Morphological changes in kidney glomeruli of rats with chronic toxic hepatitis and its correction with lisinopril, L-arginine-L-glutamate and their combination
The article presents structural changes of glomerular component of kidneys in rats with chronic toxic hepatitis (CTH) and the results of its correction with lisinopril and L-arginine L-glutamate. The influence of ACE inhibitors or angiotensin-blockers (AT) II on RAS chains is known to result in positive therapeutic effect. Addition of lisinopril to complex therapy has positively affected not only the clinical manifestations of the disease but also the functional status of kidneys, primarily due to the influence on filtration processes.
Considering the significance of RAS activation in the development of hepatorenal syndrome, the aim of the work was to study the influence of ACE inhibitors (lisinopril) on kidney morphological structure during modeling of CTH, to compare its effect with hepatoprotector L-Glutargin-L-glutamate as well as to evaluate structural changes in kidney glomeruli after combined use of those drugs. The experimental study was conducted on 60 white laboratory immature rats, with initial body weight of 50-70g. CTH was modeled by intragastric administration of CCl4 oil solution in a dose of 0.1 ml / 100 g of the body weight twice a week for eight weeks. Drug correction was performed by introduction of lisinopril (in a dose of 20 mg / kg) and L-arginine-L-glutamate (in a dose of 30 mg / kg).
The study revealed pronounced morphological changes in kidney glomeruli (destruction of glomerular vessels and cells) in CTH. The use of corrective factors in the experiment made it possible to decrease the severity of pathological changes. The use of lisinopril resulted in restoration of glomerular structure. After administration of L-arginine-L-glutamate, decrease of degenerative changes in kidney glomeruli was detected. Combined use of both chemical compounds mutually potentiated their action and was accompanied by membrane-stabilizing effect and intensification of aforementioned restoration processes in structural components of nephron glomeruli. Thus, it was established that after 90 days of experimentally modeled CTH, pronounced morphological changes in kidney glomeruli (destruction of vessels and glomerular cells) occurred

Features of plasma electrolytic oxidation of the AL25 cast complex-alloyed aluminum alloy are discussed. It has been shown that a variation in the nature and concentration ratio of the electrolyte components provides the formation of mixed-oxide coatings containing the materials of the basic matrix and the dopant. An increase in the coating thickness and the manganese oxide content in the coating is achieved by the homogenization of the treated surface owing to the simultaneous formation of oxides and the removal of alloying components of the alloy from the surface layers. Current density intervals that provide a uniform distribution of elements in the coating and a high efficiency of the Faraday and thermochemical reactions are determined. It is found that the stoichiometric oxygen index in MnOx oxides is x = 1.71β1.87. Testing of the synthesized oxide systems in the model oxidation of carbon (II) oxide to COβ shows that the ignition and complete conversion temperatures are at the level of values characteristic of platinum catalysts.Π Π°ΡΡΠΌΠΎΡΡΠ΅Π½Ρ ΠΎΡΠΎΠ±Π΅Π½Π½ΠΎΡΡΠΈ ΠΏΠ»Π°Π·ΠΌΠ΅Π½Π½ΠΎ-ΡΠ»Π΅ΠΊΡΡΠΎΠ»ΠΈΡΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΠΎΠΊΡΠΈΠ΄ΠΈΡΠΎΠ²Π°Π½ΠΈΡ Π»ΠΈΡΠ΅ΠΉΠ½ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΡΠ»ΠΎΠΆΠ½ΠΎΠ»Π΅Π³ΠΈΡΠΎΠ²Π°Π½Π½ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ ΡΠΏΠ»Π°Π²Π° Π°Π»ΡΠΌΠΈΠ½ΠΈΡ ΠΠ25. Oxidation kinetics of hercynite spinels for solar thermochemical fuel production
The development of an economically viable solar thermochemical fuel production process relies largely on identifying redox active materials with optimized thermodynamic and kinetic properties. Iron aluminate (FeAl2O4, hercynite) and cobalt-iron aluminate (CoxFe1-xAl2O4) have both been demonstrated as viable redox-active materials for this process. However, doping with cobalt creates a tradeoff between the thermodynamics and kinetics of H2 production mediated by hercynite in which the kinetics are improved at the expense of lowering the yield. In this work, we evaluate four spinel aluminate materials with varying cobalt contents (FeAl2O4, Co0.05Fe0.95Al2O4, Co0.25Fe0.75Al2O4, and Co0.40Fe0.60Al2O4) to better understand the role of cobalt in the redox mediating properties of these materials and to quantify its effect on the thermodynamic and kinetic properties for CO2 reduction. A solid-state kinetic analysis was performed on each sample to model its CO2 reduction kinetics at temperatures ranging from 1200 Β°C to 1350 Β°C. An F1 model representative of first-order reaction kinetics was found to most accurately represent the experimental data for all materials evaluated. The computed rate constants, activation energies, and pre-exponential factors all increase with increasing cobalt content. High temperature in-situ XPS was utilized to characterize the spinel surfaces and indicated the presence of metallic states of the reduced cobalt-iron spinel, which are not present in un-doped hercynite. These species provide a new site for the CO2 reduction reaction and enhance its rate through an increased pre-exponential factor
Disinfection of Surfaces Contaminated with SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus by UV Radiation of Low-Pressure Mercury-Vapour Lamp
The aim of the work was to determine the effective ultraviolet (UV) doses required for the disinfection of surfaces contaminated with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus using a low-pressure mercury lamp. Materials and methods. To carry out prompt disinfection of surfaces, a specially designed source of UV radiation with a power of 7.5 W at a wavelength of 254 nm in the form of a portable flashlight was employed, which has a high efficiency of UV radiation output and the possibility of long-term autonomous operation from a compact battery. In the studies, a suspension culture of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus with biological activity of 5.3β106 PFU/ml was used. The objects of testing were plastic Petri dishes (disposable) and office paper (grade C, density 80 g/m2 ). Results and discussion. Doses of UV radiation that provide disinfection of surfaces contaminated with the COVID-19 pathogen with an efficiency of 99.0 % (paper) to 99.95 % (plastic) have been determined. The results obtained make it possible to recommend a portable UV irradiator for use in the practice of preventive measures to combat the spread of the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus

The Economic Mechanism of Management of Natural Resources: Rents for the Use of Subsoil Assets
The essential attributes of the institutional and methodological ensuring for the charging and distribution of rents for the subsoil minerals exploitation in the system of functioning of an economic mechanism of management of natural resources has been being disclosed. Consideration was given to the structure of income from the rents for the use of subsoil assets into the Consolidated, the State and the local budgets of Ukraine. The article analyzes the main tendencies in the income of rents for the use of subsoil for mining of State-owned minerals, natural gas, oil, and gas condensate, in current and comparable prices. The content of rents for the use of subsoil for mining amber has been disclosed and the results of the first year of institutionalization of this fiscal payment have been analyzed. The article suggests directions to improve the charging and distribution of rents for the use of subsoil assets by increasing the differentiation of rates, enhancing the stimulating role of the rent regulation of using subsoil, accumulation of part of the mineral-commodity rent in the special funds of budget at different levels
