Learning symbolic representations of actions from human demonstrations
In this paper, a robot learning approach is pro- posed which integrates Visuospatial Skill Learning, Imitation Learning, and conventional planning methods. In our approach, the sensorimotor skills (i.e., actions) are learned through a learning from demonstration strategy. The sequence of per- formed actions is learned through demonstrations using Visu- ospatial Skill Learning. A standard action-level planner is used to represent a symbolic description of the skill, which allows the system to represent the skill in a discrete, symbolic form. The Visuospatial Skill Learning module identifies the underlying constraints of the task and extracts symbolic predicates (i.e., action preconditions and effects), thereby updating the planner representation while the skills are being learned. Therefore the planner maintains a generalized representation of each skill as a reusable action, which can be planned and performed inde- pendently during the learning phase. Anticancer activity of Sargassum oligocystum water extract against human cancer cell lines
Background and Objectives:
Antitumor drug resistance and side effects of
antitumor compounds are the most common
problems in medicine. Therefore, finding new
antitumor agents with low side effects could be
interesting. This study was designed to assay
antitumor activity of the extract from brown alga
Sargassum oligocystum, gathered from Persian
Gulf seashore, against K562 and Daudi human
cancer cell lines.
Materials and Methods: The research was
performed as an in vitro study. The effect of
the alga extract on proliferation of cell lines
were measured by two methods: MTT assay
and trypan blue exclusion test.
Results and Conclusion: The most effective
antitumor activity has been shown at concentrations
500 μg/ml and 400 μg/ml of the alga
extract against Daudi and K562 cell lines,
respectively. The results showed that the extracts
of brown alga Sargassum oligocystum
have remarkable antitumor activity against
K562 and Daudi cell lines. It is justified to be
suggested for further research such as algal
extract fractionation and purification and in vivo
studies in order to formulate natural compounds
with antitumor activities
Inequity in household's capacity to pay and health payments in Tehran-Iran-2013
Background: Health inequality monitoring especially in Health care financing field is very important. Hence, this study tends to assess the inequality in household's capacity to pay and out-ofpocket health carepaymentsin Tehran metropolis. Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed in 2013.Thestudy population was selected by stratified cluster sampling, and they constitute the typical households living in Tehran (2200 households). The required data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Excel and Stata v.11. Concentration Index on inequality was used for measuring inequality status in capacity to pay and household payments for health care expenses; and also the concentration index for out-of-pocket payments and capacity to pay was used to determine the extent of inequality. The recall period for inpatient care was one year and 1 month for outpatient. Results: The average of out-of-pocket payments for receiving the outpatient services was determined to be 44.33US and for each inpatient1861.11 US. Concentration index for household's outof- pocket payments for inpatient health care, out-of-pocket payments for outpatient health care and health prepayments were calculated 0.13, -0.10 and -0.11, respectively. Also, concentration index in household's capacity to pay was estimated to be 0.11whichindicatedinequality to the benefit of the rich. The households used financing strategies like savings, borrowing or lending to pay their health care expenditures. Conclusion: According to this study, the poor spend a greater portion of their capacity to pay for outpatient and inpatient health care costs and prepayment, in comparison to the rich. Thus, supporting the vulnerable groups of the society to decrease out-of-pocket payments and increasing the household's capacity to pay through government support in order to improve the household economic potential, must be considered very important
Safety and efficacy of PDpoetin for management of anemia in patients with end stage renal disease on maintenance hemodialysis: Results from a phase IV clinical trial
Recombinant human erythropoietin (rHuEPO) is available for correcting anemia. PDpoetin, a new brand of rHuEPO, has been certified by Food and Drug Department of Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran for clinical use in patients with chronic kidney disease. We conducted this post-marketing survey to further evaluate the safety and efficacy of PDpoetin for management of anemia in patients on maintenance hemodialysis. Patients from 4 centers in Iran were enrolled for this multicenter, open-label, uncontrolled phase IV clinical trial. Changes in blood chemistry, hemoglobin and hematocrit levels, renal function, and other characteristics of the patients were recorded for 4 months; 501 of the patients recruited, completed this study. Mean age of the patients was 50.9 (±16.2) years. 48.7 of patients were female. Mean of the hemoglobin value in all of the 4 centers was 9.29 (±1.43) g/dL at beginning of the study and reached 10.96 (±2.23) g/dL after 4 months and showed significant increase overall (P<0.001). PDpoetin dose was stable at 50-100 U/kg thrice weekly. Hemorheologic disturbancesand changes in blood electrolytes was not observed. No case of immunological reactions to PDpoetin was observed. Our study, therefore, showed that PDpoetin has significantly raised the level of hemoglobin in the hemodialysis patients (about 1.7±0.6 g/dL). Anemia were successfully corrected in 49 of patients under study. Use of this biosimilar was shown to be safe and effective for the maintenance of hemoglobin in patients on maintenance hemodialysis. © A.N. Javidan et al., 2014
The productivity and its barriers in public hospitals: Case study of Iran
Background: Due to the increasing health care costs, the issue of productivity in hospitals must be taken into great consideration in order to provide, preserve and promote public health services. Thus, increasing the level of productivity must become the main aim of any hospital. Objective of this study is to determine the total factor productivity and its components over the period under the study. Methods: In this cross sectional study, total factor productivity changes of hospitals affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences were measured according to Malmquist index over the period 2009-2014. To estimate total productivity changes using Data Envelopment Analysis method, inputoriented and variable return to scale assumptions were applied and Deap2.1 software was used. Results: The mean value of total productivity changes was 1.013. It means that during the study period the productivity experienced a 1.3 decrease. Technological efficiency changes have the greatest influence on productivity decrease than the other factors. Scale efficiency, managerial efficiency and technical efficiency changes were ranked. Conclusion: Lack of knowledge of hospital personnel on proper application of technology in patient treatment is the main factor leading to productivity decrease resulting from technological changes in the studied hospitals. Therefore, holding courses for personnel in order to teach them the proper use of technology in diagnosis and patient care can be helpful
Preparation of immunotoxin herceptin-botulinum and killing effects on two breast cancer cell lines
Background: Worldwide, breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among women and a leading cause of cancer deaths. The age of onset in Iran has become reduced by a decade for unknown reasons. Herceptin, a humanized monoclonal antibody, is a target therapy for breast cancer cells with over expression of HER2-neu receptors, but it is an expensive drug with only 20 beneficial rate of survival. This study introduces a novel approach to enhance the efficacy of this drug through immunoconjugation of the antibody to botulinum toxin. Decreasing the cost and adverse effects of the antibody were secondary goals of this study. Materials and Methods: Botulinum toxin was conjugated with Herceptin using heterobifunctional cross linkers, succinimidyl acetylthiopropionate (SATP) and sulfo-succinimidyl-4-(N-maleimidomethyl) cyclohexane-1-carboxylate (SMCC) according to the supplier's guidelines and tested on two breast cancer cell lines: SK-BR-3 and BT-474. Toxin and Herceptin were also used separately as controls. The cytotoxicity assay was also performed using the new bioconjugate on cultured cells with Alamar blue and a fluorescence plate reader. Results: Herceptin-Toxin bioconjugation significantly improved Herceptin efficacy on both breast cancer cell lines when compared to the control group. Conclusions: Toxin-Herceptin bioconjugation can be a potential candidate with increased efficiency for treating breast cancer patients with over expression of the HER2 receptor
Relativistic three-particle scattering equations
We derive a set of relativistic three-particle scattering equations in the
three-particle c.m. frame employing a relativistic three-particle propagator
suggested long ago by Ahmadzadeh and Tjon in the c.m. frame of a two-particle
subsystem. We make the coordinate transformation of this propagator from the
c.m. frame of the two-particle subsystem to the three-particle c.m. frame. We
also point out that some numerical applications of the Ahmadzadeh and Tjon
propagator to the three-nucleon problem use unnecessary nonrelativistic
approximations which do not simplify the computational task, but violate

Relativistic Effect on Low-Energy Nucleon-Deuteron Scattering
The relativistic effect on differential cross sections, nucleon-to-nucleon
and nucleon-to-deuteron polarization transfer coefficients, and the spin
correlation function, of nucleon-deuteron elastic scattering is investigated
employing several three-dimensional relativistic three-body equations and
several nucleon-nucleon potentials. The polarization transfer coefficients are
found to be sensitive to the details of the nucleon-nucleon potentials and the
relativistic dynamics employed, and prefer trinucleon models with the correct

Relativistic three-body bound states and the reduction from four to three dimensions
Beginning with an effective field theory based upon meson exchange, the
Bethe-Salpeter equation for the three-particle propagator (six-point function)
is obtained. Using the one-boson-exchange form of the kernel, this equation is
then analyzed using time-ordered perturbation theory, and a three-dimensional
equation for the propagator is developed. The propagator consists of a
pre-factor in which the relative energies are fixed by the initial state of the
particles, an intermediate part in which only global propagation of the
particles occurs, and a post-factor in which relative energies are fixed by the
final state of the particles. The pre- and post-factors are necessary in order
to account for the transition from states where particles are off their mass
shell to states described by the global propagator with all of the particle
energies on shell. The pole structure of the intermediate part of the
propagator is used to determine the equation for the three-body bound state: a
Schr{\"o}dinger-like relativistic equation with a single, global Green's
function. The role of the pre- and post-factors in the relativistic dynamics is
to incorporate the poles of the breakup channels in the initial and final
states. The derivation of this equation by integrating over the relative times
rather than via a constraint on relative momenta allows the inclusion of
retardation and dynamical boost corrections without introducing unphysical

Synthesis of CdO nanoparticles using direct chemical precipitation method: Fabrication of novel voltammetric sensor for square wave voltammetry determination of chlorpromazine in pharmaceutical samples
A chemically modified electrode was constructed and applied to the electrooxidation of the chlorpromazine (CPZ). The oxidation peak potential of the CPZ at a surface of CdO/nanoparticles (NPs) ionic liquid carbon paste electrode (CdO/NPs/IL/CPE) appeared at 695 mV. The CdO/NPs were characterized with different methods such as transmission electron microscope and X-ray diffraction. Under optimized (pH 7.0), linear calibration curves were obtained in the range of 0.1–350 µM for CPZ, which shows adequate for the quantification in real samples. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of CPZ in both pharmaceutical and urine samples. © 2017 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC
