    Forest restoration is a process of ecosystem conditioning (soil, vegetation, and wildlife) in order to achieve similarpatterns and profiles to previous conditions and status before the ecosystem was disturbed, both in terms of speciescomposition and structure, and habitat functions. Restoration is a crucial part to maximize the conservation values ofbiodiversity and ecosystem functions. Eight different native plant species were assessed in this research while the photosyntheticparameters studied included the total chlorophyll content, carbohydrate content, CO2 sequestration capacity,leaf weight, leaf number, leaf area and leaf water content. Spectrophotometer was operated to analyse chlorophyllcontent, the Somogyi-Nelson method was used to calculate carbohydrate content, and leaf area was measuredusing the leaf area meter. The research results using the principal component analysis showed that each type of theplant species used for the restoration (2 years old after planting) had different characteristics in terms of photosyntheticparameters studied. Dacrycarpus imbricatus and Syzygium lineatum both had the highest carbohydrate contentsand the best abilities to absorb CO2. Sloanea sigun, Alstonia scholaris, Manglietia glauca, and Castanopsis argentea hadhigher total chlorophyll contents than others, while Altingia excelsa, M. glauca, A. scholaris, and Schima wallichii hadhigher water contents. A. scholaris, M. glauca, and S. sigun had heavier leaf weights. In contrast, M. glauca possessedthe widest leaves amongst the species observed

    VoroCrust: Voronoi Meshing Without Clipping

    Polyhedral meshes are increasingly becoming an attractive option with particular advantages over traditional meshes for certain applications. What has been missing is a robust polyhedral meshing algorithm that can handle broad classes of domains exhibiting arbitrarily curved boundaries and sharp features. In addition, the power of primal-dual mesh pairs, exemplified by Voronoi-Delaunay meshes, has been recognized as an important ingredient in numerous formulations. The VoroCrust algorithm is the first provably-correct algorithm for conforming polyhedral Voronoi meshing for non-convex and non-manifold domains with guarantees on the quality of both surface and volume elements. A robust refinement process estimates a suitable sizing field that enables the careful placement of Voronoi seeds across the surface circumventing the need for clipping and avoiding its many drawbacks. The algorithm has the flexibility of filling the interior by either structured or random samples, while preserving all sharp features in the output mesh. We demonstrate the capabilities of the algorithm on a variety of models and compare against state-of-the-art polyhedral meshing methods based on clipped Voronoi cells establishing the clear advantage of VoroCrust output.Comment: 18 pages (including appendix), 18 figures.     Penelitian ini mengangkat masalah, bagaimana proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni budaya (teater) di SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya yang dilaksanakan oleh guru bidang studi non seni, dan apasajakah hambatan yang dihadapi guru seni budaya dalam proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni budaya (teater) di SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya yang dilaksanakan oleh guru bidang non seni. Serta bagaimanakah hasil pembelajaran seni budaya (teater) di SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya yang dilaksanakan oleh guru bidang studi non seni. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni budaya (teater) di SMAN1 Krueng Barona Jaya yang dilaksanakan oleh guru bidang non seni, dan mengetahui apasaja hambatan yang dihadapi guru seni budaya dalam proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni budaya (teater) di SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya, serta mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran seni budaya (teater) di SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya yang dilaksanakan oleh guru bidang studi non seni. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kualitatif, sedangkan jenisnya menggunakan Deskriptif. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan objeknya adalah pembelajaran seni budaya (teater). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni budaya dengan guru bidang non seni dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan pelaksanaan yaitu pelaksanaan kegiatan awal, inti, dan akhir. Serta hambatan yang dihadapi guru seni budaya dalam materi seni teater di SMAN 1 Krueng Barona Jaya, yaitu tidak adanya guru bidang studi seni, kurangnya minat siswa, metode guru, kreatifitas siswa, dan tidak adanya dukungan dari orang tua. Sedangkan hasil pelaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan hasil yang baik dengan presentase nilai di atas rata-rata 70

    Career maturity is a condition that needed to choice the program in higher level study. Henceforth, the low level of career maturity in senior high school student has to be solved with the comprehensive intervention as soon as possible. The purpose of this research is to know the effectivity of Reach Your Dreams Training and career counseling for improving career maturity in senior high school student. This research used Solomon Six Group Design. Subjects of this research are 42 senior high school students with average level of career maturity who are divided into two groups given Reach Your Dreams Training, two groups given career counseling, and two control groups. According to the result, the conclusion of this research is Reach Your Dreams Training and Counseling Career can improve career maturity level in senior high school students effectively. It is caused by the effect of Reach Your Dreams Training and career counseling, and not caused by the effect of pretest

    Gadung constitutes carbohydrate source. But then, gadung also contain poison who can switch off if consumed by overdose. Severally region at Indonesian, gadung is utilized as food of alternative or just is utilized as demulcent food. Besides as source of carbohydrate, gadung also contain calcium, phosphorus and iron substance one stand in good stead in human body. Remembering gadung quality that exists at marketing that stills to contemn, so needs to be studied by method that effisien and results gadung that high-grade. To the effect this research is subject to be know HCN's poison rate that exists in gadung's corm, knowing absorbent material type influence (chaff ash and wood ash) one that is utilized and weight influence of that absorbent material for disappearance to titrate HCN's poison in gadung's corm. Research did by adds absorbent material on surface cut gadung with rolled out. Gadung already being sliced by little – little then added by absorbent material (chaff ash, wood ash, and active carbon) until rolled out goes to all cut surface with variation (5%, 10%,15%) and is set, packaged by calico. Then is pressed and at aging up to 24 hours and afterwards are dried. Soaking in water 15 liters up to 72 hours, then is dried again. Experimental result then analysed by spektrofotometri's quiz tool so known by HCN's poison rate that lost from umbi gadung. Result is that show trial active carbon can't be utilized to absorb HCN'S poison, meanwhile wood ash and chaff ash can be utilized as absorbent material of HCN'S poison on gadung's corm. Chaff ash with composition 5%,10%,15% get to remove HCN as big as 42,08%; 56,57%; 56,58%. Timbered ash with composition 5%,10%,15% can remove HCN'S poisons as big as 27,44%; 56,51%; 63,78%. Optimum absorbent material acquired on absorbent material type that is utilized as ash of wood as big as 15% of heavy gadung's corms, which is poison which gets lost as big as 63,78%

    The purpose of this research was developing a model of etnopedagogic-basedcharacter and entrepreneurship education in elementary school. The research location wasindigenous village named Cikondang that sites in South of Bandung. The research wasbegun by identifying the local culture and also character and entrepreneurship values inlocal community. Furthermore, it developed learning models and learning tools within localwisdom-based character and entrepreneurial values. The research method was researchand development method. The result of the trial showed that the model was effectivelyimplemented. The learners felt happy dan enthusistic about carrying out various learningactiviteis during the learning prosess. However, its overall implementation in the schooleducation system need more of time that any of these values could be integrated in thebehavior of all member of the school

    Active neutrino Oscillations and the SNO neutral Current measurement

    We discuss the relation between the observed CC, ES, and NC fluxes with the flavor fractional content of the solar neutrino flux seen by SNO. By using existing estimates of the cross sections for the charged and neutral current reactions which take into account the detector resolution, we show how the forthcoming SNO rates unconstrained by the standard 8^8B shape could test the oscillations into active states. We perform a model independent analysis for the Super-K and SNO data, assuming a non distorted spectrum.Comment: 6pages, 4 figure
