Dynamic Money-in-the-Utility-Function Model under Monetary and Technology Shocks

The subject of our research is the behavior of the economy in response to monetary and technology shocks. To understand these issues we use a Dynamic Money-in-the-Utility-Function framework. We implement a non-separable property of the utility function that implies non-neutrality of real money balances. We construct a toy theoretic model with two representative agents who maximize their functions subject to constraints. We analytically solve the model using a method of log-linearization around the steady state and obtain the system of linear equations. We analyze the response of economic equilibrium with respect to implemented shocks using a method of undetermined coefficients and solve a system of linear difference expectation equations. In addition to analytical solution we also present Impulse Response Functions of the model. We compute the impacts of monetary and technology shocks on the model and find that in case of a positive monetary shock expected inflation effect dominates the liquidity effect, while in case of a positive productivity shock income effect dominates substitution effect. The findings regarding the impact of a technology shock contradict the theory of real business cycles that predicts the domination of substitution effect over the income effec

The article analyses the content of the regional print media of Perm Krai taking into account different ways to present newspapers on the Internet. The author researches such methods of presenting newspapers and articles on the web as a page on another resource, a website or a web-portal with partial or full publication of texts, an official group in social networks for publication of the materials and absence of representation on the Internet.В статье предпринято описание состава районных печатных средств массовой информации Пермского края в аспекте разных способов представления газеты в интернете. PATHOGEN IMPACT ON THE ACTIVITY DYNAMICS OF POTATO SUSPENSION CELLS EXTRA-CELLULAR PEROXIDASE

Changes in the activity of extracellular peroxidases were measured in cell suspension cultures of potato infected by Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus (Spieck. et Kotth.) Skapt et Burkh. The total extracellular peroxidases activity of the resistant potato variety was higher than that of the sensitive variety both before and after infection. The enzyme of the resistant variety had a рН optimum of 6.2, while that of the sensitive variety was 5.4. Extracellular peroxidases of the sensitive potato variety were activated 10 minutes after infection, and displayed highest activity 1.5-2 hours later. In the resistant variety, peroxidase activity rose sharply in the first minutes of infection, and second peak of activity occurred 1.5-2 hours later. The increase of extracellular peroxidases activity of the sensitive potato variety under pathogenesis is connected with the change of genome expression and synthesis of proteins. The increase of enzyme activity of resistant potato variety in the first moments of infection is not related to proteins synthesis and is apparently conditioned by the change of kinetic parameters

The article presents a survey of the history and relationships of migrants from the South Asia and China in Britain. Their competitive character is underlined. The Chinese diaspora is regarded as a relatively isolated community with high educational and social requests. A review of public sources allows making a conclusion about the desire of the Chinese youth for assimilation and, at the same time, exists the opposite tendency to preserve the national identity.Делается обзор истории и взаимоотношений мигрантов из южной Евразии в Британии. Подчеркивается их конкурентный характер. Китайская диаспора рассматривается как относительно изолированное сообщество с высокими образовательными и социальными запросами. Обзор общедоступных источников позволяет сделать вывод о стремлении китайской молодежи к ассимиляции и, одновременно, противоположной тенденции к сохранению национальной идентичности

«Как возникло литгнездо “Звезды”»: местная газета в литературной жизни Перми 1920-х гг.

This article examines the circumstances behind the formation of regional literary life in the 1920s outside the organising system of the Russian association of proletarian writers with reference to the literary group in the Perm newspaper Zvezda. Works devoted to Russian literature almost completely neglect the role of pre-revolutionary legacy in the cultural life of Soviet Perm. Analysing the Perm situation, one can say that the role of local social and cultural factors in constructing and functioning of literary groups in the 1920s is very important. Studying resolutions of the Central Committee of the RCP(b), archival materials, memoirs, and newspaper publications, it is possible to provide a sociocultural description of the group “We”, to reveal the reasons for its establishment and disintegration and its role in organising the regional literary process. In Perm, the pre-revolutionary circle of talented young people played a pivotal role in the cultural and literary life of the city. The circle consisted of intelligentsia and educated workers. The young authors’ creative work reflected the zeitgeist. Their texts glorified world revolution, proletariat, machines, and Ural plants while rhythmically being reminiscent of Mayakovsky’s poetry. The participants of the circle constituted the core of the provincial newspaper Zvezda and united all the literary talents of the city around themselves as they organised literary soirees, attracted new authors, and published their works on the pages of the newspaper. In 1924, the literary management functions were transferred to Sverdlovsk and the most active members of the group were sent to other regions of the country. However, the Perm branch of the Russian association of proletarian writers did not work. At the same time, the newspaper Zvezda preserved literary traditions and it can be considered the centre of literary life in the vast Perm region until the time when the Union of Soviet Writers was established.В статье на примере литературной группы при пермской газете «Звезда» исследуются обстоятельства формирования региональной литературной жизни 1920-х гг. вне организующей системы Российской ассоциации пролетарских писателей. История русской литературы почти не учитывает дореволюционное наследие в культурной жизни советской эпохи. Пример Перми показывает, что роль местных социокультурных факторов в создании и функционировании литературных групп 1920-х гг. могла быть определяющей. Изучение постановлений ЦК РКП(б), архивных материалов, мемуаров и газетных публикаций позволило впервые дать социокультурную характеристику состава пермской литературной группы «Мы», определить причины ее создания и распада, роль в организации регионального литературного процесса. Дореволюционный кружок творческой молодежи в городе Перми после революции стал самым ярким литературным явлением города. В него вошли дети представителей губернской интеллигенции и образованных рабочих. Творчество молодых авторов соответствовало духу времени. Их произведения воспевают мировую революцию, пролетариат, машины и заводы, горнозаводской Урал, а в ритмике отчетливо влияние поэзии В. Маяковского. Участники кружка составили ядро губернской газеты «Звезда» и объеди­нили вокруг себя все литературные силы города — проводили литературные вечера, привлекали новых авторов, публиковали их произведения на страницах газеты. После того как функции управления литературой в 1924 г. были переданы в Свердловск, самые активные участники группы были направлены на работу в другие регионы страны. Однако созданное в Перми отделение РАПП фактически не функционировало, тогда как газета «Звезда» сохранила литературные традиции и была центром литературной жизни обширного Пермского региона вплоть до создания Союза советских писателей
