A fractional porous medium equation

We develop a theory of existence, uniqueness and regularity for a porous medium equation with fractional diffusion, $\frac{\partial u}{\partial t} + (-\Delta)^{1/2} (|u|^{m-1}u)=0$ in $\mathbb{R}^N$, with $m>m_*=(N-1)/N$, $N\ge1$ and $f\in L^1(\mathbb{R}^N)$. An $L^1$-contraction semigroup is constructed and the continuous dependence on data and exponent is established. Nonnegative solutions are proved to be continuous and strictly positive for all $x\in\mathbb{R}^N$, $t>0$

Desenvolvimento de Habilidades e Competências Através do Ensino Superior

Esse artigo aborda a questão do desenvolvimento de competências, objetivo que sempre foi buscado pelo ensino mas que hoje apresenta um caráter de urgência maior. A partir de um estudo realizado numa instituição de ensino superior na Bahia, fica demonstrado que uma das formas de fazer com que os alunos despertem para a necessidade de monitorar a sua própria aprendizagem, ou seja , do desenvolvimento de sua competência, é lhe proporcionar uma forma de aferir o resultado de sua aprendizagem numa situação real, no mundo real onde suas competências serão requeridas

Estado del arte en la oxidación avanzada a efluentes industriales: nuevos desarrollos y futuras tendencias

Este artículo quiere enmarcar a las tecnologías de oxidación avanzada en el escenario presente y futuro del tratamiento de aguas. En una primera parte se describe la situacion del agua a nivel mundial y la imperante necesidad de agua límpia y segura como condición necesaria para el desarrollo humano. En ese esfuerzo global las tecnologías de oxidación avanzada pueden contribuir en el tratamiento y mejora de la calidad de las aguas contaminadas, en especial de los efluentes industriales. En un segundo apartado se pasará a ahondar en las principales características de este tipo de tecnologías, para en un apartado final esbozar las principales tendencias y líneas de desarrollo actuales y futuras de la oxidación avanzada

From trivium to smart education

[EN] Rethinking the classics for thinking the future. This could be the compendium of the present article, in which we propose a revision of the immediate future of education based on the classic project of the Trivium. We will analyze, first, the transformation of education in the perspective of smart education, determined by the impact of technology and by the reflection on the competences of the 21st century; secondly, we will review the strategic and methodological proposals in accordance with this transformation, based on the theory of generative learning; thirdly, from the point of view of contents, we will analyse the impor- tance of core digital skills as programming and computational thinking. On this basis, the paper offers a proposal from a dual perspective. Firstly, by rethinking the main issues of education in the light of the history of the Trivium and the epistemological principles that shaped it. Secondly, by proposing the recovery of the Trivium disciplines (Grammar, Rhetoric and Logic) having in mind the debate on the competences of the 21st century, as the best instrument to enrich the current educational systems, especially in view of the challenges of digitalization

Microglanis cottoides (Boulenger, 1891) (Siluriformes: Pseudopimelodidae): Distribution extension to Salí-Dulce River basin, northwestern Argentina

Microglanis cottoides (Boulenger 1891) is a known Paraná-Plata River basin catfish. Its geographic distribution is herein extended to a new drainage system, the Salí-Dulce River system, northwestern Argentina, which is a separate drainage from the Paraná-Plata basin.Fil: Fernandez, Luis Alfredo.
