Using Color Spaces HSV, YIQ and Comparison in Analysis Hazy Image Quality
Analysis images hazy is difficult problem, thus these images need to determined quality the after dehazing. In this paper, were compared to, HSV, YIQ color spaces, adopted in analyze the dust images. we designed the system captured images which graded for high to very low dusty by using HeNe laser, in these images we calculated the normalize mean square error (NMSE) for each components in HSV, YIQ and RGB color space separately, and the basic components in the structure similarity Index (SSIM) are (contrast, structure and luminance) moreover the mean for all has been calculated. We noted from results spaces, HSV, YIQ chromatic that there is a similarity in analysis of images dusty when compared. This means that the use of any color space gives almost the same results Keywords: The hazy image, contrast, Image quality, Intensity, luminance HSV, YIQ and RGB color spaces. Pelvic ventral hernia repair in a pygopagus conjoint twin
Pelvic ventral hernia repair in a surviving conjoint twin with multiple congenital anomalies that make surgery a challenge. Conjoint twins are a rare. The incidence is reported to be in the range of 1/50 000 to 1/100 000 live births. Of the conjoint twins, 40% are stillborn and an additional one-third die within 24 h of birth. Those who survive through birth and surgical separation may present later in life with a wide range of complex congenital malformations. There are no reports on hernia incidence or hernia repair in surviving conjoint twins. Keywords: conjoint twin, incisional hernia, pelvic hernia, ventral herni
Region of Interest Extraction in 3D Face Using Local Shape Descriptor
Recently, numerous efforts were focused on 3D face models due to its geometrical information and its reliability against pose estimation and identification problems. The major objective of this work is to reduce the massive amount of information contained the entire 3D face image into a distinctive and informative subset interested regions based 3D face analysis systems. The interested regions are represented by nose and eyes regions of frontal and profile 3D images. These regions are detected based on distance to local plan descriptor only which is copes well with profile views of 3D images. The statistical distribution of distance to local plane descriptor is predicted using Gaussian distribution. The framework of the proposed approach involves two modes: training mode and testing mode. In the training mode, a learning process for local shape descriptor related to the interested regions is carried out. The interested regions (nose and eyes) are extracted automatically in the testing mode. The performance evaluation of the proposed approach has been conducted using 3D images taken from GAVADB 3D face database which consists of both frontal and profile views. The proposed approach achieved high detection rate of interested regions for both frontal and profile views
On the stability of the BEK family of rotating boundary-layer flows for power-law fluids
We consider the convective instability of the BEK family of rotating boundary-layer flows for shear-thinning power-law fluids. The Bödewadt, Ekman and von Kármán flows are particular cases within this family. A linear stability analysis is conducted using a Chebyshev polynomial method in order to investigate the effect of shear-thinning fluids on the convective type I (inviscid crossflow) and type II (viscous streamline curvature) modes of instability. The results reveal that an increase in shear-thinning has a universal stabilising effect across the entire BEK family. Our results are presented in terms of neutral curves, growth rates and an analysis of the energy balance. The newly-derived governing equations for both the steady mean flow and unsteady perturbation equations are given in full
Evaluating Serum Calprotectin and Serum Oncostatin M Levels as Diagnostic Markers in Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis Iraqi Patients. Research
Abstract
Introduction: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), comprising Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), presents as chronic gastrointestinal inflammation. Timely diagnosis and effective monitoring are crucial for better outcomes. This study aims to explore serum calprotectin and oncostatin M as potential biomarkers for diagnosing and monitoring CD and UC. Calprotectin, released during inflammation, and oncostatin M, an immune-response cytokine, have shown promise, but their precise role in IBD remains unclear.
Methodology: Using a cross-sectional observational design, the study included 93 IBD patients on biological treatment (50 CD, 43 UC) at Baghdad Teaching Hospital. Demographic data and disease characteristics were collected via interviews, and blood samples were analyzed using specific ELISA kits for calprotectin and oncostatin M levels.
Results: The results demonstrated significantly elevated serum levels of both biomarkers in IBD patients, increasing with disease activity. Significant distinctions were observed among different disease statuses in UC and CD patients.
Conclusion: These findings suggest that serum calprotectin and oncostatin M have potential as practical and non-invasive biomarkers for diagnosing and monitoring IBD. However, further research is required to validate their clinical utility and optimize IBD management
Generating Electricity using PV/FC Hybrid System
A reliable electrical energy supply is a prerequisitefor improving the standard economic and quality of life levels in acountry. As is the case in many countries, it is uneconomical toconnect these villages to the existing grid, the installation of standaloneelectrical power generators has become common practice. Asa result, diesel stand-alone power generators see widespread use inthese remote locales, which, whilst fit for their intended purpose, unfortunately suffer from several drawbacks, including instabilityin regards to everyday oil prices and a number of environmentalissues. The implementation of a PV/FC hybrid power system couldbe one potential alternative to help solve these problems. Therefore, this paper presents PV/FC system control strategies. This study isespecially important in terms of envisioning the future energysupply needs. By using HOMER the proposed control strategiesand suggested components of a PV/FC system would be able toproduce a satisfactory outcome
Measurement of -meson production in CuAu at GeV and UU at GeV
The PHENIX experiment reports systematic measurements at the Relativistic
Heavy Ion Collider of -meson production in asymmetric CuAu collisions
at =200 GeV and in UU collisions at =193
GeV. Measurements were performed via the decay
channel at midrapidity . Features of -meson production
measured in CuCu, CuAu, AuAu, and UU collisions were found to not
depend on the collision geometry, which was expected because the yields are
averaged over the azimuthal angle and follow the expected scaling with
nuclear-overlap size. The elliptic flow of the meson in CuAu,
AuAu, and UU collisions scales with second order participant eccentricity
and the length scale of the nuclear overlap region (estimated with the number
of participating nucleons). At moderate , -meson production measured
in CuAu and UU collisions is consistent with coalescence-model
predictions, whereas at high the production is in agreement with
expectations for in-medium energy loss of parent partons prior to their
fragmentation. The elliptic flow for mesons measured in CuAu and
UU collisions is well described by a (2+1)D viscous-hydrodynamic model with
specific-shear viscosity .Comment: 411 authors from 76 institutions, 16 pages, 12 figures, 9 tables,

Cytogenetic Study of Dental Diagnostic X-ray Workers
Background and Objectives: studying chromosome changes for dental x-ray workers in the city of kut and diagnosing those abnormalities resulting from continuous exposure to radiation. Exposure and Methods: The chromosomes of those exposed to dental X-rays were analyzed and studied using cytogenetic analysis to detect chromosomal aberrations caused by ionizing radiation after collecting blood samples from those exposed to Al-Zahraa and Al-Karama Teaching Hospital as well as from the Taiba Specialized Center in addition to the dental clinics in Wasit. Results: Chromosomal analysis of all subjects showed chromosomal aberrations, and most of the aberrations were structural changes that were divided according to the ratio of their frequencies. The largest percentage was for the gap chromosome type (44%), chromosomal-aberration dicentric (16%) and chromosomal-aberration gab and dicentric (8%). Conclusion: Dental diagnostic x-rays have an effect on the chromosomes of workers exposed to a long-term cumulative exposure period, as it leads to the appearance of aberrations of the type chromosomal aberration (gab chromatid ) is the most frequent in this stuy
