Traumatic Pseudoaneurysm of the Middle Meningeal Artery Causing an Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Traumatic aneurysms comprise less than 1% of all intracranial aneurysms. Most of these aneurysms are actually false aneurysms, or pseudoaneurysms, which are caused by the rupture of entire vessel wall layers, with the wall of the aneurysm being formed by the surrounding cerebral structures. Traumatic pseudoaneurysms of the middle meningeal artery are also rare. Only four cases have been reported in the literature with intracerebral hematoma. GESTÃO ESCOLAR E PROCESSO DE ESCOLARIZAÇÃO DA EJA: IMPASSE E PERSPECTIVA

This article results from the study on the provision of schooling for young people and adults. Focuses on the performance of school management in the process. The research aimed to verify the central educational management process of adult and youth education, identifying the possible advances and setbacks of this mode of teaching in the educational center of Tanhaçu, Bahia. It is a qualitative research, technical procedure used field research, being supplemented by the semiestrutura interview for the collection of data and information. The results highlight that youth and adult education management requires more attention regarding the basic issues of education, requires the completion of the democratic management and participatory, to ensure the improvement of the teaching quality of adult and youth education.Este artigo resulta do estudo sobre a oferta de escolarização para as pessoas jovens e adultas. Tem como foco o desempenho da gestão escolar neste processo. A investigação teve como objetivo central verificar o processo de gestão educacional da Educação de Jovens e Adultos, identificando os possíveis avanços e retrocessos desta modalidade de ensino, no Centro Educacional de Tanhaçu, Bahia. É uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, que teve como procedimento técnico utilizado a pesquisa de campo, sendo complementado pela entrevista semiestrutura para a coleta de dados e informações. Os resultados destacam que a gestão da Educação de Jovens e Adultos necessita de maior atenção no que tange as questões básicas da educação, exige a efetivação da gestão democrática e participativa, para garantir a melhoria da qualidade do ensino da Educação de Jovens e Adultos

Estimação da área foliar total do coqueiro anão verde (Cocos nucifera L.)

Leaf area has significant effect on tree transpiration, and its measurement is important to many study areas. This work aimed at developing a non-destructive, practical, and empirical method to estimate the total leaf area of green dwarf coconut palms (Cocos nucifera L.) in plantations located at the northern region of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. A mathematical model was developed to estimate total leaf area values (TLA) as function of the average lengths of the last three leaf raquis (LR3), and of the number of leaves in the canopy (NL). The model has satisfactory degree of accuracy for agricultural engineering purposes.A área foliar influencia a transpiração de uma árvore e sua determinação é importante para diversos ramos da ciência. Este trabalho teve como objetivo desenvolver um modelo matemático empírico prático não-destrutivo para estimar a área foliar total do coqueiro anão verde (Cocos nucifera L.) na região Norte Fluminense. Com o modelo desenvolvido pôde-se estimar o valor da área foliar total (TLA) em função da média dos comprimentos das três ultimas raques foliares (LR3) e do número de folhas na copa da cultura (NL). IDH DIVERTIDO: APLICANDO METODOLOGIAS ATIVAS NO ENSINO DE GEOGRAFIA

A implementação do presente projeto teve como objetivo abordar os conceitos relacionados ao Índice de Desenvolvimento Humano (IDH) com estudantes do 2º ano do Ensino Médio de duas escolas da rede pública estadual em Campo Grande-MS, para observação das potencialidades e fragilidades dos municípios do estado. Para tanto, os alunos realizaram pesquisas em sites como o IBGE e Atlas Brasil a fim de desenvolverem vídeos de curta duração, que posteriormente foram publicados em redes sociais e apresentados de maneira remota. O projeto foi idealizado e desenvolvido de forma estritamente remota, devido à pandemia. Após o evento foi aplicado questionário, pela plataforma Google Formulários, entre os estudantes participantes do projeto, para avaliação de aprendizagem e feedback sobre a experiência de participação. Foram desenvolvidas habilidades observáveis através dos vídeos produzidos como material final. Em geral, todos deram um feedback positivo e gostaram da maneira como o conteúdo foi desenvolvido ao longo do projeto, de maneira dinâmica e com grande participação dos mesmos no processo de construção do conhecimento

Validation of a 3d camera system for cycling analysis

Background: Kinematic analysis aimed toward scientific investigation or professional purposes is commonly unaffordable and complex to use. Objective: The purpose of this study was to verify concurrent validation between a cycling-specific 3D camera and the gold-standard 3D general camera systems. Methods: Overall, 11 healthy amateur male triathletes were filmed riding their bicycles with Vicon 3D cameras and the Retul 3D cameras for bike fitting analysis simultaneously. All 18 kinematic measurements given by the bike fitting system were compared with the same data given by Vicon cameras through Pearson correlation (r), intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC), standard error measurements (SEM), and Bland–Altman (BA) analysis. Confidence intervals of 95% are given. Results: A very high correlation between cameras was found on six of 18 measurements. All other presented a high correlation between cameras (between 0.7 and 0.9). In total, six variables indicate a SEM of less than one degree between systems. Only two variables indicate a SEM higher than two degrees between camera systems. Overall, four measures indicate bias tendency according to BA. Conclusions: The cycling-specific led-emitting 3D camera system tested revealed a high or very high degree of correlation with the gold-standard 3D camera system used in laboratory motion capture. In total, 14 measurements of this equipment could be used in sports medicine clinical practice and even by researchers of cycling studies
