    Student needs a help service study that gets to help increase their studying achievement. The research was aimed to: (1) valid student work sheet with reading basis of quadrangle by using CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) method; (2) measure the effectiveness of the learning material which used student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using circ method; (3) describing practicality by used student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using CIRC. This type of research used model of 4-D which consisted of the phase of preliminary investigation, the phase of define, design, develop, and disseminate. But, in this reaserch just until phase of develop. It has also been developed student worksheet. The subjects of the research were the seventh graders, with Clutser Sampling, gotten two classes which is the experiment class and control class. The research data were collected from (1) validation sheet; (2) Observation sheet; (3) questionnaire, and (4) the test. The results showed (1) student work sheet developed have been declared valid by the validator with an average score of 3,4 from supreme scores 4, (2) teacher ability observation result gotten 3,6 of supreme scores 4 and student response are gotten 87% one mean developed tool practical; (3) result from experiment showed the average achievement of those trial class which performed better than those of control class. Base explanation upon, concluded that the development of student work sheet with reading basis for teaching quadrangle in seven graders by using CIRC accomplishes valid tools, practical purpose and effective learning.     Deskripsi kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kelas VIII ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif-impulsif

    Kemampuan representasi matematis dibutuhkan siswa guna memperoleh gagasan matematis dari sesuatu yang abstrak ke konkret. Kemampuan representasi matematis memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan gaya kognitif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kelas VIII yang ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif-impulsif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII G SMP N 1 Buayan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Siswa dikelompokkan ke dalam empat gaya kognitif yaitu reflektif, impulsif, cepat akurat, dan lambat tidak akurat, kemudian dipilih 3 siswa dengan gaya kognitif reflektif dan 3 siswa dengan gaya kognitif impulsif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, tes tertulis, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Siswa bergaya kognitif reflektif sudah mampu menguasai indikator kemampuan representasi visual dan simbolik dengan baik, juga telah mampu menggunakan teks tertulis atau kata-kata untuk menjawab soal, namun belum mampu menuliskan urutan langkah-langkah menemukan solusi dari permasalahan dengan kata-kata dengan baik; (2) Siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif sudah mampu menguasai indikator kemampuan representasi visual dan verbal dengan baik, juga telah mampu memanfaatkan simbol, namun belum mampu menyusun suatu model matematis dalam proses penyelesaian masalah dengan baik.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Representasi Matematis; Gaya Kognitif Reflektif-Impulsi

    Pemecahan masalah sebagai pendekatan dalam pembelajaran, digunakan untuk menemukan dan memahami materi atau konsep matematika. Sedangkan sebagai tujuan dalam pembelajaran, merupakan kemampuan yang harus dicapai mahasiswa. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa melalui metode Snow Ball Throwing semester VII Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika. Rata-Rata skor awal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yaitu 1,96, Rata-rata skor tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siklus pertama yaitu 2,1. Skor tersebut masuk pada kategori cukup baik. Rata-rata skor tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siklus kedua yaitu 2,73. Skor tersebut masuk pada kategori cukup baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa melalui Metode Snowball Throwing pada mata kuliah teori graf meningkat

    The Effect of Blended Learning Type of Flipped Classroom on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in Solid Figures Topic

    This study aimed to find out the ability to solve math problems in solid figures topic before flipped classroom type blended learning was applied to grade IX students of SMPN 2 Sokaraja in the 2019/2020 school year and to know the influence of flipped classroom type blended learning on the problem-solving skills of solid figures topic in Grade IX of SMPN 2 Sokaraja in the 2019/2020 school year. By looking at the objectives, statistical testing was conducted to test the effectiveness formulated in the research hypothesis. To test the significance of mean differences over two different groups due to the use of multiple treatments on an independent variable can be done with a parametric statistical test using the -t-test. Before conducting parametric statistical tests, the data we obtained must fulfill the requirements of conducting tests with parametric tests including, normal and homogeneous distribution. If the data meets the requirements of a hypothesis test with a parametric test, but if it does not meet the requirements then the hypothesis test is conducted with a non-parametric test. The previous analysis resulted that the problem-solving skills of students taught with a blended learning model flipped classroom type are better than conventional learning models. Descriptively, when viewed from the average score of overall math problem-solving skills for students taught with a blended learning model flipped classroom type was 44.22, while those taught with conventional models was 38.17. From the average of each level of math problem-solving ability, the one taught with a blended learning model flipped classroom type was 4.42 and the one taught with conventional learning model was 3.82.     Statistical Literacy Process of Prospective Mathematics Teachers: A Case Study of Pisa Model Problems

    This study explained the use of the statistical literacy process for prospective mathematics teachers in solving PISA model problems. The applied approach was a qualitative descriptive approach The researchers grouped the subjects into low, moderate, and high ability categories based on the previous academic test results. Then, the researchers collected the data from statistical literacy skill tests and interviews. The researchers analyzed the data by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions. In this research, the statistical literacy processes consisted of data orientation, data process, data interpretation, and data evaluation. The results showed that moderate and high categories students could focus on math problems. The evidence was the students understood the given information. The middle and high-category students had excellent statistical literacy processes. However, the high-category students could explain the statistical literacy process systematically and carefully. The high-category students could demonstrate their writing, implementing, and interpreting strategies of the obtained answers
