ECG Monitoring in Athletes

Athletes and medical personnel need reliable methods to monitor vital signs and detect potentially life-threatening issues before they occur. Electrocardiograph (ECG) monitors are currently the best method of detecting heart-related health issues. Current ECG monitors worn by athletes are difficult to use and lack the ability to track ECGs in real time. Through research and interviews with various clinicians, further problems have been identified that include poor electrode adhesion, and a lack of compatibility with the equipment worn by athletes. Our team proposes to develop solutions that will improve performance and comfort associated with ECG monitors for athletic applications. This includes possibly developing a system that is built into athletic protective gear. At the culmination of the project, the expected deliverable will consist of a demonstration of an ECG monitoring system worn by an athlete that can generate usable heart-related health information

Importancia y contribución de la contabilidad ambiental en la fábrica pesquera Ecomphisa como herramienta de responsabilidad social Santa Rosa - 2011

El presente trabajo de investigación surge ante la necesidad de determinar la Importancia y Contribución de la Contabilidad Ambiental en la fábrica pesquera ECOMPHISA como herramienta de responsabilidad social, con la finalidad de determinar si la empresa está cumpliendo con las normas y estándares que manda el estado y el organismo internacional en cuanto a políticas medioambientales se refiere. Después de haber realizado un repaso y análisis de la realidad problemática nuestro problema queda formulado de la siguiente manera ¿Cuáles la importancia y contribución de la contabilidad ambiental en la fábrica pesquera ECOMPHISA como herramienta de responsabilidad social? Lo que ha llevado a obtener la siguiente hipótesis: La Contabilidad Ambiental es muy importante ya que contribuirá de manera muy significativa como herramienta de Responsabilidad Social en la Fábrica pesquera ECOMPHISA de Santa Rosa En el desarrollo del presente trabajo se han aplicado los métodos de investigación deductivo y analítico para una población conformada de 65 personas y como ésta no es relevante, la muestra es la misma, y para la operacionalización de las variables, he utilizado herramientas como la guía de entrevista, guía de observación y cuestionarios, las mismas que fueron tabuladas e interpretadas a través de los programas SPSS y Excel, realizando un análisis de los resultados los que nos permitieron concluir que: La Contabilidad Ambiental es muy importante ya que contribuirá de manera muy significativa como herramienta de Responsabilidad Social en la Fábrica pesquera ECOMPHISA de Santa Rosa.Tesi

NOE Galerie - redesign of Kunstmeile Krems

Abweichender Titel nach Übersetzung der Verfasserin/des VerfassersZusammenfassung in englischer SpracheIn der vorliegenden Arbeit "NOE Galerie - Umgestaltung der Kunstmeile Krems" befasse ich mich mit der Erweiterung der Kunstmeile. Zu Beginn wird dabei auf die historische Entwicklung des Museums im Allgemeinen, sowie auf die örtlichen Besonderheiten des Bauplatzes eingegangen. Im Sommer 2014 wurde ein Wettbewerb zur Errichtung einer NOE-Galerie in Stein / Krems an der Donau ausgeschrieben. Gefordert wurde ein Neubau mit ca. 3000m2 Ausstellungsfläche als Erweiterung zur bestehenden Kunstmeile. Die Kunstmeile befindet sich in einem sehr spannungsreichen Umfeld, einerseits inmitten des Weltkulturerbes Wachau mit dem historischen Stadtteil Stein, andererseits umringt von der Justizanstalt Stein und im Süden von zwei relativ stark befahrenen Straßen. Im Zuge der Recherchen zum Standort stellte sich die Frage, ob eine Einbeziehung des Areals der Justizanstalt auf lange Sicht nicht sinnvoller wäre, da seit Jahren über eine Absiedlung der Anstalt diskutiert wird. Seit Anfang des Jahres 2015 zeigt nun auch der Campus Krems reges Interesse an dem Areal. Daher stellt dieser Entwurf eine Variante abseits des vorgegebenen Bauplatzes des Wettbewerbes dar und beansprucht die an der Steiner Landstraße liegenden Gebäude der Justizanstalt für sich. Somit wird die Kremser Kunstmeile wörtlich zur Meile, das restliche Areal samt dem sternförmigen Zellentrakt 1 könnte für den Campus Krems zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Krems-Stein wäre somit ein neues Zentrum für Kultur und Wissenschaft. Der Entwurf sieht ein neues Kopfgebäude mit zentraler Verwaltung, Shop, Ticketing und Gastronomie vor, von dem aus die Kunstmeile künftig verwaltet wird. Die einzelnen Museen werden reine Ausstellungshallen, die miteinander zu einem Museumskomplex verbunden sind.The present thesis "NOE Galerie - Umgestaltung der Kunstmeile Krems" deals with the extension of the Kunstmeile. The historical development of the museum in general as well as the specific local conditions of the building site form the introduction. A competition for the construction of the NOE-Galerie in Stein (Krems an der Donau) was tendered in summer 2014. In this tender, a new building with around 3000m2 exhibition space as extension of the existing Kunstmeile was demanded. The Kunstmeile is located in a very exciting environment: amidst the world heritage with the historical destrict Stein on the one hand, the prison Stein and two heavily used streets in the south on the other hand. During the research concerning the location the question raised, if the inclusion of the prison area would make more sense in the long term. A relocation of the prison is discussed since years. Also the university of Krems shows a real interest since the beginning of the year 2015. Due to this conditions, this draft represents an alternative beyond the given building site and includes the buildings of the prison at the Steiner Landstraße. Through this the Kremser Kunstmeile becomes a real -mile-. The remaining area together with the star-shaped cell tract number one could be offered to the university of Krems. Krems-Stein would be a new centre for culture and science. The draft provides a new main building with central administration, gift-shop, ticketing and catering for the whole Kunstmeile. The single museums become simple exhibition halls, interconnected by a museum circular space.8
