    Improving Student’s Discipline Through Islamic Education Management

    At Islamic boarding schools, student’s discipline education is the most effective method of education. As a result, everyone involved in Islamic boarding schools, including students, teachers, and Islamic Boarding School caretakers, must uphold discipline education. The discipline is divided into several categories: manners, cleanliness, worship, language, boarding, dress, exercise, and language. Everything must be strictly followed from the moment students officially join the Islamic Boarding School. Baitul Qur'an Pringsewu Islamic Boarding School is one example of a boarding school that can incorporate discipline education into daily life. This study takes a descriptive research approach. This study lacks a hypothesis because it is not intended to test hypotheses that have been developed to be rejected or accepted, but rather to collect data to describe the actual situation in the field. It runs smoothly and effectively, based on the findings of Islamic education management research into improving student’s discipline at the Baitul Qur'an Pringsewu Islamic Boarding School

    TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadien applies the Qiro'ati Method in teaching the Qur'an. TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadien, in managing its institution, implements Total Quality Management to produce quality graduates. This study aimed to determine the implementation of TQM in TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadien Jlamprang Wonosobo. This study uses qualitative methods and field research that focuses on the problem of implementing TQM in TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadien and the nature of analytical descriptive research. The research location is at TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadien which is on Jalan Karya Tralis 3 No. 1, Jlamprang Village, Wonosobo District, Wonosobo Regency. The research time is from November 2021 to February 2022. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using data documentation, data reduction, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadien applies the concept of Total Quality Management in managing the institution. TPQ Hidayatul Mubtadien implements the values ​​of TQM in managing institutions in the following ways: Focus on Customers, Obsession with Quality, Scientific Approach, Long-term commitment, Teamwork for continuous improvement, Education and Training, Controlled Freedom, and Unity of Purpose

    Pengaruh Teknik Assertive Training terhadap Rasa Percaya Diri Siswa

    The lack of self-confidence can hinder the development of students. The aim of this research is to find out whether assertive training techniques effect on students' self-confidence at MTs Negeri 1 Palembang. The method used in this research is a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study was class VIII students at MTs N 1 Palembang with a sample of 10% of the total number of class VIII students, namely there were 30 samples. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire and observation. This study focuses on the effect of assertive training on students' self-confidence. From the results of data analysis, the average pre-test 74.83 and the average post-test is 77.7. Tcount is -4.735 with a Ttable value of 2.045. The results obtained indicate an increase in the average value after the post-test. Thus, it can be concluded that the assertive training influences increasing the confidence of the students of MTs N 1 Palembang

    Effective management of emergency funds is needed during the global Covid-19 pandemic, which is currently happening in almost all corners of the world. This pandemic has an impact on sluggish economic activity which demands immediate solutions for improvements, both from a normative and practical side. Education related to emergency funds in order to increase public knowledge can be an urgent solution to be carried out immediately. One of the potential elements of society that is rarely developed to be used as a solution for economic improvement in the pandemic era is the youth because the majority of youth do not yet have an unstable income so they are vulnerable to being economically affected during the pandemic. The purpose of this program is to assist the management of emergency funds during a pandemic, both with online entrepreneurship development and effective investment arrangements. 68 young man from Solo and around are participate in this program. The method used in the implementation of the program is technical assistants by opening online classes with sources from academics and practitioners. This method consists of the preparation stage with coordination, the implementation stage with the creation of a curriculum, the execution of webinars and observations and the evaluation stage. This program collaborates with the NGO Solo Bersimfoni as an organization that cares for Indonesia's young generation. The expected benefit from this program is increased knowledge regarding the management of emergency funds in times of a global pandemic which is needed in order to rebuild a stable economy during and after a pandemic. The result of this program is the transfer of financial management knowledge to young people, especially students around Solo Raya. The conclusion obtained from the implementation of the post-program survey is that care is still needed to teach financial independence during the pandemic for youth. Pengelolaan dana darurat yang efektif diperlukan dalam masa pandemi global Covid-19 yang saat ini sedang terjadi hampir di seluruh pelosok dunia. Pandemi ini berdampak pada lesunya aktivitas perekonomian yang menuntut untuk segera diadakan perbaikan yang solutif, baik dari sisi normatif maupun sisi praktis. Edukasi terkait dana darurat dalam rangka meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat dapat menjadi salah satu solusi yang urgen untuk segera dilakukan. Salah satu elemen masyarakat yang potensial namun jarang dikembangkan untuk dijadikan solusi perbaikan perekonomian di era pandemi adalah para pemuda karena mayoritas pemuda belum memiliki pendapatan yang tidak stabil sehingga rentan terdampak secara ekonomi dalam masa pandemi. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk mendampingi pengelolaan dana darurat di masa pandemi, baik dengan pengembangan kewirausahaan secara online maupun penyusunan investasi secara efektif. Sebanyak 68 partisipan yang sebagian besar adalah pemuda dari Solo sekitar mengikuti pengabdian ini secara online. Metode yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian merupakan technical assistants dengan membuka kelas online dengan narasumber dari pihak akademisi maupun pihak praktisi. Metode ini terdiri dari tahap persiapan dengan koordinasi, tahap pelaksanaan dengan pembuatan kurikulum, eksekusi webinar dan observasi serta tahap evaluasi. Program ini menggandeng LSM Solo Bersimfoni sebagai salah satu organisasi yang peduli terhadap generasi muda Indonesia. Manfaat yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya pengetahuan terkait pengelolaan dana darurat di masa pandemi global yang dibutuhkan dalam rangka membangun kembali perekonomian yang stabil selama dan pasca pandemi. Hasil pengabdian yakni terlaksananya transfer pengetahuan manajemen keuangan kepada para pemuda terutama mahasiswa di sekitar Solo Raya. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari pelaksanaan survey pasca pengabdian adalah masih diperlukan kepedulian untuk mengajar pada independensi keuangan di masa pandemi bagi para pemuda

    Perspektif Guru Terhadap Kemahiran Berfikir Aras Tinggi dalam Kalangan Pelajar

    Kajian ini dijalankan bagi meneroka perspektif guru berkaitan kemahiran berfikir aras tinggi (KBAT) dalam kalangan pelajar. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah temubual separa berstruktur yang melibatkan seorang guru yang berpengalaman. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam kajian ini terdiri daripada protocol temubual dan komputer riba. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa KBAT dalam kalangan pelajar masih perlu diperkasakan dan dipengaruhi oleh perbezaan tahap sosioekonomi dan jenis sekolah. Faktor pelajar, alat bantu mengajar, dan keadaan bilik darjah didapati mempengaruhi pemilihan strategi pengajaran bagi memupuk KBAT dalam kalangan pelajar. Hasil kajian turut mendapati bahawa teknik menyoal boleh digunakan bagi meningkatkan KBAT dalam kalangan pelajar, manakala pemberian soalan KBAT secara konsisten, penggunaan kaedah pembelajaran abad ke-21 (PAK21) dan pemberian tugasan berkumpulan boleh digunakan untuk menggalakkan aplikasi KBAT ketika pelajar menghadapi penilaian. Dapatan kajian turut menunjukkan bahawa kekangan masa dan faktor pelajar yang tidak aktif memberikan cabaran kepada guru untuk memupuk KBAT dalam kalangan pelajar. Sebagai implikasi, semua pihak perlu memainkan peranan yang sewajarnya dalam usaha meningkatkan KBAT dalam kalangan pelajar agar matlamat pendidikan dapat direalisasikan. Teachers' Perspectives on Higher Order Thinking Skills Among Students Abstract: This study was conducted to explore the perspectives of teachers related to high -level thinking skills (HLTS) among students. This study used a semi -structured interview method involving an experienced teacher. The instruments used in this study consisted of an interview protocol and a laptop. The results of the study found that HOTS among students still need to be empowered and influenced by differences in socioeconomic levels and types of schools. Student factors, teaching aids, and classroom conditions were found to influence the selection of teaching strategies to foster HOTS among students. The study also found that questioning techniques can be used to improve KBAT among students, while giving KBAT questions consistently, the use of 21st century learning methods (PAK21) and group assignments can be used to encourage the application of KBAT when students face assessment. The findings of the study also show that time constraints and inactive student factors provide a challenge to teachers to cultivate HOTS among students. As an implication, all parties need to play an appropriate role in efforts to improve HOTS among students so that educational goals can be realized.     Research landscape of energy transition and green finance: A bibliometric analysis

    This study utilizes bibliometric analysis to examine historical and present research patterns in the area of energy transition and green finance and to forecast potential future domains. Using the bibliometric method, 328 scholarly articles from the Web of Science database were evaluated. This paper identifies influential publications, maps the research landscape, and forecasts emerging tendencies through co-citation and co-word analyses. Co-citation analysis found three main clusters, while co-word analysis revealed four main clusters. Despite the growing significance of research on energy transition and green finance research, further in-depth investigation is necessary to offer a thorough depiction of the research domain. This research represents a pioneering endeavour in the utilization of bibliometric analysis to investigate the interrelationship between two items. It offers valuable insights into the rapidly expanding field of energy transition and green finance, effectively highlighting its contours and indicating potential future developments

    Impact of primary kidney disease on the effects of empagliflozin in patients with chronic kidney disease: secondary analyses of the EMPA-KIDNEY trial

    Background: The EMPA KIDNEY trial showed that empagliflozin reduced the risk of the primary composite outcome of kidney disease progression or cardiovascular death in patients with chronic kidney disease mainly through slowing progression. We aimed to assess how effects of empagliflozin might differ by primary kidney disease across its broad population. Methods: EMPA-KIDNEY, a randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial, was conducted at 241 centres in eight countries (Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the UK, and the USA). Patients were eligible if their estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was 20 to less than 45 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or 45 to less than 90 mL/min per 1·73 m2 with a urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR) of 200 mg/g or higher at screening. They were randomly assigned (1:1) to 10 mg oral empagliflozin once daily or matching placebo. Effects on kidney disease progression (defined as a sustained ≥40% eGFR decline from randomisation, end-stage kidney disease, a sustained eGFR below 10 mL/min per 1·73 m2, or death from kidney failure) were assessed using prespecified Cox models, and eGFR slope analyses used shared parameter models. Subgroup comparisons were performed by including relevant interaction terms in models. EMPA-KIDNEY is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03594110. Findings: Between May 15, 2019, and April 16, 2021, 6609 participants were randomly assigned and followed up for a median of 2·0 years (IQR 1·5–2·4). Prespecified subgroupings by primary kidney disease included 2057 (31·1%) participants with diabetic kidney disease, 1669 (25·3%) with glomerular disease, 1445 (21·9%) with hypertensive or renovascular disease, and 1438 (21·8%) with other or unknown causes. Kidney disease progression occurred in 384 (11·6%) of 3304 patients in the empagliflozin group and 504 (15·2%) of 3305 patients in the placebo group (hazard ratio 0·71 [95% CI 0·62–0·81]), with no evidence that the relative effect size varied significantly by primary kidney disease (pheterogeneity=0·62). The between-group difference in chronic eGFR slopes (ie, from 2 months to final follow-up) was 1·37 mL/min per 1·73 m2 per year (95% CI 1·16–1·59), representing a 50% (42–58) reduction in the rate of chronic eGFR decline. This relative effect of empagliflozin on chronic eGFR slope was similar in analyses by different primary kidney diseases, including in explorations by type of glomerular disease and diabetes (p values for heterogeneity all >0·1). Interpretation: In a broad range of patients with chronic kidney disease at risk of progression, including a wide range of non-diabetic causes of chronic kidney disease, empagliflozin reduced risk of kidney disease progression. Relative effect sizes were broadly similar irrespective of the cause of primary kidney disease, suggesting that SGLT2 inhibitors should be part of a standard of care to minimise risk of kidney failure in chronic kidney disease.
