    ANALISIS TERJEMAHAN TUTURAN YANG MENGAKOMODASI FLOUTING MAKSIM KUALITAS PRINSIP KERJASAMA DALAM NOVEL ME BEFORE YOU KARYA JOJO MOYES

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian penerjemahan dengan menggunakan pendekatan pragmatik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengidentifikasi jenis strategi flouting maksim dalam tuturan yang mengakomodasi flouting maskim kualitas PK (2) mendeskripsikan teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan dan (3) mendeskripsikan dampak teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan terhadap kualitas terjemahan dari segi keakuratan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi kasus terpancang. Sumber data penelitian berasal dari novel Me Before You dan informan sebagai penilai keterbacaan terjemahan. Data diperoleh dengan 3 metode yaitu analisis dokumen, kuesioner dan focus group discussion (FGD). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat tujuh jenis strategi flouting maksim kualitas PK, diantaranya adalah sarkasme, ironi, hiperbola, pernyataan bohong, rhetorical questions, simile dan metafora. Terdapat 14 teknik penerjemahan yang diterapkan penerjemah yaitu teknik kesepadanan lazim, variasi, amplifikasi (eksplisitasi), modulasi, peminjaman, implisitasi, transposisi, amplifikasi (adisi), reduksi, generalisasi, harfiah (literal), kreasi diskursif, partikularisasi dan deskripsi. Dari keempatbelas teknik tersebut, teknik penerjemahan didominasi oleh kesepadanan lazim. Teknik ini dapat mempertahankan keutuhan pesan pada bahasa sumber. sedangkan beberapa teknik lain seperti harfiah (literal), kreasi diskursif dan juga teknik adisi berdampak negatif pada nilai kualitas terjemahan karena dapat membuat terjemahan kurang akurat. Nilai rata-rata keakuratan terjemahan adalah 2,8 yang berarti terjemahan termasuk pada kategori terjemahan yang baik

    The Influence of Translation Techniques on the Accuracy and Acceptability of Translated Utterances That Flout the Maxim of Quality

    Translating the implied meanings in utterances is one of the trickiest situations translators may confront. One example is in translating utterances that flout the maxim of quality. When a speaker flouts the maxim of quality, they are implying further information that is not represented in the utterance. Translators use various translation techniques in order to convey the meaning of the original text in the most appropriate and acceptable form in the target text. This study investigates how translation techniques may affect the quality of a translation. The approach implemented in this study is pragmatics in translation. This study belongs to the field of descriptive qualitative research with an embedded case study. For data, we look at all the utterances which may be said to be flouting the maxim of quality in the source text and its translation. Content analysis and focus group discussion were applied as the methods to collect and analyze the data. A focus group discussion was used to assess translation quality. The majority of the data was classified as accurate and acceptable, while the rest was considered less accurate and inaccurate due to the application of the translation technique amplification (addition), discursive creation and literal translation. Some data was also found to be less acceptable due to literal translation and pure borrowing

    Com o desenvolvimento das ferramentas Web 2.0 a Internet assume‐se como uma plataforma onde os conteúdos, mais que transmitidos e consumidos, são criados, partilhados e transformados. Ao facilitar os processos de comunicação, interacção e criação de grupos, o software social potencia o desenvolvimento de novos ambientes de aprendizagem onde a comunidade se define como centro de construção de conhecimento. Num novo modelo que expande os horizontes da aprendizagem e onde a adopção das tecnologias conduz a alterações na forma como se equaciona o conteúdo e o currículo, o professor surge como agente de mudança, promotor de experiências de aprendizagem ricas e inovadoras. Incidindo sobre o papel da comunidade na promoção de modelos de aprendizagem mais dinâmicos e participativos, o presente artigo reflecte um estudo desenvolvido no âmbito do Mestrado em Multimédia em Educação (Universidade de Aveiro) onde se aborda a importância do software social na criação de comunidades de aprendizagem.With the development of Web 2.0 tools, the Internet becomes a platform where content, is created, shared and processed rather than transmitted and consumed. By facilitating the processes of communication, interaction and creation of groups, social software enhances the development of new learning environments where the community is perceived as a knowledge construction center. In a new model that expands the horizons of learning, and where the adoption of technology leads to changes in the content and curriculum, the teacher is defined as an agent of change, promoting rich and innovative learning experiences. This paper reflects a study of the role of these communities in the promotion of more dynamic and participatory learning models.     Pengaruh Pemberian Jus Pare (Momordica Charantia L.) Dan Jus Jeruk Nipis (Citrus Aurantifolia) Terhadap Kadar Kolesterol Total Tikus Sprague Dawley Hiperkolsterolemia

    Latar Belakang : Hiperkolesterolemia merupakan faktor utama dan faktor risiko independen penyakit kardiovaskuler. Penurunan kolesterol total merupakan salah satu strategi dalam terapi penyakit kardiovaskuler. Buah pare dan jeruk nipis memilki potensi menurunkan kolesterol total. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jus pare, jus jeruk nipis dan kombinasi kedua buah dalam menurunkan kolesterol total.Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan true experimental dengan rancangan pre-post test randomized control group design. Sampel terdiri dari 28 tikus jantan Sprague Dawley hiperkolesterolemia yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok. Intervensi dilakukan selama 14 hari dengan kelompok kontrol hanya diberi pakan standar, perlakuan 1 (P1) diberi jus pare 2 ml/ekor/hari, perlakuan 2 (P2) diberi jus jeruk nipis 2 ml/ekor/hari dan perlakuan 3 (P3) diberi kombinasi jus pare dan jus jeruk nipis sebanyak 4 ml/ekor/hari. Kadar kolsterol total dianalisis dengan metode CHOD-PAP. Data dianalisis dengan uji Paired t-test dan one way Anova.Hasil : Penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadi penurunan kolesterol total setelah pemberian jus pare (22,51%), jus jeruk nipis (28,93%) dan kombinasi jus pare+jeruk nipis (24,04%) (p<0,05). Namun tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata Perubahan kadar kolesterol total antara kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan dengan p=0,105 (p>0,05)Simpulan : Tidak terdapat perbedaan pengaruh pemberian pare, jus jeruk nipis dan kombinasi jus pare+jeruk nipis terhadap penurunan kolesterol total tikus hiperkolesterolemia

    Assessing the potential of utilisation and storage strategies for post-combustion CO2 emissions reduction

    The emissions reduction potential of three carbon dioxide handling strategies for post-combustion capture is considered. These are carbon capture and sequestration/storage (CCS), enhanced hydrocarbon recovery (EHR), and carbon dioxide utilization (CDU) to produce synthetic oil. This is performed using common and comparable boundary conditions including net CO2 sequestered based on equivalent boundary conditions. This is achieved using a “cradle to grave approach” where the final destination and fate of any product is considered. The input boundary is pure CO2 that has been produced using a post-combustion capture process as this is common between all processes. The output boundary is the emissions resulting from any product produced with the assumption that the majority of the oil will go to combustion processes. We also consider the “cradle to gate” approach where the ultimate fate of the oil is not considered as this is a boundary condition often applied to EHR processes. Results show that while CCS can make an impact on CO2 emissions, CDU will have a comparable effect whilst generating income while EHR will ultimately increase net emissions. The global capacity for CDU is also compared against CCS using data based on current and planned CCS projects. Analysis shows that current CDU represent a greater volume of capture than CCS processes and that this gap is likely to remain well beyond 2020 which is the limit of the CCS projects in the database
