The overcoming of the primary teachers in the realization of the curricular adaptations
In the present article an important topic in Cuban education was addressed: the permanent formation of primary teachers in the context of educational inclusion. The objective of the work was directed to the proposal of a strategy of overcoming Primary Education teachers in the realization of curricular adaptations for students with intellectual disabilities, in conditions of educational inclusion. During the course of the investigation, theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were applied to collect, interpret and process the information related to the subject in question. As a result, the proposal elaborated on the basis of the systemic combination of several forms of organization consistent with the theoretical assumptions of Advanced Education is a response to the needs presented by teachers of Primary Education in the realization of curricular adaptations. The same is considered novel, meanwhile, the main guidelines of this process are offered in correspondence with the current demands imposed by the educational inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in the achievement of a quality education for all
Lostrego: a distributed stream-based infrastructure for the real-time gathering and analysis of heterogeneous educational data
The quick technological evolution of the last decades has also reached learning environments, where the use of networked computing devices such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, IoT devices, servers, etc. is continuously growing. In particular, those computerized learning environments have the potential to track the activity of teachers and students in them, which enables the development of innovative applications that enrich the learning process by analyzing the collected data. The majority of related work in this field has been centered on batch gathering and analysis of the data. However, in order to integrate more reactive applications, there is a need for an infrastructure that enables the real-time collection and analysis of data in learning environments. Such an infrastructure should be scalable and flexible enough to cope with heterogeneous data coming from different types of learning settings. This paper presents Lostrego, a stream-based, modular, scalable and flexible distributed infrastructure that allows the gathering and analysis of educational data from heterogeneous data sources in a real-time fashion. Lostrego applications are composed by interconnected services that can be reused in different courses. The results of the evaluation of Lostrego in two editions of a computer programming course with 233 students and 384,702 gathered events are also reported. This work was partially funded by: the Spanish Competitiveness

Factorizations of one dimensional classical systems
A class of one dimensional classical systems is characterized from an
algebraic point of view. The Hamiltonians of these systems are factorized in
terms of two functions that together with the Hamiltonian itself close a
Poisson algebra. These two functions lead directly to two time-dependent
integrals of motion from which the phase motions are derived algebraically. The
systems so obtained constitute the classical analogues of the well known
factorizable one dimensional quantum mechanical systems.Comment: 19 pages, 7 figure
Assessment of polluted soil remediation using bacterial community tolerance to heavy metals as an indicator
The assessment of remediation on metal-polluted soils is usually focused on total and/or bioavailable metal content. However, these chemical variables do not provide direct information about reductions in heavy metals pressure on soil microorganisms. We propose the use of bacterial communities to evaluate the efficiency of three remediation techniques: crushed mussel shell (CMS) and pine bark (PB) as soil amendments and EDTA-washing. A soil sample was polluted with different doses of Cu, Ni, and Zn (separately). After 30 days of incubation, the remediation techniques were applied, and bacterial community tolerance to heavy metals determined. If bacterial communities develop tolerance, it is an indicator that the metal is exerting toxicity on them. Soil bacterial communities developed tolerance to Cu, Ni, and Zn in response to metal additions. After remediation, bacterial communities showed decreases in bacterial community tolerance to Cu, Ni, and Zn for all remediation techniques. For Cu and Ni, soil EDTA-washing showed the greatest reduction of bacterial community tolerance to Cu and Ni, respectively, while for Zn the soil amendment with PB was the most effective remediation technique. Thus, bacterial community tolerance to heavy metals successfully detect differences in the effectiveness of the three remediation techniques.Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad | Ref.
