Building a Site-Based Interactive Content Management System Using PHPNuke

This site is a comprehensive site where all the lawyer-categories of sites can be carried out for various things in accordance with the desired criteria. Therefore, the authors propose an alternative to building an interactive site-based Content Management System using PHPNuke
Transport across nanogaps using semiclassically consistent boundary conditions
Charge particle transport across nanogaps is studied theoretically within the
Schrodinger-Poisson mean field framework and the existence of limiting current
investigated. It is shown that the choice of a first order WKB wavefunction as
the transmitted wave leads to self consistent boundary conditions and gives
results that are significantly different in the non-classical regime from those
obtained using a plane transmitted wave. At zero injection energies, the
quantum limiting current density, J_c, is found to obey the local scaling law
J_c ~ (V_g)^alpha/(D)^{5-2alpha} with the gap separation D and voltage V_g. The
exponent alpha > 1.1 with alpha --> 3/2 in the classical regime of small de
Broglie wavelengths. These results are consistent with recent experiments using
nanogaps most of which are found to be in a parameter regime where classical
space charge limited scaling holds away from the emission dominated regime.Comment: 4 pages, 4 ps figure
\u27Kids in design\u27: designing creative schools with children
There is a consensus that children should be involved in the planning and design process of their schools, and attempts have been made throughout the world. This paper introduces a \u27Kids in Design\u27 project, through which primary school children worked with university architecture students to design a school playground. The aim of the project was to encourage the full potential of children\u27s creativity and generate creative school design outcomes. From October to December 2011, the \u27Kids in Design\u27 project was conducted in Roslyn Road Primary School (Geelong, Australia). Through eight weeks of workshops, children in Year 5 & 6 worked with architecture students from Deakin University (Geelong, Australia) to design a school playground. Assessing the design outcomes of this project, assertions are made that creative design outcomes have been achieved. Deakin University is currently working with another primary school to replicate the \u27Kids in Design\u27 project in 2012
Graphene Transport at High Carrier Densities using a Polymer Electrolyte Gate
We report the study of graphene devices in Hall-bar geometry, gated with a
polymer electrolyte. High densities of 6 are
consistently reached, significantly higher than with conventional back-gating.
The mobility follows an inverse dependence on density, which can be correlated
to a dominant scattering from weak scatterers. Furthermore, our measurements
show a Bloch-Gr\"uneisen regime until 100 K (at 6.2 ),
consistent with an increase of the density. Ubiquitous in our experiments is a
small upturn in resistivity around 3 , whose origin is
discussed. We identify two potential causes for the upturn: the renormalization

Incremental elasticity for array databases
Relational databases benefit significantly from elasticity, whereby they execute on a set of changing hardware resources provisioned to match their storage and processing requirements. Such flexibility is especially attractive for scientific databases because their users often have a no-overwrite storage model, in which they delete data only when their available space is exhausted. This results in a database that is regularly growing and expanding its hardware proportionally. Also, scientific databases frequently store their data as multidimensional arrays optimized for spatial querying. This brings about several novel challenges in clustered, skew-aware data placement on an elastic shared-nothing database. In this work, we design and implement elasticity for an array database. We address this challenge on two fronts: determining when to expand a database cluster and how to partition the data within it. In both steps we propose incremental approaches, affecting a minimum set of data and nodes, while maintaining high performance. We introduce an algorithm for gradually augmenting an array database's hardware using a closed-loop control system. After the cluster adds nodes, we optimize data placement for n-dimensional arrays. Many of our elastic partitioners incrementally reorganize an array, redistributing data only to new nodes. By combining these two tools, the scientific database efficiently and seamlessly manages its monotonically increasing hardware resources.Intel Corporation (Science and Technology Center for Big Data
Locating the ‘radical’ in 'Shoot the Messenger'

The final published article is available from the link below, copyright 2013 @ Edinburgh University Press.The 2006 BBC drama Shoot the Messenger is based on the psychological journey of a Black schoolteacher, Joe Pascale, accused of assaulting a Black male pupil. The allegation triggers Joe's mental breakdown which is articulated, through Joe's first-person narration, as a vindictive loathing of Black people. In turn, a range of common stereotypical characterisations and discourses based on a Black culture of hypocrisy, blame and entitlement is presented. The text is therefore laid wide open to a critique of its neo-conservatism and hegemonic narratives of Black Britishness. However, the drama's presentation of Black mental illness suggests that Shoot the Messenger may also be interpreted as a critique of social inequality and the destabilising effects of living with ethnicised social categories. Through an analysis of issues of representation, the article reclaims this controversial text as a radical drama and examines its implications for and within a critical cultural politics of ‘race’ and representation
Accelerating cycle expansions by dynamical conjugacy
Periodic orbit theory provides two important functions---the dynamical zeta
function and the spectral determinant for the calculation of dynamical averages
in a nonlinear system. Their cycle expansions converge rapidly when the system
is uniformly hyperbolic but greatly slowed down in the presence of
non-hyperbolicity. We find that the slow convergence can be associated with
singularities in the natural measure. A properly designed coordinate
transformation may remove these singularities and results in a dynamically
conjugate system where fast convergence is restored. The technique is
successfully demonstrated on several examples of one-dimensional maps and some
remaining challenges are discussed
Candidemia from a Urinary Tract Source: Microbiological Aspects and Clinical Significance
Twenty-six cases of candidemia associated with a well-defined urinary tract source were retrospectively identified and reviewed. Urinary tract abnormalities were present in 23 of 26 patients (88%), 19 (73%) of whom had urinary tract obstruction. Nineteen patients had undergone urinary tract procedures before the onset of candidemia. Episodes of candidemia were brief and low-grade in intensity (median duration, 1 day; median colony count, 1.5 cfu/10 mL of blood). Only eight patients (31%) received ⩾500 mg of amphotericin B. There were five in-hospital deaths (19%); two of these deaths were attributed to candidiasis. No late complications of candidemia were documented for the surviving patients. Patients with urologic pathology and candiduria who undergo surgery or manipulation of the urinary tract are at significant risk for candidemia, and further studies should examine the issue of administration of prophylaxis to this grou
Moment inversion problem for piecewise D-finite functions
We consider the problem of exact reconstruction of univariate functions with
jump discontinuities at unknown positions from their moments. These functions
are assumed to satisfy an a priori unknown linear homogeneous differential
equation with polynomial coefficients on each continuity interval. Therefore,
they may be specified by a finite amount of information. This reconstruction
problem has practical importance in Signal Processing and other applications.
It is somewhat of a ``folklore'' that the sequence of the moments of such
``piecewise D-finite''functions satisfies a linear recurrence relation of
bounded order and degree. We derive this recurrence relation explicitly. It
turns out that the coefficients of the differential operator which annihilates
every piece of the function, as well as the locations of the discontinuities,
appear in this recurrence in a precisely controlled manner. This leads to the
formulation of a generic algorithm for reconstructing a piecewise D-finite
function from its moments. We investigate the conditions for solvability of the
resulting linear systems in the general case, as well as analyze a few
particular examples. We provide results of numerical simulations for several
types of signals, which test the sensitivity of the proposed algorithm to

Transdisciplinary working to shape systematic reviews and interpret the findings: Commentary

Important policy questions tend to span a range of academic disciplines, and the relevant research is often carried out in a variety of social, economic and geographic contexts. In efforts to synthesise research to help inform decisions arising from the policy questions, systematic reviews need conceptual frameworks and ways of thinking that combine knowledge drawn from different academic traditions and contexts; in other words, transdisciplinary research. This paper considers how transdisciplinary working can be achieved with: conceptual frameworks that span traditional academic boundaries; methods for shaping review questions and conceptual frameworks; and methods for interpreting the relevance of findings to different contexts.
