Library collections in CSIC libraries are analyzed, as regards three basic disciplines: chemistry, physics and biology; and two specialized areas, where CSIC develops an important work: food technology and marine science. The aim of this study is twofold: to detect overlapping which could be considered as unjustified, and to detect existing gaps, by comparing CSIC library collection, with ranking of journals. In conclusion, the situation for the two specialized areas can be considered as satisfactory, while for the three basic disciplinee, the situation in chemistry is far better than in physics, with biology in an intermediate place.

Medical and Surgical Treatment for Overactive Bladder
In this chapter, we focus on the medical treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome. The treatment of choice of the OAB syndrome is still the anticholinergic therapy, although we must consider β3‐agonists with almost the same evidence. No drug has been shown to be clearly superior to the rest. The use of oxybutynin transdermal should be considered when the side effects due to the oral administration are intolerable. In elderly patients, first efforts should be directed to use non‐drug therapies, such as behavioural therapy. In patients suffering from cognitive dysfunctions, the use of antimuscarinic with caution is recommended. Mirabegron, a β3‐agonist, can be offered, although it should be noted that the long‐term effects are still unknown. The logical second‐line treatment is the intravesical injection of botulinum toxin A, considering its temporary effectiveness and the possibility of retention. In some centres, sacral nerve stimulation may be an option. Surgical treatment should be reserved when conservative therapies fail
Educational intervention on high blood pressure and its prevention in hypertensive patients over 40 years of age in a medical office
Introduction: high blood pressure is a global health problem; In this sense, the need arises to carry out health actions that contribute to the prevention of the disease from the primary level of care. Objective: to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention on high blood pressure in hypertensive patients over 40 years of age belonging to the family medical office 19 of Morón municipality, Ciego de Ávila. Methods: a pre-experimental study was carried out, with a pretest/posttest design, during May 2022 and March 2023. The population consisted of 341 patients and the sample of 135, selected through intentional non-probabilistic sampling. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used. Results: there was a predominance of the female sex (57,0 %), the mean age for both sexes were 56,4±11,272 years. In the diagnostic stage, 68,9 % of those surveyed presented an inadequate level of information, with predominance of the categories: treatment of HTN (69,6 %), generalities (63,0 %), and complications (56,3 %); after the educational intervention was carried out, the level of information was raised in 92,6 % of the patients. The McNemar test yielded significant results (p=0,000; p<0,05). Conclusions: a statistically significant modification of the information was achieved, so it could be inferred that the strategy was effective
