alkon İçerikli Metakrilat Polimerlerinin Sentezi, Karakterizasyonu, Termal, Dielektrik ve Floresans Özelliklerinin İncelenmesi

In this study, the (1‐benzofurane‐2‐yl)‐3‐oxo‐prop‐1‐en‐1‐yl]‐2‐methoxyphenyl 2‐methyl acrylate monomer were synthesized from the acylation reaction of this compound with methacryloyl chloride that commercially purchased. Free radicalic or atom transfer radical polymerization methods were used for preparation of copolymers. FT‐IR, 1H and 13C‐NMR techniques were used for structure characterization of polymers. The thermal behaviors of polymers were relatively investigated by DSC and TGA, and the results were  compared with each other. The dielectric behaviors of polymers were investigated as a function of temperature and frequency. The results obtained were associated with their the structures. The spectroscopic properties of the polymers were investigated by UV‐Vis and fluorescence spectroscopies. Effects of the solvent polarity on emission measurement were investigated with fluorescence spectroscopy. Under cover of dimerization property of chalcone, the chalcone ended polymer was photodimerizatied.Bu çalışmada, (1‐benzofuran‐2‐il)’ in    vanilin ile reaksiyonundan (1‐benzofuran‐2‐il)‐3‐(4‐ hidroksi‐3‐metoksifenil)prop‐2‐en‐1‐on sentezlendi. Sentezlenen bu bileşik ile ticari olarak hazır alınan metakriloilklorür ile açilleme reaksiyonundan (1‐benzofuran‐2‐il)‐3‐okso‐prop‐1‐ en‐1‐il]‐2‐metoksifenil 2‐metilakrilat monomeri sentezlendi. Homopolimer ve kopolimerlerin hazırlanmasında serbest radikalik polimerizasyon ve atom transfer radikal polimerizasyon metodları kullanıldı. Yapı karakterizasyonunda ağırlıklı olarak FT‐IR, 1H ve 13C‐NMR teknikleri kullanıldı. Polimerlerin termal davranışları karşılaştırmalı olarak DSC ve TGA ile ölçüldü ve sonuçlar birbirleriyle karşılaştırıldı. Ortalama molekül ağırlıkları ve polidispersiteleri GPC ile ölçüldü. Sıcaklık ve frekansın bir fonksiyonu olarak polimerlerin dielektrik davranışları incelendi ve yapılarıyla ilişkilendirildi. Polimerlerin spektroskopik özellikleri UV‐Vis ve floresans spektroskopileriyle araştırıldı. Floresans spektroskopisiyle emisyon ölçümleri üzerine çözücü polarlığının etkisi araştırıldı. Kalkonun dimerleşme özelliğinden yararlanılarak kalkon uçlu polimer fotodimerleştirildi

The use of the PlasmaBlade and acellular dermal matrix in rhinophyma surgery: A case report

Background: Rhinophyma is a rare, disfiguring disease characterized by a slow progressive overgrowth of the soft tissue of the nose associated with end-stage severe acne rosacea. Objective: We present a case of severe rhinophyma treated successfully using PlasmaBlade and acellular dermal matrix with split-thickness skin graft. Methods: This procedure combines deep excision with PlasmaBlade followed by coverage with an acellular dermal matrix for dermal substitution and split-thickness skin graft. Results: Functional and aesthetic results were satisfactory. Conclusion: We offer a new approach to surgical treatment of rhinophyma. Total excision of phymatous tissue and single session replacement of epidermal-dermal components is an effective treatment for patients with severe rhinophyma, resulting in satisfactory functional and aesthetic outcome. This combined treatment modality prevents the recurrence of rhinophyma. It should be considered an appropriate alternative in cases of severe rhinophyma. © The Author(s) 2016

The Perception of Educational Software Development Self-Efficacy among Undergraduate CEIT Teacher Candidates

    The objective of this study was to analyze self-efficacy perceptions for education software development of teacher candidates studying at Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies, with respect to a range of variables. The Educational Software Development Self-Efficacy Perception Scale was used as data collection tool.  Sixty teacher candidates participated in the study. Independent sample t-test and canonical correlation were used as the data analysis techniques in the study. At the end of the study, it was determined that there is a weak correlation between teacher candidates’ general academic performance and their self-efficacy perception for educational software development, and self-efficacy perception does not vary with gender. A significant difference in favor of 4th year undergraduates was established with respect to year of study. Also, a positive correlation was found between teacher candidates’ self-efficacy perceptions in sub-dimensions of the scale and their achievement in the relevant courses

AN APPROACH TO POWER RATIOS AND PROBABILITIES AND INTERPRETATIONS OF THESE QUANTITIES IN RECTANGULAR QUANTUM WELLS

This study focuses on power and probability expressions belong to normalized frequency and normalized propagation constant of electric field in the rectangular quantum well. The confinement effects of the properties of confined carriers in the energy levels have been studied. Normalized frequency and normalized propagation constant are especially functions of the ordinates and abscissas of the energy eigenvalues for electrons or holes in the rectangular quantum well in the normalized coordinate system (?-?). Our calculations also give more accurate results, and present more sensitive comparative examples
