Memristor Crossbar-based Hardware Implementation of IDS Method
Ink Drop Spread (IDS) is the engine of Active Learning Method (ALM), which is
the methodology of soft computing. IDS, as a pattern-based processing unit,
extracts useful information from a system subjected to modeling. In spite of
its excellent potential in solving problems such as classification and modeling
compared to other soft computing tools, finding its simple and fast hardware
implementation is still a challenge. This paper describes a new hardware
implementation of IDS method based on the memristor crossbar structure. In
addition of simplicity, being completely real-time, having low latency and the
ability to continue working after the occurrence of power breakdown are some of
the advantages of our proposed circuit.Comment: 16 pages, 13 figures, Submitted to IEEE Transaction on Fuzzy System
Entrepreneurship in the Context of Organizational Culture
The importance of entrepreneurship and citizenship behavior is obvious. To achieve development, organizations should pave the way for development of these two items in their human resources. These two factors in development of economic and social issues are the cheapest tools with the highest efficiency. In order to discuss the importance of organizational culture for the growth of these two concepts, culture plays the role of mother womb for fetus growth (entrepreneurship and citizenship behavior). The present study aimed to evaluate the relationship between organizational culture with entrepreneurship and organizational citizenship behavior in Telecommunication Company of Golestan province. The study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlation in terms of method. The study population is 400; its 200 people sample is extracted by simple random sampling method. In statistical analysis, Cronbach’s alpha, Kolmogrov-Smirnov, Spearman correlation coefficient and Wilcoxon test are used. The results show that there is a direct and significant association between organizational culture and entrepreneurship and organizational citizenship behavior
Motivasi dan Hubungkaitnya dengan Prestasi Kerja : Kajian di Kalangan Pengawal Trafik Udara di Jabatan Penerbangan Awam Subang Selangor
Air Traffic Controller is a challenging profession which demands a full commitment and dedication, that will reflects the image of Department of Civil Aviation, Malaysia. Air Traffic Controllers are responsible for the safety of each and individual movement of flights that pass or transiting into Malaysian’s airspace. It is therefore, considered to be most appropriate to have a study on the performance’s level shown and expected among the controllers in this department and whether the performance is related to any extrinsic or intrinsic motivation and the characteristic of the job itself. Questionnaires were given to the controllers based on the sample size as proposed by Uma Sekaran. The results showed that the controllers have very high job performances and commitment towards their jobs. The intrinsic motivation is the most contributing factor and significantly related to nature and characteristic of the job. They have learn to appreciate lives better and becoming a more responsible person. Even though this profession is of a very high risk, for a controller to be able to get controlling done in a
manner that is safe, efficient and orderly, is considered as a self-satisfaction and personnel recognition that nothing can be compared of, thus indirectly contributing to a edges and high job performances. Support and good relationship among supervisors and colleagues are considered to be the most important extrinsic factor besides promotion recognition from department. Based on the findings, recommendations and suggestions were put forward to the management to ensure that the performance’s level and the motivation related are always at the satisfaction level
Learners' motivation and the language learning strategies (LLS) used by Iraqi EFL preparatory learners in the English context
This study investigates the language learning strategies (LLS) used by Iraqi EFL learners in preparatory schools. The growing interest in learning strategies has increased the need for learning English as a foreign language in terms of two essential variables: strategy use and motivation. Oxford SILL (1990) was used to analyse effective learning strategies employed in learning activities. The results of one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) show that memory learning strategies have the highest mean score (M= 4.06, SD=.394 ). In contrast, affective learning strategies have the lowest mean score (M= 2.48, SD=.837). Furthermore, the results suggest that the MSLQ's motivational subscales are substantially linked with various strategies of SILL. Pearson's Chi-Square value for MSLQ and SILL indicates a significant positive correlation of r (.820) =.003, which is less than the 0.05 level of significance. As a result, the Pearson Correlation Coefficients show that learners' motivation affects their learning strategies for success. The substantial relationship between motivation and LLS in classroom activities was linked to EFL learners' achievement in learning English as a foreign language. The study suggests that EFL learners should use numerous learning strategies to build their learning skills successfully. Besides, a teacher must employ numerous motivational techniques to facilitate English learning process and improve learners' English language skills effectively
Technical and scale efficiency of automobile firms in Pakistan
The current study aimed at exploring the efficiency level of automobile firms in Pakistan. For this purpose, the current study has collected the data of 18 automobile and automobile parts firms from the year 2011 to the year 2015.To analyse the date, the current study has used the data envelopment analysis. Three models were used to calculate the firm efficiency such as constant return to scale, variable return to scale and scale efficiency. The results of the study have revealed that most of the automobile firms are not efficient during these years. In addition, the results were consistent based on the three efficiency models
Life Table of the Green Lacewing Apertochrysa sp. (Neuroptera:Chrysopidae) Reared on Rice Moth Corcyra cephalonica(Lepidoptera: Pyralidae)
The survivorship from egg to adult emergence and fertility of Apertochrysa sp. fed on Corcyra cephalonica were studied in
laboratory and population parameters of Apertochrysa sp. were used for construction of life table under ideal condition in
laboratory free from natural enemies. The highest mortality occurred in eggs (44.3%) followed by mortality (15.4%) in 2nd
instar larva and in pupal stage (11.4%). The sex ratio (proportion of female to male) was 1:1.4. The maximum life span of
female was 38 days. The highest number of eggs produced per female was 6.33 at seventh day of oviposition. The gross
reproductive rate (GRR) was 19.48 females per female per generation. The net reproductive rate (Ro) was 2.28 females per
female per generation. Mean generation time (T) was 40.6 days, while the intrinsic rate of natural increase (r) was 0.02 female
per female per day. The finite rate of increase (λ) was 1.02 females per female per day. The population double time (DT) was
within 14.8 day

Influence of Leadership Styles in Creating Quality Work Culture
AbstractFor many years culture has been claimed as an important element of organizational successful in the business world. Organizations take very different approaches to build quality work culture. For some organizations, quality work culture has never mattered most. But in some organizations, quality work culture is crucial to ensure the employees served a better service to the customers. The purpose of this study is to identify which leadership style creates quality work culture at financial institution. Data collected through survey and direct interviews with several executives in order to gain accurate information. The respondents were chosen among employees from first line managers up to top management. Bass and Avolio's (1995), Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ Form 5X) was used to measure leadership styles and questions on quality work culture adopted from Geri McKeown. In addition, IFE matrix was applied to determine current work culture in the financial institutions. Findings revealed that transactional leadership had greatest influence towards quality work culture. A strong quality work culture may due to number of years the financial institutions existed in the industry. This statement was supported by a strong correlation between quality work culture and leadership styles. The strong significant relationship between leadership style and quality work culture clearly shows that transactional leadership style possessed by majority of leaders influence the level of quality work culture. The paper is hoped to contribute towards improving the quality work culture by identifying the prominent leadership style practiced by financial institutions
