The Glue Factories of Casolla: Archaeology of the Structures of a Proto-Industrial Bioclimatic System

In the borough of Casolla, near Caserta, a large number of proto-industrial buildings still exist that were used for the production of animal glue between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The driers, an integral part of these structures, characterise the urban landscape, emerging with their long, high volumes from the mass of traditional buildings. The position and orientation of the driers of the glue factories (known as collére), as they can still be seen today, were chosen solely for the purpose of achieving a very specific natural regime for the internal microclimate, aimed at maximising air flow and speed in order to accelerate the glue drying process. These formal aspects have been preserved until today, despite the changes made by the owners in order to transform the old driers into modern houses. The glue factories of Casolla, with their driers, constitute a "unicum" from an architectural point of view. A partial and updated re-proposal of the ancient production processes would be unimaginable for conservative purposes, because of their harmfulness to human health and their negative impact on the surrounding environment. That is why their conservation may only take place through refunctionalisation, respecting the typological characteristics and material consistency of the old factories. This type of strategy would be particularly effective due to the specific characteristics of the driers, as it would allow these special characteristics of the cultural landscape of the Caserta area to be preserved

Teses sobre a educação municipal e o conselho municipal de educação no Brasil

The central issue of this article focuses on the debates surrounding the participation and mobilizing role of councils. The article presents the tensions present in the councils, originating from their systemic emptying of “traditional” functions, to an advance with regard to its political role of mobilization. To this end, we present the genesis of the councils followed by seven theses on the democratization perspective of the CME, presenting its consequent antitheses and indicating to the reader the task of reflecting on their respective syntheses. It is worth mentioning that the autonomy of councils and councilors is part of the democratic processes of the municipal organization of public education policies, that is, it is related to a collective project of a just and egalitarian society, which implies having access to material, social, cultural, economic and political goods.El tema central de este artículo se centra en los debates en torno a la participación y el papel movilizador de los consejos. El artículo presenta las tensiones presentes en los consejos, derivadas de su vaciado sistémico de las funciones "tradicionales", para avanzar con respecto a su papel político de movilización. Con este fin, presentamos la génesis de los consejos seguida de siete tesis sobre la perspectiva de democratización del WEC, presentando sus consecuentes antítesis e indicando al lector la tarea de reflexionar sobre sus respectivas síntesis. Vale la pena mencionar que la autonomía de los consejos y concejales es parte de los procesos democráticos de la organización municipal de políticas de educación pública, es decir, tiene relación con un proyecto colectivo de sociedad justa e igualitaria, lo que implica tener acceso a patrimonios materiales, sociales, culturales, económicas y políticas.A questão central deste artigo focaliza os debates que giram em torno da participação e papel mobilizador dos conselhos. O artigo apresenta os tensionamentos presentes nos conselhos, originários de seu esvaziamento sistêmico de funções “tradicionais”, para um avanço no que diz respeito ao seu papel político de mobilização; para tanto faz-se uma apresentação da gênese dos conselhos seguida por sete teses sobre a perspectiva de democratização do CME, apresentando suas consequentes antíteses e indicando ao leitor a tarefa de fazer uma reflexão quanto às respectivas sínteses. Vale dizer que a autonomia dos conselhos e dos conselheiros se insere no campo dos processos democráticos da organização municipal das políticas públicas de educação, ou seja, está relacionada a um projeto coletivo de sociedade justa e igualitária, o que implica ter acesso aos bens materiais, sociais, culturais, econômicos e políticos

Tenskinmetric Evaluation of Surface Energy Changes in Adult Skin: Evidence from 834 Normal Subjects Monitored in Controlled Conditions

To evaluate the influence of the skin aging critical level on the adult skin epidermal functional state, an improved analytical method based on the skin surface energetic measurement (TVS modeling) was developed. Tenskinmetric measurements were carried out non-invasively in controlled conditions by contact angle method using only a water-drop as reference standard liquid. Adult skin was monitored by TVS Observatory according to a specific and controlled thermal protocol (Camianta protocol) in use at the interconnected "Mamma Margherita Terme spa" of Terme Euganee. From June to November 2013, the surface free energy and the epidermal hydration level of adult skin were evaluated on arrival of 265 male and 569 female adult volunteers (51–90 years of age) and when they departed 2 weeks later. Sensitive measurements were carried out at 0.1 mN/m. High test compliance was obtained (93.2% of all guests). Very interesting results are obtained. The high sensitivity and discrimination power of tenskinmetry combined with a thermal Camianta protocol demonstrate the possibility to evaluate at baseline level the surface energetic changes and the skin reactivity which occurs on adult skin

O CONSELHO MUNICIPAL DE EDUCAÇÃO NO BRASIL E A QUALIDADE SOCIAL (E POLÍTICA) REFERENCIADA

Presentes na política de redemocratização do estado brasileiro, consubstanciada a partir dos anos iniciais de 1980 e regulamentada pela Constituição de 1988, os conselhos em geral (vinculados às políticas públicas sociais) ganharam destaque enquanto canal legítimo de participação da sociedade. Entraram em vigor naquele período normatizações sobre os mesmos, quando são implementados conselhos de várias áreas, como o da saúde, da segurança, do idoso, da educação, dentre outros. Nosso objeto consiste em relatar as ações do Conselho Municipal de Educação voltadas para a qualidade social e política da educação, tema atual que precisa ser investigado e dissecado para entender a amplitude da universalização do ensino formal que vem sendo realizada, no Brasil, a partir dos anos de 1990. Resultado de investigação documental (fontes primárias e secundárias) que envolveu pesquisadores de cinco instituições de educação superior (UFU, UFG, UFGD, UFMT, UNEMAT), neste artigo problematizamos: (1) elementos característicos da função e do papel do CME quanto às ações empenhadas sobre a qualidade social e política da educação e, (2) as tensões estabelecidas na literatura sobre a concepção de qualidade social e política referenciada da educação. Destacamos, ainda, as contribuições realizadas por parte das sociedades civil e política no sentido de qualificar a educação, buscando incluir e garantir a permanência com sucesso do aluno no sistema educacional escolar.

O texto trata do dever, do direito de escolha e da responsabilização sobre a educação, problematizando o papel da família e a função do Estado. Entende-se, no texto, que educar, para além da educação formal (relação de ensino-aprendizagem sobre os conhecimentos científicos), é a relação estabelecida entre valores, condutas e poder de escolha; o que se constitui em ação política. Isto passa pela relação entre a família, a escola e a sociedade. Esta relação resulta em um modelo de política educacional demandada pelo Estado, porém influenciada por um movimento determinante e determinado com base na organização social, das mobilizações e da centralização do Estado

Ética em pesquisa: implicações para a educação superior

The ethics as a historical movement is the result of combinations, negotiations, disputes of projects, finally integration between entities with differences and diversities. In recent years, the theme has been recurring in higher education when it comes to the research and its submission to the ethics commissions opinion installed in all territories of Brazil. Here, we question the conception of the ethics, approached from a sociological perspective, describing the motion of the committees in the 2010s and its influence on the guidance on the research, development and dissemination of knowledge. The methodology used was theoretical research, exploring productions in books, journal articles and news published by the printed and digital media, as well as some discussions in academic institutions.A ética, como movimento histórico, é resultado de combinações, negociações, disputas de projetos, enfim, de integração entre partes com divergências e diversidades. Nos últimos anos, o tema tem sido recorrente na educação superior, quando se trata da pesquisa e de sua submissão ao parecer de comissões de ética instaladas em todos os territórios do Brasil. Problematiza-se, neste artigo, a concepção de ética, abordada em uma perspectiva sociológica, relatando o movimento sobre os Comitês, na década de 2010, e suas influências nas orientações sobre a pesquisa, a elaboração e a divulgação de conhecimentos. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa teórica, explorando produções em livros, artigos em periódicos e noticiários divulgados pelas mídias impressas e digitais, bem como, alguns debates realizados em instituições acadêmicas
