    This study aims at investigating the impact of customer relationship management on tourist satisfaction in Movenpick Resort and Residences in Aqaba, Jordan. In this research, the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for data entry as well as for examining the data. Data preparation was the initial step. It aimed to convert raw data into a more structured format that is more appropriate for analysis. The results show that there is a significant relationship between Marketing activities and tourist satisfaction about the service provided in Movenpick Resort and Residences in Aqaba, Jordan

    EVALUATION OF ANTIBIOTIC’S USE AMONG CHILDREN DURING HOSPITALIZATION

    Objectives:To evaluate the use of antibiotics in children during hospitalization and to estimate the inappropriate use of antibiotic. Methods: A review of all antibiotics prescribed for children were admitted to medical ward in Queen Rania hospital over two months. All surgical and trauma cases were excluded. The study was conducted in March and April 2013. Data involved indication, patient’s age, weight, and drug’s route of administration. The collected data were tabulated and kept in special registry file maintained by the author. Results: There were 189 cases admitted to medical wad over two months. Cases were classified into five major groups: respiratory tract infection (28%), urinary tract infection (24.9%), gastroenteritis (21.2%), acute febrile illness (10.6%), neonatal disease (7.9%), and seizures (7.4%). A total of 285 antibiotics were prescribed for all cases and 38.6% of them were prescribed one or more antibiotics, 42.8% of antibiotics were prescribed by incorrectly doses according to indication, patient’s age, weight, and drug’s route of administration. Conclusion: Greater attention and caution are highly needed and recommended when antibiotics prescribed for children especially according to indication and dose calculation. There is a definite antibiotics abuse and antibiotics policy and guidelines is recommended

    Integrated Assessment of Heavy Metal Contamination in Sediments from a Coastal Industrial Basin, NE China

    The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of metal pollution of the sediments from urban-stream, estuary and Jinzhou Bay of the coastal industrial city, NE China. Forty surface sediment samples from river, estuary and bay and one sediment core from Jinzhou bay were collected and analyzed for heavy metal concentrations of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, Ni and Mn. The data reveals that there was a remarkable change in the contents of heavy metals among the sampling sediments, and all the mean values of heavy metal concentration were higher than the national guideline values of marine sediment quality of China (GB 18668-2002). This is one of the most polluted of the world’s impacted coastal systems. Both the correlation analyses and geostatistical analyses showed that Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd have a very similar spatial pattern and come from the industrial activities, and the concentration of Mn mainly caused by natural factors. The estuary is the most polluted area with extremely high potential ecological risk; however the contamination decreased with distance seaward of the river estuary. This study clearly highlights the urgent need to make great efforts to control the industrial emission and the exceptionally severe heavy metal pollution in the coastal area, and the immediate measures should be carried out to minimize the rate of contamination, and extent of future pollution problems

    Imbalanced nitrogen and phosphorus deposition in the urban and forest environments in southeast Tibet

    In recent decades, high levels of anthropogenic emissions in China have dramatically increased nitrogen (N) deposition and may lead to an imbalance of atmospheric N and phosphorus (P) inputs in terrestrial ecosystems. However, currently the status of N and P deposition in southeast Tibet is poorly understood. Here, we investigated spatial and monthly patterns of N and P bulk deposition based on measurements of dissolved inorganic N (DIN, including ammonium N and nitrate N) and dissolved organic N (DON) and total dissolved P (TDP) in precipitation from March to October 2017. Measurements were made at an urban site in Nyingchi city (NC) and at a forest site in Sejila Mountain (SJL). Over the study period, monthly total dissolved N (the sum of DIN and DON) deposition fluxes totalled 4.6 and 3.6 kg N ha−1 at SJL and NC, respectively, of which dissolved organic nitrogen accounted for 35 and 38%. Monthly averages showed an increasing trend from March to June, and then a decrease during last two months (September and October). At both two sites, the ratios of ammonium to nitrate N in bulk deposition are greater than 1, indicating that reduced N mainly from agricultural sources dominated N deposition in study area. Monthly TDP deposition fluxes totalled 0.68 and 0.58 kg P ha−1 at SJL and NC, respectively, both of which showed an increasing trend from March to May and a decreasing trend from July to October. The N/P ratio was 6.1 and 6.8 at NC and SJL, respectively
