Pemberian Citicoline Pada Tikus Cedera Saraf Mentalis: Ekspresi Gen SIRT1 Ganglion Trigeminal: the Administration of Citicoline on Rat Model with Mental Nerve Crush Injury: Gene Expression of Trigeminal Ganglion SIRT1

Cedera saraf perifer menyebabkan jumlah neuron menurun di ganglion sensorik, sehingga regenerasinya tidak baik. Pemberian Citicoline telah dilaporkan dapat memperbaiki kondisi fungsi motorik dan mencegah nyeri neuropati pada model tikus cedera saraf perifer. Pada ganglion sensorik, peningkatan regenerasi terkait dengan SIRT1 yang mendorong kelangsungan hidup neuron. Penelitian ini bertujuam untuk menguji hipotesis bahwa pemberian citicoline meningkatkan ekspresi gen SIRT1 fase akut pada model tikus cedera saraf mentalis. Setelah dianestesi, saraf mentalis kanan dijepit dengan klem tanpa gerigi selama 30 detik. Tikus-tikus dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, kelompok operasi sham, kelompok cedera dan kelompok citicoline. Citicoline diberikan secara i.p. 50 mg/kg BB/hari selama 7 hari. Tikus dinekropsi pada hari ke-1, 3 dan 7 setelah cedera. Pada hari ke-1,3,7 (3 tikus per kelompok), ganglion trigeminal kanan dipotong dan diekstraksi RNA, reverse transcriptase PCR dan qPCR untuk melihat ekspresi gen SIRT1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan ekspresi SIRT1 hari ke-7 setelah cedera saraf mentalis tikus yang diberikan terapi citicoline i.p. Sebagai kesimpulan, pemberian citicolin segera setelah cedera saraf mentalis meningkatkan ekspresi SIRT1 pada hari ke-7

This research aims to calculate Fiscal Needs in Jambi City and analyze the level of dependence on Fiscal relations with the Economic Growth in Jambi and see how much the rate dependence of the Fiscal Jambi City to the Central Government. These results indicate that the Fiscal Needs in Jambi city has increased significantly each year, the average growth of 46.28 %. Local Government Fiscal Dependence level of Jambi City to the Central Government is very High, the average in the past 11 years (2000 s / d 2010) the proportion of PAD to the total of the local revenue obtained an average of 9.6% and the proportion of average fund balance of the total of local revenues obtained an average of 90.4%, The relationship between the level of fiscal dependence with the Economic Growth in Jambi is very low, amounting to only 0.068

The 3 Hours-hydrothermal Synthesis of High Surface Area Super Paramagnetic Fe3o4 Core-shell Nano Particles

THE 3 HOURS-HYDROTHERMAL SYNTHESIS OF HIGH SURFACE AREA SUPER PARAMAGNETIC Fe3O4 CORE-SHELL NANO PARTICLES. The monodisperse core-shell Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by short times (3 hours) hydrothermal method at 220-oC from FeCl3, citrate, urea and PEG. The as-synthesized samples have been characterized using X-RayDiffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Bruneur-Emmet-Teller (BET) surface area analyzer, and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM). The XRD result shows the as-synthesized products are pure Fe3O4 . The TEM image shows the magnetite nanoparticles have monodisperse core-shell shape. The BET result shows the magnetite nanoparticles have 650.757 m2/g surface area. The hysteresis curve shows the magnetite nanoparticles exhibit super paramagnetic properties. This simple method obtained 60 nm core-shell Fe3O4 particles with super paramagnetic, high surface area as well as hydrophilic properties. Those properties are promising for various biomedical application. The advantages of simple and short times methods with high quality of product make this method very promising to be applied

Risk Factors of Chikungunya Fever Outbreak in Batang Toru Sub-district, South Tapanuli District, North Sumatera, 2014

Chikungunya fever is a vector-borne disease with high morbidity rates it caused socioeconomic impact. On 17 January2014, an outbreak of Chikungunya fever was reported in Batang Toru Sub-district, South Tapanuli District, North Sumatera.The total number of cases were 74 with no fatalities. An analytical study with case control design was undertaken todetermine the risk factors of the outbreak. The cases were population with major clinical symptoms of Chikungunya, such asfever, arthralgia, myalgia, rash and headache. Controls were neighbours of the cases who did'nt have clinical symptoms ofchikungunya. The study used bivariate analyses with chi-square and logistic regression (95% confidence level). Somepatient's blood were tested with rapid diagnostic test (RDT) of IgM Chikungunya. The bivariate analysis showed thatvariable associated with the incidence of chikungunya were sleeping without bednets in the morning anf afternoon (p- value:0,000; OR= 4.825, CI= 2.379-9.782) and the mosquitoes larvaes in the water reservoirs around the house (p-value: 0.013;OR=3.837; CI=1.322-11.131). The result of RDT confirmed that two of seven cases were positive for IgM Chikungunya.Outbreak of chikungunya fever was confirmed.
