Session B7: Efficiency and Suitability of the Fish Passage in River Ceyhan, Turkey

Abstract: The efficiency of the 2 different fish passages in River Ceyhan, Turkey were investigated by trap catches, external tags, PIT telemetry and radio telemetry. Fish were caught by electrofishing downstream of the fish passage. They were marked with tags and released downstream of the fish passages. Automatic PIT-tag logging station and a trap were positioned at the upstream exit of the fish passage. Radio tagged fish were also tracked by a receiver and antenna, manually. The pool type fish passages was ineffective because none of the fish were found in the trap and none of the 25 radio tagged fish were passed. As for the vertical slot fish passage, a total of 495 Capoeta angorae and 280 Alburnus kotschyi were caught into the trap. Migration movements took place between May 01 and July 21. Thirteen individuals (10.7%) of the 122 external tagged C. angore and 24 individuals (15.4%) from the 156 PIT tagged C. angore passed. Similarly, 18 individuals (75%) among the 24 radio tagged fish passed. These different passing rates was because of tagged fish sizes (p\u3c0.05). The mean length of the C. angorae passing through was 19.4 cm (11.0-39.7 cm) and the mean length of the A. kotschyi was 15.6 cm (10.1-19.8 cm). Tagged fish sizes varied from 13 to 26.5 cm (19.8±2.75) for the external tagged fish, from 11.1 to 28.3 cm (16.6±3.6 cm) for the PIT tagged fish and from 24.5 to 46.4 cm (31.3±5.85 cm) for the radio tagged fish. However, the size of the fish passing through were 20.5±1.72 cm (18.6-24.0 cm) for external tagged fish, 22.0±3.6 cm (13.7- 28.3 cm) for the PIT tagged fish and 31.5±6.17 cm (25.5-46.4 cm) for the radio tagged fish. There is a strong relationship between the sex of the migratory C. angorae and their migration time (day) (R2=0.998)

Analysing of the relationships between behaviours related to organizational justice, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship

In this study, the relation between organizational commitment and organizational justice notions which are effective on teachers’ organizational citizenship is demonstrated. This research is a descriptive study in correlational survey method. In the study, high schools in the city centre of Gaziantep were examined, and consisting of 283 teachers. The study was carried out on the easily accessible sample. The data were collected by using a personal data form, organizational justice, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship tools. The data were analyzed with correlation and multiple linear regression methods. In a middle or large scale, positive and meaningful relations between organizational justice, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship the perceptions of teachers were examined. Whether personal and vocational factors are effective on organizational citizenship, or not, was also examined. It was confirmed that organizational justice directly affects organizational citizenship, and also organizational commitment is a partial mediation predictor to organizational citizenship. Relationship between systemic inflammation indices and time of onset of symptoms in cardiac remodeling after first ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction

Background: Circadian variations play a pivotal role in both leukocyte trafficking and inflammatory response. This may affect the fate of cardiac healing after myocardial infarction (MI). Aims: The present study investigates the relationship between the systemic immune inflammation (SII) and response (SIRI) indices, two new inflammation indices integrating white blood cells subsets and platelets, and time of onset of symptoms in left ventricular adverse remodeling (LVAR) after ST-elevation MI (STEMI). Methods: In this retrospective study, 512 patients with first-time STEMI were included. The time of onset of symptoms was divided into 4 groups of 06:00-11:59, 12:00-17:59, 18:00-23:59, and 00:00-05:59. The endpoint was LVAR, defined as the increase of left ventricular end-diastolic and end-systolic volume by ≥12% at 6 months. Results: The time of onset of chest pain most often occurred between 06:00 and 11:59 AM. In this window of time, median SII and SIRI indices were higher than other time intervals. Increased SIRI level (OR = 3.03, P < 0.001), symptom onset in morning hours (OR = 2.92, P = 0.03), and increased GRACE score (OR = 1.16, P < 0.001) were determined as independent predictors of LVAR. The threshold value of the SIRI to discriminate between patients with and without LVAR was >2.5 (AUC=0.84, P < 0.001). The SIRI showed superior diagnostic performance compared to the SII. Conclusions: In patients with STEMI, increased SIRI was independently associated with LVAR. This was more pronounced at 06:00-11:59 AM. Despite differences across circadian periods, the SIRI may be a potential screening tool for predicting LVAR patients at long-term risk of heart failure

Designing and analyzing park sensor system for efficient and sustainable car park area management

Many problems have been seen in cities because of increasing vehicle density. One of these problems is vehicle density in parking lots. People look for empty parking areas and they spend too much time. While people look for empty parking areas, CO2 (carbon dioxide) emission and energy consumption increase due to density in parking lots. We worked to solve these problems by doing Magnetic Car Park Sensor. Magnetic Car Park Sensor is the system which detects cars in car parks. After cars detected with the system, the system sends information to center server and we can see information data in the system interface. The system helps people to find empty parking lots. As people find empty car park areas fastly, energy consumption and CO2 emission are decreased significantly

Adölesanlarda varyant anjina: Kardiyak bilgisayarlı tomografinin kullanımı ve literatür taraması

Göğüs ağrısı çocuklarda ve özellikle de adölesanlarda sık bir şikâyet olup çoğunlukla kalp dışı nedenlidir. Varyant anjina çocuklarda nadir görülen kalp kaynaklı göğüs ağrısı nedenlerinden birisidir. Varyant anjina erişkinlerde iyi tanımlanmış olmasına rağmen, adölesanlardaki göğüs ağrısının nadir bir nedenidir. Bu makalede varyant anjina tanısı konulan üç adölesan bildirilmiş olup varyant anjinanın tanısında kardiyak bilgisayarlı tomografinin kullanımı ve tedavisi literatür eşliğinde ayrıntılı olarak tartışılmıştır
