    MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PKN DENGAN MENGUNAKAN METODE DISKUSI DI SMPN 3 MUARA BUNGO

    Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah penerapan metode diskusi dapat meningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Muara Bungo pada mata pelajaran PKn pokok bahasan keadaulatan rakyat. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Muara Bungo dengan menerapkan metode diskusi pada mata pelajaran PKn. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas VIII maka yang harus diakukan adalah observasi awal, untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal yang dimiliki siswa sebelum digunakan metode diskusi dalam proses pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang menghasilkan data-data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan prilaku yang diamati. Sesuai dengan tujuan dalam penelitian ini maka metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Untuk lebih mengakuratkan hasil yang diperoleh, maka setelah akhir setiap tindakan, peneliti melakukan evaluasi terhadap hal-hal yang telah dilaksanakan. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini  adalah berupa data yang diperoleh data hasil observasi kegiatan guru dan kegiatan siswa. Hasil tingkat kemampuan siswa bekerjasama dalam kelompok pada saat belajar Kewarganegaraan dengan menggunakan metode diskusi pada kelas VIII1 adalah terkatagori “Sangat Baik” dengan persentase sebesar  93,43%, dan Hasil tingkat kemampuan siswa bekerjasama dalam kelompok pada saat belajar Kewarganegaraan dengan menggunakan metode diskusi pada kelas VIII2 adalah terkatagori “Sangat Baik” dengan persentase sebesar  93,43%,. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Muara Bungo.    &nbsp

    INTELIGENSI DAN BAKAT SERTA IMPLIKASINYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN

           This study aims to determine the differences that exist in individuals viewed from the aspect of intelligence, talent and implications in learning. Individual differences are a gift given by God to humans, where between one individual and another there must be differences. It is very important for educators to understand the differences that exist in students. By knowing the causes that influence individual differences, educators can provide equal treatment to students. The method used is a literature study by processing and analyzing a number of relevant literature. Data were analyzed, grouped, and interpreted to determine the factors that influence individual differences. The results show that individual differences based on intelligence, talent in learning are a concern for educators in developing the potential that exists in students, this needs to also be supported by parents of students so that students are more enthusiastic in learning, channeling the talents of students, and how to respond to individual differences who have different intelligence and talents in learning in the school environment.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang ada pada individu dilihat dari aspek intelegensi, bakat  dan implikasinya dalam  pembelajaran. Perbedaan individu merupakan suatu anugrah yang diberikan tuhan kepada manusia, dimana antara individu yang satu dengan individu yang lainnya pasti memiliki perbedaan. Penting sekali bagi pendidik untuk memahami perbedaan yang ada pada peserta didik. Dengan mengetahui penyebab yang mempengaruhi perbedaan individu pendidik bisa memberikan perlakuan yang sama terhadap peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan mengolah dan menganalisis dari sejumlah literatur yang relevan. Data dianalisis, dikelompokkan, dan diinterpretasikan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perbedaan individu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan individu berdasarkan intelegensi, bakat dalam pembelajaran menjadi perhatian bagi pendidik dalam mengembangkan potensi yang ada pada peserta didik, hal ini perlu juga didukung oleh orang tua peserta didik agar peserta didik lebih antusias dalam pembelajaran, menyalurkan bakat yang dimiliki peserta didik, serta bagaimana cara menyikapi perbedaan individu yang memiliki intelegensi dan bakat yang berbeda dalam pembelajaran dilingkungan sekolah

    The problems that often arise in the learning process in class VII 1 SMP Pertiwi Padang showed low student participation. In working groups, many students who do not participate in the learning process, which the teacher. Cooperation between them, their peers in a group such as an opinion. So that the classroom atmosphere during the learning process becomes rigid, ineffective and boring for students. To overcome this teacher trying to implement an effective method of learning in the subjects of Citizenship Education. Such a way that can help students to participate during the learning process. Using a model of cooperative learning type games tournament teams. Formulation of the problem in this study were any obstacles faced by students in the application of cooperative learning model type games tournament teams on the subjects of citizenship education. The analysis showed that: 1) Cooperative learning model type teams tournament games can improve students\u27 ability to  think actively. 2) Model of cooperative learning type games tournament teams can stimulate children to think more actively. This type of study is a qualitative descriptive study, with the entire student population of Pertiwi 1 junior class VII Padang academic year 2011/2012 consisting of two classes. Sample of this study is the class VII.1 and VII.2 class. Based on the results of research and discussion of both classes, it can be concluded that the participation of students in the class of the group collaborated with the percentage of 71.83% VII.1 and VII.2 class with a percentage of 70.41% the result is quite good. His firm from research indicating that by applying a type of learning model kooperatip teams tournament games for Civic Education subjects, the study was conducted in class VII. Pertiwi 1 SMP Padang. So that students are capable of cooperating groups and students to think more actively in teaching and learning Citizenship Education that impact on learning outcomes for Civic Education

    Pengaruh Pendekatan Ctl dengan Soal Open Ended terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Mahasiswa

    The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect contextual teaching and learning approach with open ended question toward creative thinking ability at PGSD STKIP Muhammadiyah Muara Bungo. The Research concept used quantitative research, with pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. This Research population include all members od second semester student which has 4 classes. Meanwhile, two choosen classes made for an example of Research it was Class B and C. Test instruments were used to describe the creative thinking ability question. The founding of the research showed that; 1) The data analysis (average score) shown that student\u27s creative thinking ability for ekperimen class in range very high level, posttest average score is 80,93; 2) for control class in range high level, posttsest average score is 78,40. 3) Contextual teaching and learning approach with open ended question is better than conventional approach toward creative thinking ability

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Game Puzzle Terhadap Hasil Belajar Dasar-Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan Kelas X SMKN 1 Sumedang Media pembelajaran yang selama ini digunakan pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan di SMKN 1 Sumedang masih belum variatif sehingga menyebabkan hasil belajar siswa belum optimal. Berkaitan dengan hal ini peneliti membuat alternatif media pembelajaran yang bisa mendorong minat siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang, mengetahui, dan mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran pada Kompetensi Dasar Prosedur Pemasangan Batu Bata. Media pembelajaran yang dirancang berupa game edukasi dengan tipe puzzle dengan teknik kerja problem solving dan penguatan ingatan. Pengembangan media pembelajaran ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan sample penelitiannya adalah 31 siswa di kelas X- DPIB 3 SMKN 1 Sumedang. Penelitian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran yang layak digunakan setelah divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Siswa antusias dan merespons positif terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran dengan game puzzle karena dapat membantu siswa belajar secara mandiri. Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media pembelajaran ini. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran game puzzle yang dikembangkan berada di kategori baik dan layak digunakan sebagai media alternatif yang dapat membantu proses pembelajaran berjalan efektif dan siswa mampu menggunakan media pembelajaran game puzzle dengan baik pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Konstruksi Bangunan di SMKN 1 Sumedang. Kata Kunci : Media Pembelajaran, Game Puzzle, Hasil Belajar Siswa Puzzle Game Development as a Learning Media in Learning Outcomes of Building Construction Basics of tenth grade students at SMKN 1 Sumedang The use of learning media in Building Construction Basics subject at SMKN 1 Sumedang were still not varied, it caused student learning outcomes to be not optimal. The researcher made alternative learning media that could encourage students' interest in the learning process. This research was aimed to design, find out, and implement learning media in the Basic Competence of Brick Installation Procedures. Learning media designed was puzzle as educational game with problem solving work technique and memory reinforcement. The research and development method was employed in developing the learning media. A purposive sampling technique was conveyed in order to collect the data with the participants of this research were 31 tenth grade students in DPIB 3 class of SMKN 1 Sumedang. This research showed that learning media were suitable to use after being validated by media experts and material experts. The students were more enthusiastic and respond positively to the use of learning media with puzzle games because it could help them to learn independently. The student learning outcomes showed the improvement both before and after using this learning media. Thus the use of puzzle as a learning media were in the good and suitable category as an alternative media that could help the learning process and the students were able to use the puzzle well in the Basics of Building Construction subject at SMKN 1 Sumedang Keywords: Learning Media, Puzzle Games, Student Learning Outcome

    Local travelling wave solutions and self-similar solutions for a green roof model

    In this thesis we study travelling wave solutions and self-similar solutions for a green roof model and for some simpler models which are derived from that model. We focus on two limiting cases near a dry region and near a saturated region. We start by considering a convection model in the absence of diffusion and sink terms. We show that rarefaction waves and shock solutions exist for several cases. Next, we consider a convection-diffusion model where both the convective and diffusive terms are present and we show that travelling wave solutions and self-similar solutions exist for some cases. Moreover, numerical simulations are used for the travelling wave and self-similar solutions and confirm the analytic predictions. Finally, we consider the green roof model where all terms are present and we show that travelling wave solutions exist, whereas self-similar solutions are not found. We also show the travelling wave solutions exist for the two limiting cases

    Sedimentation Characteristics of Kaolin and Bentonite in Concentrated Solutions

    The sedimentation characteristics of two clays, namely kaolinite and bentonite, were determinated at high clay (5 % wt/vol) and electrolyte (1 N) concentrations using various inorganic-organic compounds. It was observed that the settling behaviour of kaolinite (1:1 clay) and montmorillonite (2:1 clay) is quite different due to the structural differences between these minerals. Although, similar initial settling rates and final sediment volumes were obtained after 24 hours of settling time for kaolin suspensions, the corresponding rates and volumes for bentonite suspensions varied greatly with the used chemical compound. According to the experimental results, a further intensive theoretical and experimental investigation is needed to reveal the mechanism underlying the sedimentation characteristics of clay minerals at high clay and electrolyte concentrations
