Precision Prediction of Knitted Fabric Loop Length Through Online Monitoring of Yarn Input Tension and Course Length-A Mathematical Approach for Circular Weft Knitting With Positive Storage Feeding

    Get PDF
A model in the form of an equation has been developed based on the mechanical consideration of yarn during dynamic circular weft knitting process that runs with positive storage feed system. The predicted course length through this model has been compared with that found from actual fabric by a recognized apparatus, i.e. HATRA Course Length Tester. The ttest was carried out over the obtained results for statistical analysis purpose. It was observed that for spun polyester knitted fabric, as used in the experimental part, the model worked very effectively through precision prediction by showing very low average mean difference in predicted course length from that measured from the actual fabric. The t-values and corresponding p-values proved the difference between the predicted and actual results statistically significant and thus opened the scope for further investigation and calibration

    Get PDF
Condition monitoring and early fault diagnosis for wind turbines have become essential industry practice as they help improve wind farm reliability, overall performance and productivity. If not detected and rectified at early stages, some faults can be catastrophic with significant loss or revenue along with interruption to the business relying mainly on wind energy. The failure of Wind turbine results in system downtime and repairing or replacement expenses that significantly reduce the annual income. Such failures call for more systematized operation and maintenance schemes to ensure the reliability of wind energy conversion systems. Condition monitoring and fault diagnosis systems of wind turbine play an important role in reducing maintenance and operational costs and increase system reliability. This paper is aimed at providing the reader with the overall feature for wind turbine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis which includes various potential fault types and locations along with the signals to be analyzed with different signal processing methods

This paper aims to look at the social realistic issues in the context of Sherman Alexie’s literary works. Alexie is one of the postmodern authors in the United States of America. He is very popular among his Native American society as well as community for representing social reality of his age. This paper is divided into several sections; each section shows a benchmark of the 21st century Social Picture of the Native Americans in the light of Alexian Literary Works. It also scrutinizes stories, and novels with a view to highlighting a faithful picture of Native Americans in the light of everyday social issues, including poverty, alcoholism, unhealthiness, racism, and suicidal act. Basically, the main part of my paper deals with social problems of Native Americans in the United States of America as depicted in Alexie’s literary works. It highlights an awareness of the Native Americans so as to keep themselves aloof from drug addiction, poverty, depression, and psychological trauma. Here I have also applied the critical theory of Social Realism with a view to unveiling a subtle literary affinity with Alexie’s works. In this study, I would like to show the significance of this study, and research methodology as well

Reaction of heteroaromatic o-aminonitrile with ethyl N-/bis(methylthio)methyleneamino acetate resulted in annelation of a thieno/3,2-e/imidazo/1,2-c/pyrimidine moiety in a one step process. /1,2,4/Triazolo/4,3-c/thieno/3,2-e/pyrimidine derivatives were prepared by initial treatment of o-aminonitrile with carbon disulfide, followed by methylation with methyl iodide and subsequent reaction with benzhydrazide and thiosemicarbazide, respectively. Hydrazinothieno/2,3-d/pyrimidine was prepared by cyclization of heteroaromatic o-aminoester with formamide, followed by chlorination and subsequent displacement with hydrazine. Treatment of the hydrazine derivative with acetylacetone, benzaldehyde and acetic anhydride afforded pyrazolylpyrimidine, benzylidenehydrazonopyrimidine and trizolopyrimidine derivatives, respectively. Some of these derivatives exhibited pronounced antimicrobial activity.Reakcijom heteroaromatskih o-aminonitrila s etil N-/bis(metiltio)metilenamino acetatom u jednom sintetskom koraku došlo je do anelacije u tieno/3,2-e/imidazo/1,2-c/pirimidin. Energy efficient BS cooperation in DPS CoMP based cellular networks with hybrid power supply

    Get PDF
Energy efficient cellular networking has recently drawn increasing attention for reducing network operation cost without sacrificing the quality of service (QoS). This paper proposes a framework for energy cooperation among base stations (BSS) in coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission based cellular networks, where the BSS are powered by hybrid power supplies including both the conventional grid and renewable energy sources. The considered network deploys BSS having independent energy storages, which are assumed interconnected by resistive power lines for energy sharing. The network also integrates dynamic point selection (DPS) CoMP technique for selecting the best serving BSS for an user equipment. The objective of the proposed cooperation is to maximize the usage of renewable solar energy leading to reduced on-grid power consumption. The proposed energy cooperation among BSS exploits the tempospatial diversities of both the renewable energy generation and the traffic demand. Monte Carlo based simulations are carried out for analyzing the energy efficiency (EE) performance of the proposed network. Simulation results validate the proposed inter- BS cooperation demonstrating substantial energy savings.</p

This paper proposes a novel framework for PV-powered cellular networks with a standby grid supply and an essential energy management technique for achieving envisaged green networks. The proposal considers an emerging cellular network architecture employing two types of coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission techniques for serving the subscribers. Under the proposed framework, each base station (BS) is powered by an individual PV solar energy module having an independent storage device. BSs are also connected to the conventional grid supply for meeting additional energy demand. We also propose a dynamic inter-BS solar energy sharing policy through a transmission line for further greening the proposed network by minimizing the consumption from the grid supply. An extensive simulation-based study in the downlink of a Long-Term Evolution (LTE) cellular system is carried out for evaluating the energy efficiency performance of the proposed framework. System performance is also investigated for identifying the impact of various system parameters including storage factor, storage capacity, solar generation capacity, transmission line loss, and different CoMP techniques.Comment: 14 pages, International Journal of Photoenergy, 6189468, 201
