    The Effect of Organizational Justice and Perceived Organizational Support on University Staff JobBurnout (Case ofUniversityStaff ofIsfahan)

    Abstract: One of the problems human resource managers encounter nowadays is the job burnout phenomenon. This can even happen in universities and cause a decline in work efficiency and a failure to reach long-term purposes. This study aims at manifesting the job burnout state and the effect of organizational justice and perceived organizational support onjob burnoutstaff of the University of Isfahan who are working in administrative sections. The data gathering tools consist of three standard questionnaires for perceived organizational justice, organizational support and job burnout assessment which areadministered among a sample of 150 individuals out of 448 staff working in administrative sections of the University of Isfahan. The volume of the sample is also calculated bystratificationusing Cochran formula. By using of structural equation modeling (SEM) method, it can be said that organizational justice and perceived organizational support has a negative effects onjob burnout, but perceived organizational support doesn't significantly affect onjob burnout

    Implementation of Novel Technique for Selective Harmonic Elimination in Multilevel Inverters Based on ICA

    Eliminating the specific harmonics especially low-order harmonics of the output voltage of 9-level inverter using SHE-PWM control scheme is investigated. Harmonic minimization is the intricate optimization problems because the nonlinear transcendental equations have multiple local optima. Increasing the degrees of freedom in the suggested method means that the number of switching angles increases. The suggested method is able to eliminate high number of undesired harmonics. As the number of switching angles increases, using either traditional iterative techniques or resultant theory method gets useless. In this paper to overcome this problem the imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA) is used. Also a DC-DC converter is used to enhance the SHE performance in the range for which the conventional SHE methods do not have any solution. Experimental and simulation results of a 9-level inverter show that the proposed method effectively minimizes a large number of particular harmonics so the total harmonics distortion of output voltage will be lower

    Effect of Cardiac Rehabilitation on Anxiety and Depression in CABG Patients

    Objective: Many patients experience with anxiety and depression after cardiac bypass surgery as a consequence of this type of surgery. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of cardiac rehabilitation on anxiety and depression level of patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery in hospitals affiliated to Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. Materials & Methods: In this interventional study 80 randomly patients, based on convenience sampling, who had the required criteria were selected and divided into two groups marked as experimental and control groups. The data were collected using three questionnaires. Demographic questioner and The Spielberger anxiety scale for measuring the state and trait of anxiety and the Beck depression inventory for measuring the depression. Both groups answered these questionnaires in three stages: on discharge from hospital , immediately and two months after cardiac rehabilitation. After measuring anxiety and depression in both groups on discharge the experimental group participated in 8 session cardiac rehabilitation in four weeks. The control group received only routine program. The data was analyzed using t-test, repeated measurement multi–variate test, chi square, regression analysis and correlation coefficient. Results: The results revealed that after cardiac rehabilitation program there was a significant statistical differences in depression level between groups (P=0.0014) but in anxiety level, there was no statistical significant difference (P=0.079) between groups. Conclusion: Cardiac rehabilitation is effective in reducing depression in patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery. Therefore it is recommended to use cardiac rehabilitation in these patients

    Effect of Self-care Training based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy on Perceived Stigma and Burden of Care in Caregivers of Patients with Schizophrenia: A Randomized Controlled Trial

    Background and purpose: Stigma and burden of care in caregivers of patients with schizophrenia have negative effects on the patient and their families. This research aimed to determine the effect of self-care training based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on perceived stigma and caregiver burden of schizophrenic patients. Materials and methods: This randomized clinical trial included 80 caregivers of schizophrenia patients in Sari Zare Hospital. Participants in intervention group received self-care training based on ACT in 8 sessions twice a week, while the control group received only routine care. The scores for stigma and care burden were measured in both groups before and after the intervention using Shamsaei stigma questionnaire and Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI, 22-item). T-test and paired t-test and descriptive statistical methods were used to analyze the data. Results: The mean changes of the total score for perceived stigma before and after the intervention were found to be significantly different between the intervention group (65.45±6.79) and the control group (80.25±10.34)(P<0.05). Also, intergroup comparison showed a significant difference in mean changes of the total scores for burden of care before and after the intervention between the intervention group (44.35 ± 6.37) and the control group (55.05 ±10.29) (P <0.05). Conclusion: According to current study, self-care training based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy will improve perceived stigma and reduce burden of care in caregivers of patients with schizophrenia and such non-invasive interventions are recommended.     Reliability and validity of an iPhone® application for the measurement of lumbar spine flexion and extension range of motion

    Background Measurement of lumbar spine range of motion (ROM) is often considered to be an essential component of lumbar spine physiotherapy and orthopedic assessment. The measurement can be carried out through various instruments such as inclinometers, goniometers, and etc. Recent smartphones have been equipped with accelerometers and magnetometers, which, through specific software applications (apps) can be used for inclinometric functions. Purpose The main purpose was to investigate the reliability and validity of an iPhone® app (TiltMeter© -advanced level and inclinometer) for measuring standing lumbar spine flexion–extension ROM in asymptomatic subjects. Design A cross-sectional study was carried out. Setting This study was conducted in a physiotherapy clinic located at School of Rehabilitation Sciences, Iran University of Medical Science and Health Services, Tehran, Iran. Subjects A convenience sample of 30 asymptomatic adults (15 males; 15 females; age range = 18–55 years) was recruited between August 2015 and December 2015. Methods Following a 2–minute warm-up, the subjects were asked to stand in a relaxed position and their skin was marked at the T12–L1 and S1–S2 spinal levels. From this position, they were asked to perform maximum lumbar flexion followed by maximum lumbar extension with their knees straight. Two blinded raters each used an inclinometer and the iPhone ® app to measure lumbar spine flexion–extension ROM. A third rater read the measured angles. To calculate total lumbar spine flexion–extension ROM, the measurement from S1–S2 was subtracted from T12–L1. The second (2 hours later) and third (48 hours later) sessions were carried out in the same manner as the first session. All of the measurements were conducted 3 times and the mean value of 3 repetitions for each measurement was used for analysis. Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) models (3, k) and (2, k) were used to determine the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability, respectively. The Pearson correlation coefficients were used to establish concurrent validity of the iPhone® app. Furthermore, minimum detectable change at the 95% confidence level (MDC95) was computed as 1.96 × standard error of measurement × 2\sqrt{2} 2 . Results Good to excellent intra-rater and inter-rater reliability were demonstrated for both the gravity-based inclinometer with ICC values of ≥0.84 and ≥0.77 and the iPhone® app with ICC values of ≥0.85 and ≥0.85, respectively. The MDC95 ranged from 5.82°to 8.18°for the intra-rater analysis and from 7.38°to 8.66° for the inter-rater analysis. The concurrent validity for flexion and extension between the 2 instruments was 0.85 and 0.91, respectively. Conclusions The iPhone®app possesses good to excellent intra-rater and inter-rater reliability and concurrent validity. It seems that the iPhone® app can be used for the measurement of lumbar spine flexion–extension ROM. Level of evidence IIb
