GEARTE – fórum (aberto) aos diálogos entre arte e educação

To honor the majority age of GEARTE, I wrote this text, based on an essay by the Brazilian philosopher Sílvio Gallo (2017), which anchored in Félix Guattari (2012), defends the aesthetic paradigm articulated to the ethical, political, philosophical and scientific assigning to Education an Artistic character. It makes the work of art / education denser in the face of the uncertainties that challenge us in contemporaneity. GEARTE Journal, especially, through its publications, seeks to meet this challenge.Para homenagear a maioridade do GEARTE elaborei este texto, tomando como referência um ensaio do filósofo brasileiro Sílvio Gallo (2017), que ancorado em Félix Guattari (2012), defende o paradigma estético articulado ao ético, ao político, ao filosófico e ao científico atribuindo à Educação um caráter de Arte. O que torna o trabalho de arte/educar mais denso frente às incertezas que nos desafiam na contemporaneidade. A Revista GEARTE, especialmente, por meio de suas publicações busca enfrentar tal desafio

Strategies of Chemical Protection for Controlling Soybean Rust

Asian soybean rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi) is an aggressive and destructive disease that undermines the current 34 million hectares of soybean production system in Brazil. The disease is present throughout the entire cultivated area. The disease control has required a combination of several practices in order to avoid losses. In the last 15 harvests, the application of fungicides has been shown as an effective alternative for the producer in the control of this aggressive disease. Since the first fungicides emergency recommended for the 2002/03 season (azoxystrobin, difenoconazole, fluconazole, pyraclostrobin + epoxiconazole, and tebuconazole), a large number of new formulations were added to the arsenal to control rust. There are today recorded in MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture and Supply) about 45 active ingredients (alone or in combination are about 120), trademarks, and formulations for the rational use against rust. Among fungicides, there are differences in efficacy, residual period, metabolic stability, and translocation rate, requiring care from the producer and technical assistance in the choice of the product to be used in each situation. In this review, the chemical control of rust is analyzed in Brazil from 2001/02 to 2013/14; its economic importance, strategic variables for the rational fungicides practice, factors that complicate the chemical control and the risk of resistance to the main chemical groups

Otimização da produção de biodiesel a partir de óleo de coco babaçu com aquecimento por microondas

As reações sob aquecimento por microondas geralmente apresentam significativa redução no tempo de reação e elevados rendimentos. Portanto, o objetivo desse trabalho foi adaptar um forno de microondas doméstico de forma adequada e segura para realização de reações de transesterificação, e otimizar o processo de produção de biodiesel por microondas usando óleo de coco babaçu como matéria prima. Para este fim, foi usado um planejamento composto central no qual se variou o tempo de irradiação, concentração de KOH e razão óleo:metanol. Análises estatísticas foram feitas para avaliarem a significância do modelo usado. As condições experimentais ótimas foram: razão óleo:metanol, 8,59, concentração de KOH, 2,19%, tempo de irradiação, 70 segundos, dando rendimento de aproximadamente 100%.Reactions under microwave heating present reduced reaction times and larger yields. Therefore, this work is aimed at adapting a domestic microwave oven and optimizing the transesterification reaction used in biodiesel production with microwave heating, using babaçu coconut oil as raw material. It was used a central composite design for varying irradiation time, KOH concentration, and oil:methanol ratio. Statistical analyses were performed in order to assess the significance of the model used. The optimized experimental conditions were: oil:methanol ratio, 8.59; KOH concentration, 2.19 %; and irradiation time, 70 seconds, giving an yield of approximately 100% regarding esters formation.FAPEM

Abordagem Triangular: leitura de imagens de diferentes códigos estéticos e culturais

We start in this text, an understanding of the Triangular Approach as a theory of interpretation of the universe of arts and cultures visual affiliated to post-colonial theory. The text is organized in four articulated topics. In the first topic, we introduce the Triangular Approach as an open theory, non-linear, which invites the art/educator into the gesture of redesigning. The second topic, we argue about the affiliation of the Triangular Approach to the post-colonial theory, emphasizing that the aesthetic dimension interconnects to the cultural dimension and that both are political. In the third topic, we deal with a version of the history of the Triangular Approach, highlighting the changes driven by such a theory in the field of national art/education. Finally, in the fourth topic, by way of conclusion, we argue that the Triangular Approach caused a more specific twist in the arts and visual cultures and, in the broader field of national art/education, defending the decolonization, proposing the democratization of art, its teaching and its history as a right for everyone.Partimos, neste texto, de uma compreensão da Abordagem Triangular como teoria de interpretação do universo das artes e culturas visuais filiada à teoria pós-colonialista. O texto está organizado em quatro tópicos articulados. No primeiro tópico, apresentamos a Abordagem Triangular como uma teoria aberta, não linear, que convida o arte/educador ao gesto de reelaborar. No segundo tópico, tratamos de argumentar sobre a filiação da Abordagem Triangular à teoria pós-colonial, ressaltando que a dimensão estética se interliga à dimensão cultural e que ambas são políticas. No terceiro tópico, tratamos de uma versão da história da Abordagem Triangular, pondo em destaque as transformações impulsionadas por tal teoria no campo da arte/educação nacional. Finalmente, no quarto tópico, à guisa de conclusão, argumentamos que a Abordagem Triangular provocou uma torção mais específica nas artes e culturas visuais e, também, no campo da arte/educação nacional, defendendo a descolonização e propondo a democratização da arte, seu ensino e sua história como direito de todos.
