    Get PDF
Bankruptcy prediction of economic institutions is considered a necessary matter at the present time in order to avoid the risks that may drive such institutions out of business. Given such fact, the current study was made to highlight the intellectual aspects of the subject of bankruptcy prediction and means of measuring it. There are five main types of models for predicting companies bankruptcy: one-way analysis of variance, multiple discriminant analysis, logarithmic analysis, recurrent algorithm analysis, and finally neural networks analysis, which is the most recent bankruptcy prediction method. These methods do not produce similar results. Most bankruptcy prediction studies used multiple discriminant analysis (MDA) and statistical methods for models development. These studies covered both large and small companies as well as private and public companies. MDA is the essence of this research paper which deals with Altman Model in detail and describes the changes that the original Z-Score equation has gone through. The study problem lies in arranging Altman Models for bankruptcy prediction of commercial companies in Iraq in accordance with the importance of each model

[EN] This search aims to study the extent to which Psychological Contract Breach affects and produces Emotional Exhaustion amongst employees through the emergence of a state of procrastination at the level of a sample of daily wage employees in the Colleges of Karbala University in Iraq. The study adopted the measures devised by Suazo (2009) to measure the Psychological Contract Breach and Violation, Strunk et al. (2013) to measure Job Procrastination, and Lewin and Sager (2009) to measure Emotional Exhaustion. The study鈥檚 sample consisted of 309 individuals. Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression, and path analysis were used to test the hypotheses, and a number of conclusions were reached. Most importantly, the feeling among employees of Psychological Contract Breach, in turn leading to an increase in their levels of emotional exhaustion, has been explained in detail with the identification of the most important treatments to reduce Psychological Contract Breach in order to reduce the negative results arising from it.[ES] La investigaci贸n pretende estudiar la medida en la cual el incumplimiento del contrato psicol贸gico afecta a los empleados y les genera agotamiento emocional por medio de la emergencia de un estado de procrastinaci贸n a nivel de una muestra de empleados con salario diario en facultades de la Universidad de Kerbala en Irak.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the kinematics in humans during stair climbing and the influence of stair slope variation on gait cycle .The analysis of biomechanical aspect involved in stair ascent and descent can add to our understanding of the diverse and complicated processes involved in human locomotion and also be useful in the design of private and public environments where stairs are employed. Another application is in the field of gait rehabilitation. A comprehensive movement analysis of stair climbing can support the evaluation of joint replacement or prostheses development. A staircase was developed and designed that allowed the collection of kinematic data for multiple steps at different staircase inclinations. All components are characterized by a robust design which minimizes vibrations. Subjects ascended and descended a four-step staircase at three different inclinations (24掳, 30掳, and 42掳). Kinematics was analyzed by a camera-based optoelectronic system. The data were further processed using kinovea and origin pro.8.5 softwares. Hip, knee and ankle kinematics in sagittal plane during stair ascent and descent were reported. Temporal gait cycle parameters were significantly affected by staircase inclination but Joint angles showed a relatively low but significant dependency on the inclination. This study presents a normative database, which could be used as reference data for assessment of stair locomotion

Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Apolipoprotein E3 Lipid Nanodiscs

Nanodiscs are binary discoidal complexes of a phospholipid bilayer circumscribed by belt-like helical scaffold proteins. Using coarse-grained and all-atom molecular dynamics simulations, we explore the stability, size, and structure of nanodiscs formed between the N-terminal domain of apolipoprotein E3 (apoE3-NT) and variable number of 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DMPC) molecules. We study both parallel and antiparallel double-belt configurations, consisting of four proteins per nanodisc. Our simulations predict nanodiscs containing between 240 and 420 DMPC molecules to be stable. The antiparallel configurations exhibit an average of 1.6 times more amino acid interactions between protein chains and 2 times more ionic contacts, compared to the parallel configuration. With one exception, DMPC order parameters are consistently larger in the antiparallel configuration than in the parallel one. In most cases, the root mean square deviation of the positions of the protein backbone atoms is smaller in the antiparallel configuration. We further report nanodisc size, thickness, radius of gyration, and solvent accessible surface area. Combining all investigated parameters, we hypothesize the antiparallel protein configuration leading to more stable and more rigid nanodiscs than the parallel one

The category of setting and infrastructure indicator (SI) is chosen in this comparative study referring to the fact file scores obtained by the University of Babylon during the last four participations into the UI Green Metric Rankings. In general, the scores indicated an escalation in the university performance of the whole six sub-indicators of the setting and infrastructure criterion (SI) from 2017-2020. These results confirmed that the university; by its leadership, staff and students, focused on upgrading and developing its infrastructure for setting a green and safe educational environment for most employees and students. That is to achieve a green campus contributing in the global efforts for achieving the UN agenda of SDGs 2015-2030. Furthermore, all practices of university performance coped with its vision, mission, and objective goals of university strategic plan from 2018-2022, which contained the commitments to set up with most of SDGs, especially related to sustainable cities or campuses. The results also showed an ascending and remarkable progress from 2017 to 2020 with an unexpected regression in 2019, which required the development of an improvement plan to address weaknesses, maintain and enhance strengths, to get good results for university in the 2020 edition of UI GreenMetric Ranking.聽Keyword: Green university, practices, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SI, setting and infrastructure indicator, University of Babylon
