    Barokne reference u delima Vlastimira Trajkovića

    The article examines Baroque references in three Trajković’s compositions: Arion, Le nuove musiche per Chitarra ed Archi op. 8 (1979), Le retour des zéphyres ou ‘Zefi ro torna’ op. 25 (2001) and solo song Renouveau from the cycle Cinq poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé op. 29, in its version for voice, fl ute and piano (2003), all these compositions being unified by the idea of modernity and novelty, metaphorically contained also in the idea of renewal of nature, which connects music of the moderns from the beginning of the 17th century and Trajković’s search for new paths in music, opposite to ‘gothic’ tangles of the Avant-garde. Complex and multi-layered, the references to the Baroque era in Trajković’s works reflect fundamentally generic, archetextual relations. Compositions Arion and Zefi ro torna are set upon explicit references to Italian origins of the Baroque epoch, in theoretical, as well as in the creative domain (to Caccini’s collection of madrigals - Le Nuove Musiche, 1601, and Monteverdi’s madrigal Zefi ro torna, 1614, after Petrarch’s sonnet). Zefi ro torna, with a primarily French title and subtitles of the ‘scenes’ given after antique mythological sources, indicates, again, a twofold generic relation: to the Italian madrigal tradition (including another Monteverdi’s madrigal with the same title composed after Rinuccini’s sonnet, from 1632) and the French tradition of opera/ballet, additionally mediated by references to the opuses of Debussy and Ravel. Multiple literary and musical trans-historical relations can be observed in the solo song Renouveau. However, from these compositions, implicit generic relations, far more than explicit para-textual references, with the whole corpus of themes, forms, texts, discourses as well as crucial poetic concepts of the 17th-century music can be inferred.Članak je usmeren na razmatranje baroknih referenci u tri Trajkovićeve kompozicije: Arion, Le nuove musiche per Chitarra ed Archi op. 8 (1979), Le retour des zéphyres ou ‘Zefi ro torna’, op. 25 (2001) i u pesmi Renouveau iz ciklusa Cinq poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé, op. 29 u verziji za glas, flautu u klavir (2003). Sve kompozicije su objedinjene idejom modernosti i novine, metaforički sadržanom i u ideji obnavljanja prirode, koja povezuje muziku modernih na početku XVII veka i Trajkovićevo traganje za novim putevima muzike u odnosu na ‘gotičke’ zaplete avangarde. Složene i višestruke, reference na barokno doba muzike u Trajkovićevim delima odražavaju bitno generički, arhitekstualni odnos. Kompozicije Arion i Zefi ro torna postavljene su na eksplicitnim referencama na italijansko izvorište barokne epohe, kako u teorijskom, tako u stvaralačkom domenu (na Kačinijevu /Caccini/ zbirku madrigala Le Nuove Musiche, 1601, i Monteverdijev madrigal Zefi ro torna /1614/ prema sonetu Petrarke). Zefi ro torna, s primarno francuskim naslovom i podnaslovima ‘scena’ prema antičkim mitološkim izvorima, upućuje, opet, na dvostruki generički odnos prema italijanskoj madrigalskoj tradiciji i francuskoj tradiciji opere/baleta, dodatno posredovan referencama na stvaralaštvo Debisija (Debussy) i Ravela (Ravel). Višestruke literarne i muzičke transistorijske veze ostvaruju se u pesmi Renouveau. No, u ovim kompozicijama se, mnogo više od ekspliciranih paratekstualnih referenci, ostvaruje implicitan, generički odnos s čitavim korpusom tema, formi, tekstova, diskursa, kao i bitnih koncepata muzike XVII veka

    Revision of the genus Eumerus Meigen, 1822 (Diptera: Syrphidae) on Balkan peninsula

    Osolike muve predstavljaju veliku familiju dvokrilaca koja u ekosistemu ima važnu ulogu oprašivača biljaka i razlaganja organske materije. One su takođe dobar indikator narušenosti ekosistema.  Stoga je poznavanje njihove taksonomije i ekologije od izuzetnog značaja. Jedan od tri najbrojnija roda osolikih muva  predstavlja rod Eumerus, čija revizija na Balkanskom poluostrvu je predmet ove disertacije. Balkansko poluostrvo predstavlja izuzetan centar raznovrsnosti živog sveta, između ostalih familija i za osolike muve. Za rod Eumerus, ono je pored Srednje Azije i Južne Afrike, jedan od centara specijacije.Predstavnici roda Eumerus su uglavnom sitnije crne muve, ponekad sa crvenim trbuhom. Karakterišu ih bele poprašene  trake na tergitima, dva reda trnova na metafemuru  apikoventralno i uvučena gornja spoljašnja poprečna vena na  krilu, često sa dva kratka ispusta na ispupčenoj strani, okrenuta ka spolja. Cilj ove disertacije bio je utvrđivanje tačnog broja  vrsta na Balkanskom poluostrvu i razrešavanje njihove  taksonomije. Kao rezultat, utvrđeno je 44 prisutne vrste na  istraživanom području koje su na osnovu morfološke sličnosti  podeljene u deset grupa. Tri utvrđene vrste ne pripadaju  nijednoj grupi. U toku ovog istraživanja otkriveno je 12 vrsta novih za nauku: E. aurofinis, E. banaticus, in litt., E.   bicornis  , in  litt.,  E. crassus ,  E. kar yates , in li tt., E. montanum, E.   montenegr inus, E.  nigrorufus, in litt., E. phaeacus, in litt.,  E. rubrum, E. tenuitarsis , in litt. i E. torsicus. Geometrijska morfometrija krila je d ala odlične rezultate za razdvajanje  kriptičnih taksona u okviru roda Eumerus, primenjena na  vrstama grupe minotaurus. Utvrđeni su najznačajniji morfološki karakteri za razlikovanje vrsta. Jedan od veoma  značajnih rezultata ove disertacije je ključ za identifikaciju  vrsta roda Eumerus na Balkanskom poluostrvu. Na osnovu morfološke analize donet je zaključak da tricolor grupa  predstavlja morfološki zasebnu taksonomsku celinu sa jasnim  indicijama da je njen rang iznad grupe vrsta. Centre diverziteta  vrsta roda Eumerus na istraživanom području predstavljaju, prema bogastvu vrsta grčka ostrva Lezbos i Krf i jugoistočni  deo Crne Gore uključujući Skadarsko jezero. Na osnovu Šenonovog indeksa diverziteta, područja sa najvećim indeksom su sledeća: ostrva Hios, Lezbos i Krf, zatim Peloponez i veći  deo Crne Gore.Hoverflies represents a large family of Diptera that have in the ecosystem an important role of pollinators and decomposer of organic matter. They are also a good indicator of ecosystem disruption. Therefore, knowledge of their taxonomy and ecology is of great importance. One of the three most numerous genus of hoverflies is the genus Eumerus, whose revision in the Balkan Peninsula is the subject of this dissertation. The Balkan Peninsula is an exceptional center of biodiversity, for  hoverflies among other families. For the genus  Eumerus, Balkan Peninsula is next to  Central Asia and South Africa, one of the centers of speciation. Representatives of the genus  Eumerus  are mostly small black flies, sometimes with red abdomen. They are characterized by white stripes on the tergites, two rows of spines on the metafemur apico-ventrally and recessed upper outer transverse wing vein. The aim of  this dissertation was to determine the number of species on the Balkan  Peninsula and to resolve their taxonomy. As a result, 44 species were identified in the investigated area, which are divided into ten groups based on the  morphological similarity. The three species identified do not belong to any group. In the course of this study, 12 new species were discovered for the science:  E. aurofinis, E. banaticus, in litt.,  E. bicornis, in litt.,  E. crassus,  E. karyates, in litt.,  E. montanum,  E. montenegrinus,  E. nigrorufus, in litt.,  E. phaeacus, in litt.,  E. rubrum, E. tenuitarsis, in litt. and  E. torsicus. The geometric  morphometry of the wings gave excellent results for the separation of cryptic taxons within the genus  Eumerus, applied to the species of the  minotaurus  group. The most important morphological characters for differentiating species were determined. One of the very important results of this dissertation is the identification key for species of the genus  Eumerus  on the Balkan Peninsula. Based on morphological analysis, conclusion is that the tricolor  group represents a morphologically separate taxonomic entity with clear indications that its rank is above a group of species. The centers of diversity of the genus  Eumerus  in the research area represent, according to the species richness of the Greek island of Lesbos and Corfu and the southeastern  part of Montenegro including the Skadar Lake. Based on the Shannon’s Diversity Index, the areas with the highest index are as follows: the islands of Hios, Lesbos and Corfu, then Peloponnese and most of Montenegro

    Effect of welded joint imperfection on the load-carrying capacity of pipe elbows subjected to in – plane bending moment

    The defects in pipe elbows can, depending on their size and position, affect the integrity and safe service, as well as deformation ability of the piping systems in exploitation. Incompletely filled groove, which is the type of defect examined here, was observed by ultrasonic measurement on the pipeline in the regulation system of the hydro power plant Djerdap. Three-dimensional finite element analysis is performed using Simulia Abaqus software package. First, the models with dimensions of the defects observed by non-destructive examination are formed. Stress and strain fields for different loading types are shown and commented. The influence of the defect dimensions on the pipe elbow load-carrying capacity is determined through plastic collapse loads, which are obtained from bending moment - rotation angle diagrams. Twice elastic slope (TES) technique is applied. Additionally, some more severe defects are considered, in the form of sharp pre-cracks at the bottom of the defect; plastic collapse loads are also determined for these geometries. Both opening and closing bending moments are taken into consideration and the results are discussed and compared to two closed-form solutions from the literature.     Antioksidativni status i kliničko-patološki parametri kod obolelih od Parkinsonove bolesti

    Backgroun / Aim. Constant production of free radicals and antioxidants (AO) in the cell is a part of normal cellular function. Their imbalance might take a part in pathophysiology of many diseases, including Parkinson’s disease (PD). Evaluation of the disease status, prooxidant-antioxidant balance (PAB) and antioxidants are being widely estimated. The aim of this study was to examine potential interaction between several AO variables (GSH, SOD, CAT and PAB) and clinicopathological features of patients with PD, particularly Hoehn and Yahr (H&Y) stage. Methods. A multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was conducted to test the hypothesis of the mean differences between clinicopathological characteristics (gender, age at examination, duration of the disease, and H&Y stage) and AO variables, compared with age/sex matched healthy controls. The study included 91 patients with idiopatic PD patients and 20 healthy controls. Results. The multivariate effect size was estimated at 0.269, p <0.001, implying that 27.0% of the variance of the dependent variables was accounted for H&Y stage. Univariate tests showed that there were significant differences (p <0.001) across the H&Y stage on all AO variables. The H&Y stage remained significant predictor after controlling for the second variable, the disease duration (p <0.001, η2 = 0.249), and there were still significant differences across the H&Y stage on all variables, with effect size ( η2) ranging from 0.132, p =0.011 (lnGSH) to the still high values of 0.535 (lnPAB), 0.627 (lnSOD) and 0.964 (lnCAT). Conclusion. The results indicate that higher level of oxidative stress in blood of PD patients is possibly related to PD stage.     Research on the community of aquatic macroinvertebrates was carried out during 2005 and 2006 at four sampling sites along the Jablanica River, a right-hand tributary of the Kolubara River. Fifty-seven taxa were recorded in the course of the investigation. The most diverse group was Ephemeroptera, followed by Trichoptera and Plecoptera. Members of the Rhitrogena semicolorata group were the most abundant. Our results could be the basis for evaluation of the influence of damming of the Jablanica River on the status of its water and can serve as a model for studying the influ­ence of hydromorphological degradation of aquatic ecosystems

    Non-coding RNAs in preeclampsia—molecular mechanisms and diagnostic potential

    Preeclampsia (PE) is a leading cause of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Defects in trophoblast invasion, differentiation of extravillous trophoblasts and spiral artery remodeling are key factors in PE development. Currently there are no predictive biomarkers clinically available for PE. Recent technological advancements empowered transcriptome exploration and led to the discovery of numerous non-coding RNA species of which microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are the most investigated. They are implicated in the regulation of numerous cellular functions, and as such are being extensively explored as potential biomarkers for various diseases. Altered expression of numerous lncRNAs and miRNAs in placenta has been related to pathophysiological processes that occur in preeclampsia. In the following text we offer summary of the latest knowledge of the molecular mechanism by which lnRNAs and miRNAs (focusing on the chromosome 19 miRNA cluster (C19MC)) contribute to pathophysiology of PE development and their potential utility as biomarkers of PE, with special focus on sample selection and techniques for the quantification of lncRNAs and miRNAs in maternal circulation

    Effect of welded joint imperfection on the integrity of pipe elbows subjected to internal pressure

    Imajući u vidu da lokalna oštećenja smanjuju nosivost i mogućnost deformiranja cjevovoda, analiziran je utjecaj grešaka u zavarenom spoju na integritet cijevnih lukova izloženih djelovanju unutarnjeg tlaka. Ispitivane su greške tipa neprovarenosti, jer su defekti ovog tipa prethodno otkriveni ultrazvučnim ispitivanjem na unutarnjoj površini cjevovoda u hidroelektrani. Trodimenzijska analiza metodom konačnih elemenata je urađena uporabom programskog paketa Abaqus. Određen je utjecaj geometrije defekta u zavarenom spoju (dubina, duljina i položaj) na integritet cijevnih lukova. Također je određen pad nosivosti u slučaju da postoji pukotina na dnu defekta. Ispitan je utjecaj tipa konačnih elemenata (rabljeni su elementi oblika heksaedra i tetraedra).Since local defects reduce the load-carrying capacity and deformation ability of a piping system, an analysis is undertaken to quantify the influence of weld defects on integrity of the pipe elbows subjected to internal pressure. Incompletely filled groove is examined, because this type of defect was previously detected by ultrasonic measurement on the inner surface of the pipeline from a hydro-power plant. Three-dimensional finite element analysis is conducted using Abaqus software package. The influence of weld defect geometry (its depth, length and location) on the elbow integrity is determined. Additionally, decrease of load carrying capacity is determined for the case when a crack has initiated at the bottom of the defect.     Long-term Effects of Oxidative Stress in Volleyball Players

    The aim of this study was to determine the impact of long-term training on elite female volleyball players and to determine parameters that could discriminate them according to the level of oxidative stress-associated adaptation. Fifty-four elite female volleyball players were divided into 3 groups (1: below-average training experience lt 8.0 years, 2: average training experience between 8.0 and 10.5 years and 3: above-average training experience > 10.5 years). The measured parameters were reactive oxygen metabolites, biological anti-oxidative potential, superoxide anion, malondialdehyde, advanced oxidation protein products, lipid hydroperoxides, paraoxonase activity, superoxide-dismutase activity and sulphydryl groups. Multiple discriminant analysis of the oxidative stress status parameters between the three groups of athletes indicated a statistically significant difference (Wilks' lambda=0.458, X-2=35.898, p=0.031). The most important discriminant variables, superoxide-dismutase and superoxide anion, were the best indicators of differences between groups with different training experience. The significantly higher values were found in Group 3 compared with Group 1 in superoxide-dismutase activity (141 +/- 32 vs. 86 +/- 46; p=0.002), sulphydryl groups (p=0.031), and reactive oxygen metabolites (p = 0.042). The significantly lower superoxide anion was found between Group 3 and Group 1 (377 +/- 187 vs. 1183 +/- 905; p=0.001).
