Energy availability is a growing concern of the 21st century worldwide and generating this energy should not affect the envinment and its inhabitants negatively. The modern energy transmission and distribution system became more interesting with the advent of smart grid and integrating renewable energy sources into the grid creates a challenging problem of managing harmonics. To effectively integrate renewable energy as well as minimizing harmonics content in the power system smart grid importance was highlighted, with value of harmonic current content measured by the total harmonic distortion (THD) based on electrical system rated current value. This thesis is aimed towards reviewing the available techniques in reducing the harmonic distortions for effective and efficient transmission of renewable energy in smart grid integration. The use of an improved control strategy was proposed which significantly improves the effectiveness of harmonic elimination in smart grid systems. The two-level and there-level inverters in solar integration to the smart grid were studied, thereby presented a controlled hydrid filtering technique that implemented three-level inverter, that provides effective means of harmonics elimination. There was significant improvement of over twenty percent in the use of three-level inverter against two-level, even with the about 25% reduction in cost, the two-level inverter losses over forty percent of power as compared to three-level. With tens of thousands of grid connected inverters globally, the cost of three-level ineverter will achieved over 15% lower cost compared with the two-level topology in just a year. Matlab/Simulink software was use to simulate the model using passive, active and hybrid filter with and without control and the hybrid method with control showed the lowest THD value, which was within acceptable limits.Enerji mevcudiyeti, dünya genelinde 21. yüzyılda artan bir endişedir ve bu enerji üretiminin çevreyi ve onun sakinlerini olumsuz yönde etkilememesi gerekmektedir. Modern enerji iletim ve dağıtım sistemleri akıllı şebekenin ortaya çıkmasıyla daha ilginç hale geldi. Yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklardan elde edilen kesintili enerjiyi şebekeye entegre etmek harmoniklerden kaynaklanan kalite sorunları yaratır. Bundan dolayı, bu çalışmada yenilenebilir enerjiyi etkili bir şekilde entegre etmek ve güç sistemi içindeki harmonik içeriğini en aza indirmek için, elektrik sistemi anma akımı değerine dayalı olarak toplam harmonik bozulma ile ölçülen harmonik akım içeriğinin değeriyle vurgulanmıştır. Bu tez, sunulan tekniklerin etkinliğini artırmak için kontrol stratejisinin kullanılmasını içeren akıllı şebeke entegrasyonunda yenilenebilir enerjinin etkin ve verimli iletimi için harmonik bozulmaların azaltılmasındaki mevcut tekniklerin gözden geçirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Akıllı şebekeye güneş enerjisi entegrasyonunda iki seviyeli ve orada seviyedeki invertörler daha iyi incelenmiş ve böylece harmoniklerin ortadan kaldırılması tekniklerinin etkili araçlarının bir incelemesini sunmuştur. Üç seviyeli invertör kullanımında, iki seviyeye oranla yüzde yirmiden az harmonic oluşumu gözlemlenmiş; ayrıca üç seviyeli invertörlerin, güç kayıpları bazında, iki seviyeye kıyasla yüzde kırkın üzerinde kayda değer bir gelişme gösterdiği gözlemlernmiştir. AES encryption of resource allocation for ultra-reliable and enhanced mobile broadband IoT applications in fog network
The cloud computing paradigm has evolved toward the edge in recent years in order
to give improved Quality of Service (QoS) to Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
However, because fog network technology's resource capacity is limited, it's critical
to efficiently connect IoT applications with demanding QoS requirements to the
available network infrastructure. We design a joint user association and resource
allocation problem in the fog network's downlink in aforementioned research, taking
into account the ever-increasing demand for QoS standards imposed by Ultra�Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC) and Enhanced Mobile BroadBand
(EMBB) services. First, we enforce the analytical framework using an Analytic
Hierarchy Process (AHP) to assess the priority of different QoS requirements of
heterogeneous IoT applications at the fog network. We then create a two-sided
matching game using the AHP to establish a solid connection between the fog
network architecture and IoT devices. We next encrypt the data using the Advanced
Encryption Standard (AES) technique to safeguard it against theft and misus
Evaluation and Modeling of the Car Speed Control Process using a PID Controller
Car speed is an essential attribute for analysing the utility of a transport mode. The speed relationship between multiple modes of transport is of interest to traffic planners and operators. Nowadays, the cruise control system has become a common feature of modern cars. A car control system helps in providing comfortability to the driver while driving long-distance travel. Using a car control system, travelling on the highways has become easier than before because it reduces the mental and physical stress caused by regularly monitoring the speed of the car and frequently pressing the gas pedal to maintain the speed. This paper is aimed at modelling a car control system and examining its characteristics based on the PID control strategy. Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller provides a great way to stabilize systems. It has the ability to change the response of the system to be stable and reliable when it is used for controlling systems. This system is actualized with the help of MATLAB for simulation and control purposes. The paper showed that without the use of the PID controller, the speed was stable after 100 seconds, and when the controller was used and self-turned, the speed was approximately stable at 20 seconds, and this shows the effectiveness of using the PID controller
Developing the Knowledge Workers Model for Core Competencies Management in Iraqi Higher Education Institutions
This paper aims at developing the knowledge workers model for core competencies management via identifying the dimensions of the knowledge workers that are possibly related to the core competencies management. The primary motivations for the current research lies in those gaps represented of scientific and experimental studies in this scope, as well as for the purpose of increasing knowledge in this field. This theoretical research contributes to the development of the knowledge workers model based on its dimensions for core competencies management in Iraqi higher education Institutions. This research used quantitative approach by questionnaire was taken in collecting the data from the research community represented by some Iraqi higher education institutes samples that reached (256) questionnaires, which is about (80%), distributed to individually. The correlation coefficient (Spearman's) and Regression coefficient was relied on by using spss-ver.24. also the Knowledge-based Institutional theory was depended on explaining the results. The empirical analysis of the results was made using (Cronbach's alpha) to test the scales consistency of the validity of the consistency coefficient. The questionnaire was on a high consistency and validity. The results have largely supported the research model referring to the relationship of the knowledge workers have a good correlation and influence relationship in the core competencies management. Hence, this research could be of great use to the researchers, academics, professionals and policies makers

تأثير العامل السياسي على الأداء الصحفي المتخصص في الصحافة العراقية الالكترونية
سعت الدراسة للتعرف على العامل السياسي المؤثر على أداء الصحفي المتخصص في الصحف الالكترونية العراقية، وتنطلق أهمية الدراسة من أهمية القائم بالاتصال في الصحف التي فرضت نفسها على الواقع نتيجة انتشارها الواسع واستخداماتها المتعددة واتساع قاعدة الحريات، والتنوع الحاصل في تعدد وجهات النظر، وبما تنشره وتسلط الضوء عليه من القضايا تهم المجتمع، وارتباط أهمية هذه الصحف بقائميها الذين يواجهون جملة من العوامل التي تؤثر على قيمة هذه الوسائل وأدائها التي تنصب بالنهاية عليها سلبًا او إيجابًا، وعلى ضوء ذلك تم تحديد العامل السياسي؛ لأنه المحرك الأساس لبقية العوامل المؤثرة عليه، واستخدم الباحث المنهج المسحي للإجابة عن تساؤلات الدراسة وأهدافها عن طريق أسلوب الحصر الشامل على الصحفيين المتخصصين الذين يعملون في الصحف العراقية الالكترونية والتي بلغ عددها (128) صحفي للمدة من 2022/9/28 إلى 2022/11/28، وتم مراعاة المتغيرات الشخصية للمبحوثين من "النوع والسن والتحصيل العلمي"، وتوصل البحث إلى نتائج عّدة منها: كشفت نتائج البحث أن 75% من الذكور مقابل 25% من الاناث ممن يعملون في المجال الصحفي المتخصص، والتحاق الصحفيين برغباتهم الشخصية التي هي أقوى الفئات، فضلًا عن أن هناك تأثيرات للعامل السياسي على الكفاءة الاتصالية للصحفي المتخصص
Development Of Electrospun Nanofibres Containing Ibuprofen Grafted Nanocrystalline Cellulose For Dermal Delivery
Nanomaterials offer various benefits in dermal drug delivery, including a large surface-to-volume ratio and enhanced drug disposition in the skin. Nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) is a potential drug nanocarrier due to its abundant surface hydroxyl groups, making it suitable to be grafted with active pharmaceutical ingredients. However, dermal delivery of nanomaterials needs a proper platform to ensure a good distribution in the formulations. The objective of the thesis is to investigate the electrospun nanofibres carrying ibuprofen-grafted NCC for dermal delivery system application. Firstly, NCC was isolated from kapok pulp using multiple acid hydrolysis with the assistance of central composite design to optimise the reaction conditions, namely acid concentration, reaction temperature and time. At the optimum condition, NCC produced showed a rod-like shape with a length of 230.3 ± 39.8 nm, zeta potential of -39.7 ± 0.6 mV, yield of 18.8 ± 1.5% and crystallinity index of 72.6%
Level of Training Needs of Aden University Faculty Members from their Perspective
هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى درجة تقدير عينة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة عدن لاحتياجاتهم التدريبية، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة اتبع الباحث المنهج الوصفي/ التحليلي، وتكونت أداتها من استبانة مكونة من (56) فقرة موزعة على أربعة مجالات هي: (المهارات التدريسية، والمهارات الشخصية والقيادية، ومهارات البحث العلمي، والمهارات التقنية)، وقد تم تطبيق الأداة على عينة اشتملت (196) عضواً من أعضاء هيئة التدريس في جامعة عدن، في الفصل الثاني للعام الجامعي 2017/2018م، وأظهرت النتائج أن الدرجة الكلية لتقدير أفراد العينة لاحتياجاتهم التدريبية كانت كبيرة عند وزن نسبي (80.27%)، وكذلك في كل مجال من مجالات الأداة مرتبة حسب الوزن النسبي كالآتي:( المهارات التدريسية (81.39%)، بالمرتبة الأولى، ويليها مهارات البحث العلمي (81.04%)، ثم المهارات الشخصية والقيادية (81.00%)، وفي المرتبة الأخيرة المهارات التقنية (77.51%)، كما أنه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05 ≥ α) بين متوسطات درجات تقدير أفراد العينة لاحتياجاتهم التدريبية تُعزى لمتغير (الجنس، نوع الكلية، الرتبة الأكاديمية) بشكل عام، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بالنسبة لمتغير سنوات الخدمة ولصالح الفئة من (1-5) سنوات. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصى الباحث بضرورة عقد دورات تدريبية مستمرة لأعضاء هيئة التدريس تشمل المجالات المختلفة حيث كانت درجة الحاجة التدريبية كبيرة.

The researcher used the analytical descriptive method in order to achieve the aims of the study. The study used a questionnaire which consisted of (56) items and distributed over four dimensions: teaching skills, personal and leading skills, scientific research skills and technical skills. The instrument was administered to a sample of 196 teaching staff members at the University of Aden in the second semester, academic year 2017- 2018. The results revealed that the members’ total degree of assessment of their training needs was high with a relative weight (80.27%). Moreover, each dimension of the questionnaire was ordered according to the relative weight, as follows: the teaching skills got the highest rank (81.39%); the scientific research skills scored (81.04%); the personal and leading skills scored (81.00%); and the technical skills scored (77.51%). The results also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences (α 0.05 ≥) among the average of degrees of assessment expressed by the sample regarding their training needs, attributed to these variables: gender, the type of college and the academic rank). In addition, there were statistically significant differences attributed to the variable of years of experience, in favor of category (1-5) years. According to the results of the study, the researcher recommended that various ongoing training courses for the teaching staff members should be conducted .
