    Impedance pump is a simple valveless pumping mechanism, where an elastic tube is joined to a more rigid one; a periodic asymmetrical pinching on the elastic tube will produce a unidirectional flow. This pumping concept offers a low energy, low noise alternative at both micro and macro scales. This paper describes an experimental investigation of the performance of a two-stage, open loop impedance pump. The results show that, when compared to a single stage open loop impedance pump, the two-stage impedance pump can achieve a significant pressure head and flow rate increment. A pressure head increment of 240 Pa is obtained in the single stage system compared to 480 Pa for the two-stage system. The corresponding flow rates were 5 mL/s and 8 mL/s respectively. This is an indication that impedance pumping system can be scaled up to achieve a variety of pumping assignments

    Streptomyces spp. is one of Actinomycete that produce variety of secondary metabolite (antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer product). Bacteria that used in this study was isolated from oily soil in Baghdad /Iraq. The morphological characters was gram positive, branching, spore former. The goal of this research was to find genetic polymorphisms of one bacterial isolate (assigned S1) and to assess the accurate phylogenetic distribution of this isolated based on ribosomal sequences. In this work one genomic region was amplified that covered a portion of the 16S rRNA sequences. According to the identified results, the currently investigated sample was positioned within the major phylogenetic clade of the Streptomyces albidoflavus sequences in the generated comprehensive tree. In conclusion, the present tree provided an inclusive tool for the confirmed identity of the sample under investigation As a result, the PCR-sequencing approach was used in the studied sample has presented a confirmed identity of this sample and showed the pattern of its phylogenetic distribution. This sort of observed diversity may suggest the possibility to utilize the current 16S rRNA sequences in the accurate detection and discrimination for the Streptomyces albidoflavus sequences.

    A study on a sulfur spring (Ain Al Kibrit) ecosystem along Tigris River Mosul, Iraq

    Ain Al Kibrit sulfur spring along Tigris River in contrast with two other stations, before and after the input to the Tigris River were studied. Some chemical, physical parameters (water temperature, pH, EC, alkalinity, total hardness, and sulfate) and total number of phytoplankton were studied during 2003-2004. Samples were taken from the spring, inlet, and outlet along the Tigris River. The results show 5-20 fold differences between stations in almost all parameters, whereas, thermostatic conditions were confirmed in Ain Al Kibrit (24±1). In contrast, the total number of phytoplankton when observed to be fifty folds less in Ain Al Kibrit. This study may be regarded as a first attempt to deal with such factors in this area

The processing of data plays a major role in the healthcare industry's disease detection. A variety of disease evaluations should be required to diagnose the patient. However, using data mining strategies, the number of examinations should be decreased. This decreased examination plays a crucial role in terms of time and results. Heart disease is a death-provoking disorder. In this recent instance, health issues are immense because of the availability of health issues and the grouping of various situations. Today, secret information is important in the healthcare industry to make decisions. For the prediction of cardiovascular problems, (Weka 3.8.3) tools for this analysis are used for the prediction of data extraction algorithms like sequential minimal optimization (SMO), multilayer perceptron (MLP), random forest and Bayes net. The data collected combine the prediction accuracy results, the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, and the PRC value. The performance of Bayes net (94.5%) and random forest (94%) technologies indicates optimum performance rather than the sequential minimal optimization (SMO) and multilayer perceptron (MLP) methods

    Experimental Study to Investigate the Effect of Polyacrylamide Gel to Reduce the Lost Circulation

Several types of lost circulation materials have been developed and are being used to limit mud losses and avoid associated issues. Each solution has benefits and drawbacks. In this study, a core flooding test was performed to study the effectiveness of polyacrylamide (PAM) granular gel on the reduction of the circulation lost. One common type of fracture characteristic is fractures with tips, commonly known as partially open fracture (POF). However, PAM gel therapy in POFs received little attention in prior research. Models of partly open fractures were built using a cylindrical core. A series of processes are performed on a core to get a POF model. Overall, the PAM gel can decrease plug permeability, making it a useful material for lost circulation. The results indicate that the Polyacrylamide granular gel can decrease the permeability up to 193 times

The contact charge density ({\rho}), the contact hyperfine field (Bhf) and the electronic field gradient (EFG) at the Fe sites for different H locations and H fillings are calculated using the first principle full-potential linear-augmented-plane-wave (FP-LAPW) method . In this paper, an investigation and evaluation to enhanced double weight (EDW) code is performed, a new technique for code structuring and building using modified arithmetical model has been given for the code in place of employing previous technique based on Trial Inspections. Innovative design has been employed for the code into P2P networks using diverse weighted EDW code to be fitting into optical CDMA relevance applications. A new developed relation for EDW code is presented, the relation is based on studying and experimenting the effect of input transmission power with code weight, and the relation developed using numerical analysis method. This relation makes the estimation for the system input power needed more efficient. The results of the code has been explained by eye diagram and parametric illustrations from the simulated results. The result shows a magnificent performance of the code during high number of users and weight. On the other hand, the relation developed for power measurement helps to prevent power loss and consumption
