    Neural Network Model of QoE for Estimation Video Streaming over 5G network

    International audienceWith the rapid increasing demand of commercial video streaming, the satisfaction of the end user is becoming more and more important to measure and assure.The quality of experience (QoE) is defined as the measure of the overall level of customer satisfaction with the usage of a service provided by a vendor. Many works have addressed this issue in many different scenarios in cellular networks however most of these works have addressed video streaming over LTE networks (Long Term Evolution network). Up to day, there are few contributions of work that address the QoE over 5G network since there still still some challenges in this later to address. In this paper, we present the specific aspects we consider important in the evolution from 4G to 5G in term of traffic management and a solution to estimate this QoE in this new context. We adopted an approach based on Neural Network (NN) to estimate the QoE parameters. NN have been successfully used in many domains where it was difficult to derive an exact analytical model of the system so is the case of the 5G network

Ce travail vise à valider l'hypothèse de l'existence d'une contrainte paradoxale dans la pratique actuelle du management public : la recherche proclamée de la performance nécessite la mise sur pied d'indicateurs alors même que la logique politique dont l'empreinte est décisive sur la gestion publique s'accommode mal de la précision. Les données analysées trouvent leurs sources dans les projets annuels de performance qui regroupent les objectifs et les indicateurs de mesure de la performance de l'action de l'État pour 2009.Mesure de la performance, management public, rationalité politique, ambigüité, distance objectif-indicateur.

    A Visible Light Communication based positioning system for intuitive advertising in supermarkets

    Free Convective Heat Transfer in a Closed Gap between Concentric Semi-Hemispheres

    Free convective heat transfer in the closed gap between concentric semi-hemispheres is quantified by means of a numerical approach based on the volume control method using the SIMPLE algorithm. The average Nusselt number is determined for several configurations obtained by varying the cavity’s aspect ratio between 0.15 and 1.5, while the Rayleigh number varies within the 5.33 × 103–4.50 × 108 range. The results show that the correlations available in the literature dealing with concentric whole spheres cannot be used for the configuration treated here. The new correlation between the Nusselt and Rayleigh numbers proposed in this work can be applied in various engineering sectors, such as in the electronic packaging considered in this present work, buildings, and architecture

    Influence of Gemetrical and Thermal Parameters on the Thermal Comportment of a Pin-on-Disk System

    Strong temperature gradients are often the cause of malfunctions taking place in mechanical systems which associate two rubbing solids. This work presents the thermal behaviour of a system consisting on a rotating disk in rubbing contact with a pin. Immersed in an environment characterized by a surface conductance h and a temperature Tf , the disk is subjected to localised heat flux generated by the friction with the pin, eccentric with respect to the rotating axis of the disk. Several parameters intervene decisively on the local heat transfer and therefore on the temperature of the contact surface between the two solids in friction. In addition to the conductance, other parameters as the angular velocity of the disk, the frictional heat flux or the pin diameter and its off center with respect to the disk rotation axis, play a major role in the thermal exchange. The present work examines the influence of such parameters on the thermal solution. An analytical expression is proposed for the calculation of the 3D disk´s temperature. The presented thermal cartographies make possible to locate the zones of the system undergoing the greatest temperature gradients and thus the associated spots of mechanical rupture.     Natural convection within water-zno nanofluid-filled hemispherical enclosure with a cubic electronic device

    This work qualifies and quantifies the nanofluidic natural convective phenomena occurring in a hemispherical enclosure used for electronics applications. This cavity consists of a disk thermally insulated on its rear face, an active cube centered on the disk which generates a constant heat flux and an isothermal dome. The disc of the cavity remains horizontal while its dome is oriented either upwards or downwards. The considered nanofluid is a mixture of water with metallic ZnO nanoparticles. In order to examine the influence of these nanoparticles on the natural convective heat transfer, three values of the volume fraction considered: 0% (pure water), 1% and 5%. The dimensionless governing system of the problem under consideration is solved by means of the control volume method in combination with the SIMPLE algorithm. The structured mesh is composed of triangular surfacic elements and tetrahedral in the volumic domain. Temperature and velocity distributions are presented for some configurations and convective heat transfer is examined for all processed ones.     Aerodynamics in the open channel of the Sistan-type wind-mill with vertical axis wind turbine

The considered model reproduces as closely as possible the real assembly of the Sistan-type wind-mill whose top is open. The technical results of this work could be used for the restoration and operation of this assembly whose historical and architectural values are recognized.L'objectif de cet article est d’examiner les détails d'un écoulement dans un canal contenant une turbine à axe vertical.     Long-range effects of histone point mutations on DNA remodeling revealed from computational analyses of SIN-mutant nucleosome structures

    The packaging of DNA into nucleosomes impedes the binding and access of molecules involved in its processing. The SWI/SNF multi-protein assembly, found in yeast, is one of many regulatory factors that stimulate the remodeling of DNA required for its transcription. Amino-acid point mutations in histones H3 or H4 partially bypass the requirement of the SWI/SNF complex in this system. The mechanisms underlying the observed remodeling, however, are difficult to discern from the crystal structures of nucleosomes bearing these so-called SIN (SWI/SNF INdependent) mutations. Here, we report detailed analyses of the conformations and interactions of the histones and DNA in these assemblies. We find that the loss of direct protein–DNA contacts near point-mutation sites, reported previously, is coupled to unexpected additional long-range effects, i.e. loss of intermolecular contacts and accompanying DNA conformational changes at sequentially and spatially distant sites. The SIN mutations seemingly transmit information relevant to DNA binding across the nucleosome. The energetic cost of deforming the DNA to the states found in the SIN-mutant structures helps to distinguish the mutants that show phenotypes in yeast from those that do not. Models incorporating these deformed dimer steps suggest ways that nucleosomal DNA may be remodeled during its biological processing
