increase in population has resulted in a decrease in paddy fields every year. This study aimed to determine the model for changing the area of paddy fields for the 2000-2020 period and determine the direction of sustainable agricultural policies. In defining the paddy field change model, this research uses the input data from the interpretation of 2000 Landsat 5 imagery, 2010 Landsat 7 imagery, and 2020 Landsat Oli 8 imagery. The data were analyzed using a geographic information system (GIS). This research employed the Powersim Software with a system dynamics approach in projecting rice production and demand. This research used Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) analysis to determine the direction of sustainable food policy. The results showed that there had been a conversion of 13,801.6 hectares of paddy agricultural land into a built-up area in the 2000-2020 period in Solok District. In 2020, Solok District supplied 2,838 thousand tons of rice, while the demand for rice was 446.3 thousand tons. In the direction of the sustainable agriculture policy, there are three key sub-elements; tightening land use permits, establishing and implementing spatial planning regulations, and consistency in enforcing spatial planning violation laws

Blekok Village is one of the mangrove areas that was developed as conservation-based ecotourism by the Situbondo Regency Government since 2017. The Blekok village is located in Pesisir Hamlet, Klatakan Village, Kendit District, Situbondo Regency. This area has been designated as a mangrove area inhabited by water birds of the type Ardeidae called birds blekok by the surrounding community. Over time Blekok village has been increasingly crowded by tourists both inside and outside the country. The mangrove ecotourism area was developed as an appropriate form of management to ensure the sustainability of conservation and rehabilitation while at the same time encouraging the economy of local communities. The aim of this research are to calculate the tourist suitability index, calculate the carrying capacity of the region and identify ecotourism activities that can be carried out in the mangrove area of Kampung Blekok. The methods used in this study are qualitative and quantitative. Tourism suitability assessment uses the Regional Suitability Index (IKW), calculation of Regional Carrying Capacity and identification of ecotourism activities carried out with a 4A assessment (Attraction, Amenity, Accessibility, Ancilliary). Data collection uses visual observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the mangrove area of Kampung Blekok Situbondo Regency was suitabel for mangrove tourism activities with a suitability value of 82,05%. The area that can be utilized for ecotourism covers 6.471,9 and the carrying capacity of the area for tourism activities is 648 people / day (open 10 hours/day). For the types of tourism activities that can be carried out in the mangrove ecotourism area totaling 8 activities, they are photography (photography), mangrove tracking, bird watching, observation tower, observation of mangrove (education), nursery of mangrove, boat tourism (boating) and enjoy the atmosphere of the sunset

Abstract: River flooding has become a serious disruption for community which lives in downstream area of a watershed. Comal Watershed is annually experience river flooding caused by Comal River. Therefore, it is necessary to proper mitigation planning. This study organized the arrangement of river flooding non-structural mitigation planning. Qualitative approach was used in this study; not to mention the research design utilzed literature study and field survey. Literature study was used for finding out the river flood events record and affected area in downdstream area of Comal Watershed. Meanwhile, field survey was conducted to overview the socio-cultural condition of the community which live in it. The results indicated that river flooding non-structural mitigation planning area in downdstream area of Comal Watershed consisted of spatial planning in harmony with landuse management of Comal Watershed, detection and prediction of the Comal River discharge conditions through recording and observing hydrometeorological data, management planning of riparian zone, Disaster literacy toward schools and community, community communication system improvement, local wisdom enhancement, evacuation route arrangement, early warning system utilization, disaster simulation and reforestation. Mitigation planning is not only the responsibility of the government, but requires awareness and cooperation from the community

This article aims to improve the ability of teachers and students to make media maps arise and improve teacher understanding and ability in terms of understanding pedagogical aspects that can be seen from the process of designing a Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) especially in terms of choosing a model or learning method. This activity was held at SMAN 2 using training methods, question and answer, and practice. In accordance with the objectives of the implementation of the activity, it is expected that teachers and students have an increased ability in terms of mastery to make map media arise. Then the teacher can also improve the teacher's understanding/ability in terms of understanding pedagogical aspects that can be seen from the process of designing the LIP especially in terms of choosing a learning model. By carrying out training to improve teacher skills in developing learning media, Geography Teachers are expected to have sufficient competence in terms of designing and utilizing media so that quality learning is created
