The description of implementation problems applies to any dispute related to implementation and focuses on it, regardless of the person who presented the problem. Implementation problems may be temporary or objective depending on the nature of the request, as well as that each dispute in implementation has two aspects, a temporary face and an objective aspect. If the debtor fulfills the debt after the issuance of the ruling, he may raise a temporary problem in which he requests a temporary stay of execution without deciding on the claim to repay the debt, and the judgment may invalidate the execution in order to fulfill the debt and absolve him of his liabilities. The time until the issue of the dispute is decided upon, such as a ruling to continue the execution until the verdict is correct or the ruling to suspend the execution until it is ruled invalid. That is if it is submitted to the judge of urgency to adjudicate it with a temporary ruling without prejudice to the origin of the right, before completing the implementation process.

(630142101) / SudocSudocFranceF

Uncommon Harms of Neighborhood in Jordanian Civil Law: Comparative Study

    No full text
The study dealt with the issue of the unfamiliar harms of the neighborhood through a comparative study. The study's methodology is represented in three basic approaches: the descriptive approach, Analytical Approach, and Comparative Approach to comparison between the texts of the Jordanian Civil Law and the texts of the Algerian Civil Law. The most important results of study are that the best criterion that should be relied upon in determining civil liability for the harms of neighbors is the objective, not subjective, criterion, which is an application of the theory of abuse of right. In light of these results, we conclude the needed to introduce some changes to the texts of Articles (1027) and (24) bis to keep pace with developments and changes that affect the neighborhood relationship

Optimal design of corroded reinforced concrete structures by using time-variant reliability analysis

    No full text
International audienceThe design optimization of RC structures should take into account the uncertainties related to all, material properties, geometry, loading and deterioration. The Time-Variant Reliability-Based Design Optimization (TV-RBDO) consists in finding the optimal design by satisfying appropriate safety level during the whole structure lifetime. This work proposes an efficient method for TV-RBDO, where the classical formulation is transformed into a sequence of equivalent deterministic design optimization sub-problems. This trans-formation is defined by the mean of optimally calibrated safety factors, linking the reliability requirement to the equivalent deterministic optimization. The proposed method is developed to account for deterioration (corrosion) and is applied to optimize a corroded RC bridge girder. The results show the effectiveness and the efficiency of the method

Diabetes Insipidus due to Metastases of Undiagnosed Lung Cancer: A Case Report from Syria

    No full text
Pituitary metastases (PM) are extremely uncommon, accounting for less than 1% of all intracranial metastases. PM of an undiagnosed malignancy can commonly present with symptoms of hormonal deficiencies, central diabetes insipidus, and/or visual symptoms. Lung and breast malignancies are the most common cancers associated with PM. Despite advances in diagnostic and therapeutic options, the prognosis remains poor and is influenced by primary malignancy and treatment methods. We report a case of a patient with PM from lung cancer who had polyuria, polydipsia, and nonspecific symptoms. A full evaluation confirmed central diabetes insipidus, hypogonadism, and metastatic lung cancer. We also discuss the current literature on PM diagnosis and management, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive evaluation of all available data. This is the first case of PM reported from Syria, to our knowledge

Optimal design of deteriorating timber components under climate variations

The mechanical and physical properties of timber structures could be affected by a combination of loading, moisture content, temperature, biological activity, etc. This paper focuses on the optimal design of new timber structures subjected to fungal decay. Among the optimization methods available in the literature, this study considers a Time-Dependent Reliability Based-Design Optimization approach. This method aims at ensuring a target reliability level during the operational life by considering deterioration and the uncertainties related inherent to materials properties, models and climate. This approach is applied to design optimization of a timber truss subjected to an aggressive (very humid) French climate. The performance of the optimized solution is compared, in terms of safety, with solutions estimated from Deterministic Design Optimization and the classical Reliability-Based Design Optimization approaches. The overall results indicate that the optimized solution obtained by the Time-Dependent Reliability Based-Design Optimization approach ensures the target reliability level during the whole structural lifetime.Non UBCUnreviewedThis collection contains the proceedings of ICASP12, the 12th International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering held in Vancouver, Canada on July 12-15, 2015. Abstract Background Workloads in intensive care units (ICUs) have increased and extremely challenging ethical dilemmas were generated by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. ICU nurses experience high-stress levels and burnout worldwide. Egyptian studies on the effectiveness of mindfulness-based intervention (MBI) among ICU nurses are limited, although MBI has been shown to reduce stress and burnout. Methods This quasi-experimental study included 60 nurses working in three hospitals in El-Beheira, Egypt. Participants were randomly allocated to one of the two groups: intervention or control (30 participants per group). The participants in the intervention group (MBI) received 8 MBI sessions, whereas the control group received no intervention. The Maslach Burnout Inventory, the Five-Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), and the Self-Compassion Scale were used to assess the outcomes. Additionally, demographic and workplace data were collected. Results The post-test score of emotional exhaustion after MBI for 8 weeks significantly decreased in the MBI group to 15.47 ± 4.44 compared with the control group with 32.43 ± 8.87 (p < 0.001). The total Self-Compassion Scale significantly increased because of the mindfulness sessions 94.50 ± 3.83 for the MBI group vs. 79.00 ± 4.57 for the control group (p < 0.001). The post-test score of the FFMQ significantly increased to 137.03 ± 5.93, while the control group’s score decreased to 114.40 ± 7.44, following the MBI sessions (p < 0.001). As determined by Cohen’s d test, the effect size of MBI training is quite large, on the three burnout scale dimensions (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal achievement), as well as the total score of the mindfulness and self-compassion scales. Conclusion This study provides preliminary evidence that MBI sessions were effective in reducing emotional exhaustion and depersonalization and increasing levels of mindfulness and self-compassion among critical care nurses
