Karakteristik Guru dalam Tradisi Pendidikan Nahdlatul Wathan, Lombok
This article discusses the characteristics of teacher who teaches Islamic sciences in the perspective of the Nahdlatul Wathan educational tradition, comprehensively. On the other hand, this article is one form of response to the moral degradation of teachers that have recently been rife, especially in Indonesia. This article is the result of qualitative research with a literature approach. Primary data are the books of Tuan Guru Kiai Haji Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid (Sheikh), which include Wasiat Renungan Masa (Book), Batu Ngompal (Book), the struggle song of Nahdlatul Wathan, and the recording of Sheikh's speech during his lifetime. Secondary data consists of scientific journals and relevant research results, as well as Islamic education books, Sufism, tafsīr and hadīth. Data was collected offline and online, then analyzed by using the NVivo 12 Plus software. This study shows that nine characteristics must be possessed by religious teachers who teach in the Nahdlatul Wathan madrasas/pesantrean (Islamic boarding school), namely: murshīd, sincere, obedient, mandate, behave as the teacher's morals, have a clear pedigree (silsilah/sanad), wise and polite in speaking, competent, and straight (istiqamah). This study concludes that the characteristics of the teacher mentioned in the will of the Sheikh are based on the results of contemplation (tafakkur), empirical experience (tajrībah), and extensive knowledge
Encouraging lifelong learning through student-centred learning approaches in a Malaysian teacher education programme
Student-centred learning approaches employ activities that are intended to assist students to construct their own understandings and develop skills relevant to problem solving. These approaches are intended to promote development of learning skills, knowledge, attitudes and
competencies for lifelong learning. In the student-centred environments, teachers relinquish being the main actor in the classroom for a facilitator‟s role. Students become active agents in the classroom where they learn how to assimilate and accommodate new information and to build new
knowledge based on existing knowledge. This paper examines student-centred learning models as an alternative to traditional teacher-centred learning models. The report will present preliminary results of a case study that investigated the use of student-centred approaches at a Malaysian university teacher education programme. The qualitative approach examined teaching and learning
from both the lecturers‟ and students‟ points of view. The results supported the notion of studentcentred learning in educating students toward the direction of lifelong learning development. The infusion of student-centred learning into courses in the teacher education programme provides students with opportunities to gain skills and knowledge needed to become teachers who contribute
to a more lifelong learning in their classrooms. There is evidence from the study that studentcentred learning can nurture the students towards greater intrinsic motivated, self-expression and independence in their learning patterns and hence develop their lifelong learning process

Effectiveness of Ru/Mg/Ce supported on alumina catalyst for direct conversion of syngas to methane: Tailoring activity and physicochemical studies
The century of urbanisation and industrialisation had a great impact on the environment due to the rapid growth of the flue gas sectors. Thus, green technology is enforced to convert carbon dioxide (CO2) gas into methane (CH4) gas as an alternative fuel in electricity generation, particularly coal and natural gas sources. Cerium (Ce) was recognised as one of the most basic and unique redox characteristics utilised in the promising methanation reaction among catalysts used. The trimetallic catalyst used in this work was prepared with Ce as the based catalyst and ruthenium/magnesium (Ru/Mg) as the impregnated metal. Response surface methodology projected the CO2 conversion to be less than 0.3% of the experimental value of 78.82% using the indicated parameters of 593 °C calcination temperature and 61 wt.% ratios. Ru/Mg/Ce/Al2O3 catalyst with 60 wt.% of Ce loading calcined at 600 °C produced 58.08% of CH4. The characterisation results revealed that CeO2, Mg(Al2O4), and RuO2 species were the active species for CO2 methanation selectivity, as observed in XRD and XPS analyses. The mesoporous structure and particle agglomeration resulted in a surface area of 147 m2/g
Optimization and physicochemical studies of alumina supported samarium oxide based catalysts using artificial neural network in methanation reaction
Developed countries are increasing their demand for natural gas as it is an industrial requirement for fuel transportation. Most of modern society relies heavily on vehicles. However, the presence of CO2 gas has led to the categorization of sour natural gas which reduces the quality and price of natural gas. Therefore, the catalytic methanation technique was applied to convert carbon dioxide (CO2) to methane (CH4) gas and reduce the emissions of CO2 within the environment. In this study, samarium oxide supported on alumina doped with ruthenium and manganese was synthesized via wet impregnation. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed samarium oxide, Sm2O3 and manganese oxide, MnO2 as an active species. The reduction temperature for active species was at a low reaction temperature, 268.2oC with medium basicity site as in Temperature Programme Reduction (TPR) and Temperature Programme Desorption (TPD) analyses. Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) analysis showed an agglomeration of particle size. The characterised potential catalyst of Ru/Mn/Sm (5:35:60)/Al2O3 (RMS 5:35:60) calcined at 1,000oC revealed 100% conversion of CO2 with 68.87% CH4 formation at the reaction temperature of 400oC. These results were verified by artificial neural network (ANN) with validation R2 of 0.99 indicating all modelling data are acceptable
MODERASI BERAGAMA SEBAGAI SOLUSI DALAM MEMBENDUNG BAHAYA ISLAMOPHOBIA UNTUK MENJAGA KEHARMONISAN NEGARA KESATUAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA
Religious moderation is an effort to preserve traditions and foster friendly religious ideas. In other words, the idea of religious moderation is actually an option to preserve Indonesia's diversity without having to uproot existing traditions and cultures. In the case of Islamophobia, it is necessary to change a person's mindset or mindset so that there is no bad prejudice against other religions. It is undeniable that Islamophobia can make people devoid of morals or become immoral. Because he makes excessive fear so that negative views arise against fellow Muslims. To stop the spread of Islamophobia, it is necessary to apply the concept of religious moderation in order to maintain the harmony of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This can be done in theological, political, sociological, and judicial frameworks. This harmony between the people and the Indonesian state is guided by the agreement, Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Bhineka Tunggal Ika, and the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia (four pillars), which must be upheld as supporters. As a diverse country, what we really want is to live in harmony in a diverse atmosphere, but this is not just a dream for each of us to participate. Of course, differences must be positioned as assets to build harmony itself
Supporting system development by novice software engineers using a tutor-based software visualization (TubVis) approach
Most computer-aided software engineering (CASE) products provide visualization utility to view software artefacts developed. Nevertheless, existing methods or approaches in such tools are limited to generating the views or component dependencies that is focusing on twhat' the output ofreverse engineering process. The online help provided by the tools only indicate thow' to use the tools to generate the views. Since existing tools mostly target for experienced software engineers, they tend to overlook the need ofexplaining twhy' the output is recommended or not with regard to software engineering principles. Hence we propose tutor-based software visualization (Tub Vis) approach in So Vis tool that analyses software artefacts pertaining to software engineering best practices inputted by the experts and generate a set of recommendations regarding the design and coding for a novices. We anticipate TubVis can improve the quality of software design and program comprehension by combining practical and theoretical aspects of software engineering education in a software visualization tool
