Sociologically, literature can not be understood wholly and comprehensively if they are separated from the background of community. Becaouse between literature and the condition of author has dialectics relationship. It means that language can not appreared without contexs whice caused the expression of social-culture\u27s condition and a history of author\u27s background. Because, between language and culture have dialectica\u27s relationship, both of them can not be separate or language is aculture reflection and aculture phenomenon which language used

Day to day, it is known that people are giving importance to nutrition their diets in terms of health. Whether or not the materials used in the production of food are natural, the amount used in production and effect on human health have become more important. In this study, low-fat ice cream was produced with rich composition carob molasses (pekmez), which has a positive contribution to nutrition, and the effect on ice cream was investigated. Physical and chemical analysis results of ice cream, pH 6,31, dry matter 27,23%, fat 3,50%, protein 3,86%, overrun 18,99% and viscosity (10 rpm-20 rpm-50 rpm) 11.840, 6.560, 3.344 cP, was found. As a result, a new product has been made which can be used in ice cream production of carob molasses

Validation and Experimental Evaluation of Magnetorheological Brake-by-Wire System

Magnetorheological brake is one of x-by-wire system which is performing better than conventional brake system. MR brake consists of a rotating disc that is immersed with magnetorheological fluid in an enclosure of an electromagnetic coil. The applied magnetic field will increase the yield strength of the MR fluid where this fluid was used to decrease the speed of the rotating shaft. The purpose of this paper is to develop a mathematical model to represent MR brake with a test rig. The MR brake model is developed based on actual torque characteristic which is coupled with motion of a test rig. Next, the experimental are performed using MR brake test rig and obtained three output responses known as angular velocity response, torque and load displacement. Furthermore, the MR brake was subjected to various loads and current. Finally, the simulation results of MR brake model are verified with experimental results

The situation of Sungai Sengkuang becomes worse because it is under tidal influence. Flood was reduced after removing the temporary culvert. Analysis is carried out for the existing system to investigate whether it is still able to accommodate the volume of water comprises the discharge from upstream and high tide from downstream. The computer program such as HEC-HMS 2.2.2 will be used to carry out the Hydrologic Model Calibration. By using HEC-RAS, Hydraulic Model Calibration will be carried out for the channel. The discharge with different ARI will be used as the upstream boundary condition during the flow analysis. Frequency analysis for the tide level which is collected from JUPEM. The tide level with different ARI is used as the downstream boundary condition. From the Energy Grade Line of the channel, which energy is dominant, the energy from downstream or the energy from upstream. Keywords: tidal influence; dominant energy; flow analysis; hydraulic and hydrology model analysi

Dengue fever is a disease develops in subtropic and tropic areas an has become and arboviral disease in human. There are many factors affecting the prevalence of the dengue fever disease : host, environment and the virus itself. Most of the dengue fever cases found in the are Tempe District of witch majority. The were 116 dengue fever patients in 2007 and increased to 123 patients in 2007 and The aim of the study was the risk factor between knoeledge of the community, attitudes, acts, reservoirs and physical environment with prevalence of dengue fever at district Tempe. The study was observasional using risk factor study and conducted at the in Tempe district. Wajo town, South Sulawesi. The number of samples was 204 respondent selec-ted by systematic random sampling using Lemeshow formula. The data were analyzed statisti-cally using univariate, bivariate with chi square and multivariate with logistic regretion at the leved of significance p < o,25. The results of the study indicate that knowledge (OR=5,046, 95% CI; 2,668-9,548); attitudes (OR=1,347,95% CI; 0,750-2,419); aets (OR=4,379, 95% CI; 2,343-8,182); reservoirs (OR=6,913, 95% CI; 3,947-15,416). Are risk factors in the incident of dengue fever. The most dominant factor affecting the incidence of dengue fever below physicall environments (OR=4,280). It is recommended to use media and counseling effectively to cha-nge the behavior of the community in preventing the prevalence of dengue fever. Key Words : Knowledge, Attitude, Aet, Reservoir Condition, Physical Environmen

A novel Multi-permittivity Cylindrical Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Wideband Applications

    Get PDF
In this paper, a novel multi-permittivity cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna for wideband application is presented. The multi-permittivity cylinder is formed by combining two different permittivity material sectors in such a way that each sector (with constant permittivity) is 90 degree apart. A direct microstrip line coupling terminated with T-stub at the open end is used to excite the multi-permittivity cylindrical dielectric resonator. The angular position of the multi sector dielectric resonator with respect to the longitudinal axis of the microstrip line and length of the additional strip at the open end of the feeding circuit is key parameters for wideband operation of the antenna. By optimizing all parameters of the proposed antenna, wideband impedance bandwidth of 56% (12.1 GHz - 21.65 GHz) is achieved. The average gain of the antenna throughout the bandwidth is 5.9 dB with good radiation properties in both E-plane and H-plane. A well matched simulation and experimental results show that the antenna is suitable for wideband applications
