UPAYA PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DALAM MATA PELAJARAN AGAMA MELALUI METODE BILLBOARD RANKING PADA SISWA KELAS XII.IPS 3 SMA N 1 RANAH BATAHAN

ABSTRACTBased on the results of student learning Class XII.IPS 3 SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan in the subjects of Religion found that the results of student learning in Religious subjects is still very low. The average student learning outcomes are still below the KKM. The purpose of this study is to describe and obtain information about Efforts to Improve student learning outcomes in subjects Religion sub Reading Al-Qur'an of Jonah and Surat al-Baqarah, Explaining the meaning of developing science and technology as contained in the Quran: Surat Yunus and Al- Baqarah through Billboard Ranking Method in Class XII.IPS 3 SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan Pasaman Barat Regency. This study is a classroom action research. The research procedure in this research includes planning, action, observation and reflection. This study consists of two cycles with four meetings. Research subjects consist of 29 students of Class XII.IPS 3 SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan. The data were collected using observation sheet and daily test. Data were analyzed using percentages. Based on the results of research and discussion have been put forward, it can be concluded that Billboard Ranking Method can improve student learning outcomes in subjects Religion sub Reading the Qur'an letter of Yunus and Surat al-Baqarah, Explaining the meaning of development of science and technology as contained in the Quran : Surat Yunus and Al-Baqarah in SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan. Student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. ANALISIS PERBEDAAN PEMILIHAN METODE AKUNTANSI TERHADAP TINGKAT UNDERPRICING SAHAM PERDANA

This study aims to examine the different of accounting method on the level of IPO underpricing. The population in this study is a company that did an IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and experiencing underpricing conditions. Samples were determined using the method of cluster system. The research sample is obtained by 53 companies for the variable accounting inventory method, and as many as 82 companies to the variable fixed asset accounting depreciation. Testing the hypothesis using independent sample T-test and Mann-Whitney U Test with SPSS ver. 23. Test results showed that the first hypothesis (H1) which states that there are differences in the level of underpricing occurs in companies that use accounting method of inventory valuation average with companies that use the accounting method of inventory valuation FIFO, was rejected. The second hypothesis (H2) which states that there are differences in the level of underpricing occurs in companies using the straight-line method of depreciation accounting by companies using the declining balance method of depreciation accounting, rejected. La presente investigación se realizó en el municipio de Bonanza con mujeres que asistieron al Movimiento de mujeres “Cristina Rugama” a solicitar apoyo y asesoramiento por su situación de violencia intrafamiliar en el período de Enero – Agosto 2008. An investigation into the effect of denture adhesives on incisal bite force of complete denture wearers using pressure transducers - a clinical study

PURPOSE: Study was conducted to determine and assess the effect of different type of denture adhesives on the incisal bite force of complete denture wearers until the dislodgement of upper denture, using pressure transducer. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 30 patients out of 100 were included in the study. Based on the Kapur's method of scoring denture retention and stability, these patients were divided into 3 groups- Group A - Clinically good dentures; Group B - Clinically fair dentures; and Group C - Clinically poor dentures. A custom made occlusal force meter was constructed based on the load cell type of pressure transducers. Different adhesives (powder, paste and adhesive strips) were used in the study. Complete denture wearers were asked to bite on the load cell and the readings of incisal bite force were recorded. The readings of incisal bite force were subjected to statistical analysis using Repeated measures ANOVA followed by post-hoc bonferroni test. RESULTS: The result suggests that denture adhesives improved the incisal bite force of complete denture wearers significantly The incisal bite force (in kg) in Group A without using adhesives, with powder adhesive, with paste adhesive and with adhesive strips was found to be 2.48 (± 0.16), 3.43 (± 0.11), 6.01 (± 0.11), 3.22 (± 0.09) respectively. The incisal bite force (in kg) in Group B without using adhesives, with powder adhesive, with paste adhesive and with adhesive strips was found to be 1.87 (± 0.18), 3.35 (± 0.14), 5.34 (± 0.18), 3.21 (± 0.12) respectively. The incisal bite force (in kg) in Group C without using adhesives, with powder adhesive, with paste adhesive and with adhesive strips was found to be 1.00 (± 0.17), 3.07 (± 0.14), 4.37 (± 0.26), 2.99 (± 0.14) respectively. CONCLUSION: Within the limitations of the study, it was concluded that the use of denture adhesive was found to be significantly effective in improving the incisal bite force of complete dentures until the dislodgement of upper denture. Fittydent paste adhesive was found to be more effective than the powder and strips adhesives. The improvement in incisal bite force was found to be higher in Group C in comparison to that of Group A and Group B

Hydrophobic and Hydrophilic Effects on Water Structuring and Adhesion in Denture Adhesives

Denture adhesives are designed to be moisture-sensitive through the inclusion of a blend of polymer salts with varying degrees of water-sensitivity. This enables the adhesive to mix with saliva in vivo and activate its high tack, through the formation of a mucilaginous layer. We report for the first time, the use of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to study a series of hydrophobic and hydrophilic polymeric systems in order to correlate water-structuring behavior with adhesion strength. Adhesive bonding of the more hydrophobic variants was higher than that of a commercial-based control and a more hydrophilic polymer system in both lap shear and tensile configurations. Water-binding data suggested that increasing the hydrophobicity of the maleic acid copolymer substituents led to decreased levels of freezing water. In comparison, increasing the hydrophilic nature of the polymer backbone gave higher levels of freezing water within the hydrated samples. The results of this study emphasize the importance of varying the levels of hydrophobic and hydrophilic components within denture adhesive formulations, alongside the types of water present within the adhesive systems.
