Pengaruh Ethical Ideology Terhadap Ethical Judgements Pada Mahasiswa Akuntansi

Ethical judgement is the process by which an individual determines that one of the alternatives is morally right and the other alternative is morally wrong. This capability is very important and needed by each individual in performing their duties. This study aims to analyze the effect of ethical ideology towards ethical judgments, ethical ideology consist of idealism and relativism. This study was conducted in 2015. The data was collected using a questionnaire. The population of this study were students Accounting Profession in Semarang city and the sample using simple random sampling technique. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and the Kruskal-Wallis test. Statistical analysis showed that idealism and relativism has significant effect on ethical judgments. The results indicate that the ethical ideology have a significant effect on ethical judgments, where idealism has a positive significant and relativism has a negative significant. And it is known that the group absolutist judge stricter than the other groups

Prevalence of motile Aeromonads in chicken meat and their growth during refrigeration storage

    Get PDF
The presence of motile aeromonads in chicken meat from the local wet markets was studied. The finding showed that 83.3% of the meat was positive for motile Aeromonas. The most frequently isolated species was Aeromonas sobria (57.0%), followed by A. hydrophila (23.0%) and A. caviae (20.0%). The Aeromonas sp. count at time of purchase which was in the range of 13 x 102 /g to 23 x 103/g, was found to increase about 10 to 100- fold after seven days of refrigeration at 5°C

A cross-sectional study of hypertensive outpatients to determine the necessity of asking about erectile dysfunction symptoms.

    Get PDF
Background: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is common amongst hypertensive men. Hypertensive patients often attribute it to antihypertensive drugs, although conflicting evidence linking ED with antihypertensive medication exists. The objectives were to determine the prevalence and severity of ED, the type of treatment sought, and the risk factors for ED among hypertensive men. Method: A cross-sectional survey conducted over six months from June to November 2008 at University Kebangsaan, Malaysia Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Inclusion criteria included hypertensive men above 30 years old, with essential hypertension for at least three months. We excluded diabetics, a history of pelvic surgery and known psychiatric illnesses. The International Index of Erectile Function-5 (IIEF-5) assessment was used with a standardised checklist. We analysed data using SPSS, to assess the prevalence and association of ED with selected variables. Results: Of the 200 participants screened, 35.5% perceived that they had ED. However, prevalence increased to 69% after screening using an IIEF-5 questionnaire. Forty-eight per cent were reported to have moderate-tosevere ED. ED was significantly associated with age (p-value = 0.0001). No significant associations were found between ED and the duration of the hypertension (p-value = 0.505), hypertension control (p-value > 0.05), smoking status (p-value = 0.858) or number of antihypertensive medication taken (p-value > 0.05). Among perceived and proven ED patients, traditional medicines were mainly used for treatment (18.3% and 17.2% respectively). Conclusion: ED is a problem among hypertensive patients. It was associated with age but not with hypertension duration, control, number of antihypertensive drugs or smoking. Physicians should enquire about ED symptoms in hypertensive patients, as most of them resorted to self-treatment with traditional medicines

PID Controller for Batch Process using MATLAB-Simulink-Real-Time-Windows Target

    Get PDF
The difficulties in implementing a controller in the real process leads to the practice of a real-time user-friendly simulator programming. This paper presents the application of the Simulink model as a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for signal visualization and parameter tuning in the real-time implementations

Disease Conditions in Farm and Smallholder Buffaloes of Serdang, Malaysia

    Get PDF
Analysis of records revealed that there were no significant differences in the number of disease Conditions between buffaloes of the smallholders and Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) farm, and between the calves and adult buffaloes of both groups. Significant differences were, however, observed on the type of disease conditions involved. The differences were probably associated with the system of management

Taguchi method for development of mass flow rate correlation using hydrocarbon refrigerant mixture in capillary tube

    Get PDF
The capillary tube is an important control device used in small vapor compression refrigeration systems such as window air-conditioners, household refrigerators and freezers. This paper develops a non-dimensional correlation based on the test results of the adiabatic capillary tube for the mass flow rate through the tube using a hydrocarbon refrigerant mixture of 89.3% propane and 10.7% butane (HCM). The Taguchi method, a statistical experimental design approach, was employed. This approach explores the economic benefit that lies in studies of this nature, where only a small number of experiments are required and yet valid results are obtained. Considering the effects of the capillary tube geometry and the inlet condition of the tube, dimensionless parameters were chosen. The new correlation was also based on the Buckingham Pi theorem. This correlation predicts 86.67% of the present experimental data within a relative deviation of -10% to +10%. The predictions by this correlation were also compared with results in published literature
