A suggested program for extended sessions to be incorporated into the general program for Christian education of juniors in the Evangelical Mission Covenant Church

As we look upon education today we notice quite a different emphasis form that of even twenty-five years ago, when the accumulation of much knowledge and many skills was the chief objective. There is a noticeable decrease in emphasis on the accumulation of facts for facts sake, and the curriculum has been enlivened by the utilization of real-life situations. In spite of these various efforts we realize that we are still devoting far too little time to the Christian education of boys and girls. It is, therefore, the purpose of this thesis to present a week-day extended program to supplement the present Sunday School and Vacation Bible School curriculum for juniors in the Mission Covenant Church, and to challenge workers to use modern and improved methods of teaching

Early Cretaceous absolute geomagnetic paleointensities from Córdoba province (Argentina)

We present here new paleointensity and geochronology results from Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks of Sierra Chica de Cordoba (Argentina). The new K-Ar isotopic ages of 5 samples range from 136 to 122 Ma. Twenty five samples from 7 individual flows yielded acceptable paleointensity estimates. The mean paleointensity values per flow are ranging from 53.0±1.9 to 25.4±2.6 μT and the corresponding Virtual Dipole Moments (VDMs) are ranging from 9.3±1.3 to 4.6±0.5 (1022 Am2). This corresponds to the mean value of 7.3±1.7x1022 Am2, which is compatible to the present geomagnetic axial dipole. Currently available selected paleointensity data from 80 to 130 Ma suggest that geomagnetic field strength frequently fluctuated before and during the Cretaceous Normal Superchron while the magnetic polarity maintained stable. The mean paleointensities derived from Cordoba lavas agree remarkably well with those obtained from the Parana Magmatic Province (133-132 Ma). This reinforces the hypothesis about the unreliability of ‘Mesozoic Dipole Low'.Fil: Cejudo Ruiz, Ruben. Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; MéxicoFil: Goguitchaichvili, Avto. This study aims to determine the role of the Regional Development Planning Agency in Regional Development Planning Process in East Halmahera. In this research, using qualitative research methods and techniques of qualitative data analysis. data collection techniques in this study include: (1) Interview, (2) documentation, and (3) Observation. The stages-resistant performed in analyzing the data, are: (1) Data Editing, (2) Data Reduction, and (3) Data Interpretation. Based on the results of research conducted, showing that: (1) In the process of regional planning, Regional Planning Board of East Halmahera certainly plays an important role in accommodating all available resources to formulate local development planning, (2) Role of Regional Development Planning Board East Halmahera can walk though the process is still there are issues that affect the development planning of factors both internal and external factors. Internal factors of the Halmahera Bappeda itself, among others, the ability of human resources is not adequate, facilities and infrastructure, and coordination are not yet optimal. While external factors which other officials unprepared planning data, other officials have not been the focus in the planning, implementation activities are not always on time according to the fiscal year due to some areas difficult to reach (geographic factors), and the involvement of stakeholders in the planning process is low

OPTIMIZATION OF SCREEN PRINTED REFERENCE ELECTRODE BASED ON CHARGE BALANCE AND POLY (BUTYL ACRYLATE) PHOTOCURABLE MEBRANE

This research focus on transforming the traditional design of reference electrode into all-solid-state reference electrode front-end using Ag/AgCl screen- printed electrodes. By replacing the internal reference solution of a traditional reference electrode by a solid photocurable membrane, an all-solid-state reference electrode can be achieved. The solid-state screen-printed reference electrode was designed using a photocurable acrylic film containing immobilized sodium tetrakis [3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl] borate (NaTFPB) and trimethylocthylammonium chloride (TOMA-Cl). An optimum ratio of NaTFPB:TOMA-Cl = 1:1 produced a stable reference electrode. In the anions interference studies, all anions i.e. NO3-, Cl-, Br- and SO42- does not give effect to the SPRE except perchlorate anions. The all-solid-state reference electrodes was applied to the detection of potassium ions and ammonium ions. Validation of the all-screen-printed reference electrode was performed with reference electrode standard gel type. The validation results showed that all-solid-state screen-printed reference electrode demonstrated performance that was comparable to standard reference electrode

Curie Temperatures and Emplacement Conditions of Pyroclastic Deposits From Popocatépetl Volcano, Mexico

Most pyroclastic deposits of Popocatépetl volcano were emplaced at high temperatures and have similar mafic to more evolved compositions, suggesting a long-lived, interconnected magma environment. We performed a magnetic and microscopic study on different eruptive sequences <14 ky in age and found that temperature and field dependence of magnetic susceptibility are suited to separate eruption phases. We observed homogeneous titanomagnetite with Curie temperatures (TC_{C}) of 50–200°C and 200–400°C, together with different amounts of oxy-exsolved titanomagnetite with TC_{C} ∼ 570°C. Some block-and-ash flow deposits show remarkably irreversible TC_{C} in heating and cooling branches with a positive ΔTC_{C} (TC_{C} heating_{heating} –TC_{C} cooling_{cooling}) of up to 130°C in the center. The central part of this sequence is characterized by decreasing magnetic susceptibility and low field dependence of magnetic susceptibility (<10%), which is atypical for ulvöspinel-rich titanomagnetite. The nonreversibility of heating and cooling runs measured with rates of around 10 K/min is probably related to vacancy-enhanced nanoscale chemical clustering, which seems to occur preferentially during rapid quenching, possibly combined with subtle maghemitization. In contrast, pumice layers have the highest field dependence (∼20%) and contain Ti-rich and intermediate titanomagnetite with TC_{C} < 100 and ∼300°C, which are in line with mafic and more evolved magma composition. In intermediate phases, irreversibility of TC_{C} is more common but with a relatively low ΔTC_{C} of ±20°C. We suggest that magneto-mineralogy in pyroclastic density currents is complex but offers a complementary tool to the paleomagnetic directional analysis for emplacement temperature and contribute information on the volcanic material history and their emplacement conditions

ABSTRACTGovernment Accounting Standards are accounting principles applied in preparing and presenting government financial reports, both central and regional. Statement of Financial Statement Presentation aims to regulate the presentation of(general purpose financial statementsgeneral purpose financial statements) in order to increase the comparability of financial statements both against budgets, between periods, and between entities. To achieve these objectives, this standard establishes all considerations in the context of the presentation of financial statements, guidelines for the structure of financial statements, and minimum requirements for the content of financial statements. The analytical method used is a qualitative method where the data collected is then classified and analyzed so that conclusions can be drawn. The results showed that the presentation of financial statements at the Manado City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office for the 2017-2018 fiscal year was in accordance with Government Regulation no. 71 of 2010 concerning Government Accounting Standards. The Manado City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office has presented 4 financial reports, namely the Budget Realization Report, Balance Sheet, Operational Report, and Notes to Financial Statements. Keywords: financial reports, budget realization reports, balance sheets, operational reports, notes to financial statements, accounting standards
