Hydroxide catalysis bonding for astronomical instruments
Hydroxide catalysis bonding (HCB) as a jointing technique has been under development for astronomical applications since ∼1998 (patented by D.-H. Gwo). It uses an aqueous hydroxide solution to form a chemical bond between oxide or oxidisable materials (e.g., SiO2, sapphire, silicon and SiC). It forms strong, extremely thin bonds, and is suitable for room temperature bonding, precision alignment, operation in ultra-low vacuum and down to temperatures of 2.5 K. It has been applied in the NASA satellite mission Gravity Probe B and in the ground-based gravitational wave (GW) detector GEO600. It will soon fly again on the ESA LISA Pathfinder mission and is currently being implemented in the Advanced LIGO and Virgo ground-based GW detectors. This technique is also of considerable interest for use in other astronomical fields and indeed more broadly, due to its desirable, and adjustable, combination of properties. This paper gives an overview of how HCB has been and can be applied in astronomical instruments, including an overview of the current literature on the properties of hydroxide catalysis bonds

A STUDY ABOUT THE DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF FLEXIBLE TUBES INCLUDING INTERNAL FLOW
横浜国立大学博士(工学)The Exploration & Production of offshore petroleum fields have increased drastically during the last 30 years. The Exploratory Frontier has advanced into deeper and deeper waters. In order to achieve such new reservoirs, new offshore technologies have been developed over the years. One sub sea equipment that is essential for the development of such offshore fields is the RISER. Riser is any tubular structure that connects the well head on the sea bottom up to the platform at the surface. Such tubular structure can be classified into drilling riser and production riser and can convey a variety of fluids, equipments, solids in suspension, etc. Beside the Petroleum Industry, the riser can also be applied for the Offshore Mining and Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC). Several researches have investigated risers by the way of experimental analysis and analytical analysis covering the structural static and dynamic behavior, hydrodynamics loads, boundary conditions, and so on. But only a few researches have focused on the effect of the internal flow on the riser’s dynamic behavior. This investigation is focused on this gap. Several experiments were carried out to clarify the effect of internal flow on the pipe’s dynamic behavior. Some of those experiments were carried out in the Deep Sea Basin of the National Maritime Research Institute using 10 m long pipe’s models. In addition, a computational program for the riser’s numerical simulation including the internal flow effects have been fully developed during this study.doctoral thesi
Liderazgo transformacional y clima organizacional en instituciones rurales de nivel secundaria de la UGEL Tayacaja – Huancavelica
El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es establecer la relación que existe entre Liderazgo transformacional y clima organizacional en instituciones rurales de nivel secundaria de la UGEL Tayacaja – Huancavelica. El estudio en mención por su naturaleza le corresponde al enfoque cuantitativo, es de tipo sustantivo o de base, con diseño descriptivo – correlacional y método hipotético deductivo. La muestra se definió a través del tipo de muestreo no probabilístico e intencionado, conformándose finalmente con 30 docentes de las instituciones educativas en mención. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y como instrumentos se utilizó dos cuestionarios, uno sobre liderazgo transformacional y el otro sobre clima organizacional. El tratamiento de los datos se realizó considerando el paquete estadístico del Programa SPSS, en su última versión. Las conclusiones a las cuales se arribó son las siguientes: Existe relación significativa entre liderazgo transformacional y clima organizacional, a nivel total y por las dimensiones: identidad institucional, relaciones interpersonales y dinámica institucional, en instituciones rurales de nivel secundaria de la UGEL Tayacaja – Huancavelica.The objective of this research work is to establish the relationship that exists between transformational leadership and organizational climate in rural secondary level institutions of the UGEL Tayacaja – Huancavelica. The study in question, due to its nature, corresponds to the quantitative approach, it is of a substantive or basic type, with a descriptive-correlational design and a hypothetical-deductive method. The sample was defined through the type of non-probabilistic and intentional sampling, finally consisting of 30 teachers from the educational institutions in question. The technique used was the survey and two questionnaires were used as instruments, one on transformational leadership and the other on organizational climate. The data treatment was carried out considering the statistical package of the SPSS Program, in its latest version. The conclusions reached are the following: There is a significant relationship between transformational leadership and organizational climate, at a total level and by the dimensions: institutional identity, interpersonal relationships and institutional dynamics, in rural secondary level institutions of the UGEL Tayacaja - Huancavelica
A CIÊNCIA JURÍDICA E O TEMPO: PERSPECTIVAS DA MUTAÇÃO DOS CONCEITOS ESTRUTURAIS DO ORDENAMENTO JURÍDICO JUNTO AO CORRER DAS ÉPOCAS
O presente trabalho possui o condão de analisar a influência do tempo na construção da significação normativa, com a mutação dos conceitos estruturais do direito no decorrer das épocas, notadamente diante a atividade jurisprudencial e do tão propalado ativismo judicial. As alterações na significação normativa redundam na mutação constitucional e em novas definições para o fenômeno normativo de acordo com as novas exigências do tecido social. Nesse exercício, cabe analisar as consequências de quando se extrapola os limites impostos pela concepção normativa trazidos pelo conceito de bloco de constitucionalidade, resultando no ativismo judicial, buscando entender os limites dessa atividade quando em voga a percepção de uma interpretação sistemática e evolutiva da norma jurídica. Dessa forma será perenemente estudado o conceito, os limites e as modalidades de alterações formais e informais da significação normativa, notadamente o aspecto mais controverso da mutação constitucional, para somente ao final, ainda com conclusões apenas parciais, buscar correlacionar com exemplos práticos de ativismo judicial pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal e uma possível ruptura com a noção atual de sistema jurídico aberto e circunscrito pelo conceito de bloco de constitucionalidade em sentido amplo.</jats:p
