    The focus in this study are: 1) how the behavior of the Kiai recognizes the situation of the pesantren community, 2) the behavior of the Kiai in providing direction and guidance to the community of the pesantren, 3) the behavior of the Kiai giving the delegation of authority to the pesantren community in developing formal education. Type of phenomenological research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documents, and audiovisual materials. Data analysis tools used interactive models. The results of this study: 1) the process of diagonalizing the Kiai which is carried out in the internal and external environment of the pesantren applies three important components, namely religious compatibility, commitment, and competence, 2) direction and guidance of the Kiai is carried out based on the maturity of the community which is described rationally through Kiai's scatted concept of maturity rate, 3) variable delegation of authority based on the scale of maturity and the development of a hierarchical structure. The conditions develop according to the competency scale, while the initiation is in line with the development of commitment

    The existence of Islamic Religious Education in SMP Negeri 2 Jember has not changed the situation much. This is due to the dichotomy of education system, caused by general lessons that subordinate Islamic Religious Education, so that religious teachers lose the guts to continue to develop Islamic Religious Education strategies, even if sometimes the potential exists. So there needs to be a form of a reliable strategy, in order to attract students' interest in learning religion. In this regard, the discussion in this journal discusses the school's strategy in developing Islamic education at SMP Negeri 2 Jember. The research method used in this research is qualitative. This research is a case study, because this research is carried out intensively, in detail and fundamentally about an institution that projects educational development strategies. The results of this study indicate that SMP Negeri 2 Jember concentrates on learning PAI. This is evidenced by the various efforts made for the success of school strategies in improving PAI learning in public schools on a macro basis

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh banyaknya guru yang hanya berperan sebagai pendidik yakni hanya mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan saja tanpa memberikan motivasi dalam rangka membentuk akhlak siswanya menjadi lebih baik. Sehingga sering dijumpai siswa yang malas dalam belajar, akhlak siswa yang kurang baik terhadap guru maupun sesama siswa dalam hal perkataan, perbuatan, dan tingkah laku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran guru pendidikan agama Islam sebagai motivator dalam membentuk akhlak siswa dan menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi peran guru pendidikan agama Islam sebagai motivator dalam membentuk akhlak siswa di MTs An-Najahiyyah Kecamatan Kabat Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian adalah guru pendidikan agama islam, kepala sekolah, waka kesiswaan, dan siswa kelas VII B MTs An-Najahiyyah Kecamatan Kabat Kabupaten Banyuwangi dengan jumlah 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan langkah-langkah analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian kualitatif menurut Miles dan Huberman yaitu tahap pengumpulan data (data collection), tahap reduksi data (data reduction), tahap penyajian data (data display), tahap penarikan kesimpulan (conclusions: drawing/verifying). Untuk meningkatkan keabsahan data penelitian kualitatif maka dilakukan proses credibility, transferability, dependabilitas dan konfirmability. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran guru pendidikan agama islam di MTs An-Najahiyyah sudah berjalan sebagaimana mestinya. Terbukti dengan adanya peran guru sebagai motivator dapat menciptakan sekolah yang kondusif serta membentuk akhlak siswa. Dengan adanya program-program yang dilaksanakan di sekolah tersebut dapat mendorong atau merubah akhlak siswa. Di antaranya seperti program sholat berjamaah, membiasakan berperilaku sopan santun, menghargai dan menghormati orang lain, dan menjaga kebersihan atau jumat bersih. Dan adanya faktor yang mempengaruhi pembentukan akhlak siswa dari faktor internal meliputi kebiasaan dan keinginan atau kemauan keras serta faktor eksternal yaitu dari lingkungan sekolah yang dapat mempengaruhi dalam pembentukan akhlak siswa

    The purpose of this research are identified and analyzed the forms of learning activities that are implemented in MTs Negeri 8 Banyuwangi by the Peer Lesson learning strategy, the obstacles experienced and the solution of it. The type of research used qualitative research methods with purposive sampling technique have done in MTs Negeri 8 Banyuwangi. The Researchers use source  and methode triangulations as data validity. Data analysis techniques using structured interviews, active participatory observation and documentation. The results  that the Peer Lesson learning strategy is learning that focuses students as another student tutors  with the step begin of preparation, implementation, and  evaluation. However, some obstacles in this  implementation include the lack of readiness of students to participate in learning, lack of self-confidence in students, more prominent students who are active than those who are less active, learning practices related to the duration of learning are a little less appropriate because of it longer duration compared to initial planning. And it has been found several solutions to these obstacles include suggestions for students to always read the material to be discussed, the motivation of the teacher before learning, giving students the task of making a question and summarizing the material being discussed individually, maximizing the skills and expertise possessed by the teacher

    Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pelaksanaan supervisi pengawas madrasah dalam peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru. Penelitian ini secara spesifik membahas tentang pelaksanaan supervisi akademik yang dilakukan oleh pengawas madrasah yang terdiri dari perencanaan kegiatan supervisi, pelaksanaan supervisi hingga sampai tindak lanjut. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pengamatan, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Alat analisis data yang digunakan model interaktif yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Semenyara itu, keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan trianggulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian ini pertama, perencanaan kegiatan supervisi akademik meliputi penyiapan instrumen supervisi, membuat rancangan pendekatan supervisi dan teknik supervisi dan penentuan waktu pelaksanaannya. Kedua, pelaksanaan kegiatan supervisi akademik dilakukan dengan pendekatan kolaboratif dan teknik individual dan kelompok. Teknik individual yakni pertemuan secara individu dengan guru, sedangkan teknik kelompok dengan cara menghadirkan seluruh guru untuk diskusi sebagai proses kelompok dan tukar-menukar pengalaman. Sebagai tindak lanjut dari pelaksanaan sepervisi, yakni pengawas memberikan pembinaan kepada guru dengan cara memberikan pelatihan. The study specifically discussed the implementation of academic supervisions carried out by madrassa supervisors of supervision activities, the administration of supervision down to follow-up. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data-collecting techniques use observation, interviews, and document study. The data analysis tool used by interactive models consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and deduction deduction. Incidentally, the validity of the data in this research uses source triulation. The results of this first study, the planning of the academic supervision activities included the preparation of supervision instruments, the design of supervision approaches and supervision techniques and the timing of the execution. Second, the performance of academic supervision is carried out with collaborative approaches and individual and group techniques. An individual technique of meeting individually with teachers, while a group technique presents all teachers to discussion as a group process and an experience swap. Because of this threat, Islamic education as a branch of aespecially scientific discipline is expected to be a solution to the threat. Therefore, educational institutions must be able to be pioneers in improving the character of students, namely by implementing policies or programs that lead to Islamic education.
