This Project is to design and develop an online learning management system for students, which will be an open source learning management tools like blackboard, which will provide an online platform for conducting and taking classes online. Where students can register for the classes and get access to the online lectures provided by the instructor that can be in any file format. This system consists of a registration module where a new student can register and login. The students who got registered will get the access to register for the course. And instructor module has the separate registration and can have access to the student details and list of students registered for the course. The student module has student registration and login, at the registration page student need to provide with all the details like his name, email, phone number and it provide a student to add or drop a course and get access to the course description and details. The students can access the lectures in the portal provided by the instructor, the lecture can be in any type for example it can be a material or video or link to the source etc. The files can be of any format like pdf, doc, ppt, video etc. There will be an assignment submission portal or link where all the students can submit the assignment and can access their grades. The instructor module will have the different registration form and after login to their portal an instructor can have access to all the student details and list of students that has registered for the class and adding and removing a student. Instructor can send a notification email to all the students and can also notify through text messages via mobile phone. Instructor can provide the lecture through uploading and updating the materials and video lectures to the system so that all the students can access to the materials provided by the instructor. And the instructor can provide record on-screen activity to students for assist with software installation and course related support, with the help of screencast tools. Instructor has the portal to post the assignments and check the assignments posted by students and grade them

    Digitized Engineering Notebook

    Get PDF
Digitized Engineering Notebook is a web application that allows students to record their work as they go through the process of their robotics competition. This notebook will portray the same qualities as the current engineering notebook. This digital version of an engineering notebook gives students a platform where they can upload data such as images, texts, videos to a database. Digitized engineering notebook will allow multiple users to log into the system, and work on same project at the same time. This web application will be developed in an open source environment called XAMPP. It will include multiple users. This Notebook can be categorized into queries which can be converted into PDF. The web application will have login credentials for every user and will also allow name-wise search of any user so their progress can be tracked. The functionalities of this Notebook will include a front page with menu, options to create new projects, addition of new members to the project, table of contents, etc., This web application will also contain a calendar so students can mark events. It will have a discussion board where students can interact with each other. The main goal of this web application is to inspire students to learn STEM engineering process. This Digitized Notebook will encourage knowledge sharing. The contents of the Notebook will be easy to query and share. It will allow students to work as a team remotely. This web application will be kids friendly and will allow students from K-12 to use it

Formulation and invitro evaluation of oral extended release microspheres of aceclofenac using various natural polymers

In the present work, bioadhesive microspheres of Aceclofenac using Sodium alginate along with Carbopol 934, Carbopol 971, HPMC K4M as copolymers were formulated to deliver Aceclofenac via oral route. The results of this investigation indicate that ionic cross-linking technique Ionotropic gelation method can be successfully employed to fabricate Aceclofenac microspheres. The technique provides characteristic advantage over conventional microsphere method, which involves an “all-aqueous” system, avoids residual solvents in microspheres. FT-IR spectra of the physical mixture revealed that the drug is compatible with the polymers and copolymers used. Micromeritic studies revealed that the mean particle size of the prepared microspheres was in the size range of 512-903µm and are suitable for bioadhesive microspheres for oral administration. The in-vitro mucoadhesive study demonstrated that microspheres of Aceclofenac using sodium alginate along with Carbopol934 as copolymer adhered to the mucus to a greater extent than the microspheres of Aceclofenac using sodium alginate along with Carbopol 971 and HPMC K4M as copolymers. The invitro drug release decreased with increase in the polymer and copolymer concentration. Analysis of drug release mechanism showed that the drug release from the formulations followed non-Fickian diffusion and the best fit model was found to be Korsmeyer-Peppas. Based on the results of evaluation tests formulation coded T4 was concluded as best formulation

The GSURobotics.org is a Digitized Engineering web based application which will allow the students to upload projects details thru the website. Each team needs to create their account and can be able to create or edit their project details such as texts, images or even the team videos. It’s an annual robotics competition where in each team will be reviewed by a team of pioneers and awards will be facilitated to the team that shows creativity and innovation. The competition is completely online. Goals • Challenge students to apply skills in creative ways. • Encourage participation by the public and private firms. • Integrate technology and creativity skills. It’s a new application which can provide the following: • Competitions are open to all school clubs. • Each team can submit as many projects as they want. • There is no time limit for the projects. • Projects will be ranked for their creativity, structure, and their functions. • As per the project deadline the application will be released on April 17 2017. Methods or Algorithms: GSURobotics.com is a rock-solid web application and easy to navigate, dynamic web application with multiple features. We have planned to implement this project by using ASP.net technology for the front end and to store the data in the backend we will be using SQL server. The front page will guide for the team registration. Once the registration is done then the student can upload their project with the project documents, videos and images

The goal of this project is to design a system for managing multiple data source through networks. The end user is concerned about the computations that depend on information from several data sources. The access will be from a portal. The system should use grid computing standards to fetch information from the different information sources, consolidates them, presented them as required

A matlab based educational software for the study on the effect of cut-out in aircraft wings

    Get PDF
Cut-outs on aircraft wings are unavoidable due to the placement of fuel tanks and retraction of landing gear inside the wing. The stresses acting on an aircraft wing will deviate substantially before and after a cut-out is made and therefore it is crucial to perform stress analysis in an aircraft wing in order to ensure that the wing structure will be able to withstand the applied stress. Stress analysis of such structures is tedious and time consuming due to its statically indeterminate nature. A free stand-alone software based on MATLAB for the computation of stress due to the effect of cut-out in idealized wing torsion box has been developed. The main purpose is to provide the end-user (student or academic) a useful and user-friendly tool to perform preliminary stress assessment of the effect of cut-out analysis for an idealized wing
