Approximating a continuously stratified hydrostatic system by the multi-layer shallow water system

In this article we consider the multi-layer shallow water system for the propagation of gravity waves in density-stratified flows, with additional terms introduced by the oceanographers Gent and McWilliams in order to take into account large-scale isopycnal diffusivity induced by small-scale unresolved eddies. We establish a bridge between the multi-layer shallow water system and the corresponding system for continuously stratified flows, that is the incompressible Euler equations with eddy-induced diffusivity under the hydrostatic approximation. Specifically we prove that, under an assumption of stable stratification, sufficiently regular solutions to the incompressible Euler equations can be approximated by solutions to multi-layer shallow water systems as the number of layers, $N$, increases. Moreover, we provide a convergence rate of order $1/N^2$. A key ingredient in the proof is a stability estimate for the multi-layer system which relies on suitable energy estimates mimicking the ones recently established by Bianchini and Duch\^ene on the continuously stratified system. This requires to compile a dictionary that translates continuous operations (differentiation, integration, etc.) into corresponding discrete operations

Pakaian Sebagai Komunikasi Artifaktual Dalam Pembentukan Identitas Sosial (Studi Interaksi Simbolik pada Pemakaian Sarung Dalam Kegiatan Sehari-hari oleh Laki-laki Di Desa Moktesareh Kecamatan Kedungdung Kabupaten Sampang)

This research focuses on understanding the symbolic interaction of the community regarding clothing as an artifact for communication in shaping social identity through the use of sarongs in daily activities by men in the village of Moktesareh, Kedungdung District, Sampang Regency. This study employs a qualitative approach based on the case study methodology proposed by Robert K. Yin. The limitation of this research is that it only covers male subjects in Moktesareh Village, Kedungdung District, Sampang Regency who use sarongs in their daily activities. Furthermore, this research utilizes the symbolic interaction theory approach to analyze the symbolic meaning contained in the use of sarongs by men in the village of Moktesareh. The results of this study indicate that the decision to wear sarongs in Moktesareh Village is not merely a dressing habit, but a hereditary tradition that has become an inseparable part of daily life, especially for men, since childhood. In the context of using sarongs as an identity, the use of sarongs in Moktesareh Village becomes a symbol of obedience and spirituality reflected through hereditary traditions

Konsep Tasawuf Abdurrahman Al-Tha’alibi dalam Tafsir Al-Jawa>hir Al-H{isa>n fi> Tafsi>r al-Qur’a>n

This article discusses some of the Sufism concepts, al-walayah, al-khalwah, al-dhikr, al-tafakkur and al-tawakkal according to Al-Tha'alibi, Muslim scholar from Algeria in the 8th and 9th centuries in Tafsi>r Al-Jawa>hir al-H{isa>n fi> Tafsi>r al-Qur'a>n. Using the descriptive-analytic method, this literature study found that Al-Tha'alibi in his tafsir in interpreting the verses was influenced by Sufi scholars who supported the Sunni Sufi concept, namely the Sufi way of life guided by al- Qur`an, Hadith, and the journey of life of the Companions and Salaf al-Ummah. As a Sufi and 'a>lim fi> al-di>n, Al-Tha'alibi certainly practiced the Sufi life patterns according to what he believed, namely the Sunni Sufi which was different from the Sufi understanding practiced by the majority of the Algerian population at that time which was considered to have come out of many demands Islam. It is caused by political, economic, and social conditions that are unstable and have a significant impact on the religious life of the Algerian population, especially in the understanding and practice of Sufism. &nbsp

Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Teknik Dasar Terhadap Penguasaan Keterampilan Bulutangkis (studi deskriptif pada mahasiswa IKOR kelas A angkatan 2013)

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh asumsi rendahnya tingkat pengetahuan teknik dasar bermain bulutangkis mahasiswa sehingga berpengaruh dengan kemampuan keterampilan teknik dasar bermain bulutangkis yang dimiliki oleh seorang mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional yang bertujuan: (1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa IKOR kelas A angkatan 2013, (2) Untuk mengetahui penguasaan keterampilan bulutangkis mahasiswa IKOR kelas A angkatan 2013, (3) Untuk menguji apakah terdapat hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan penguasaan keterampilan bulutangkis mahasiswa IKOR kelas A angkatan 2013. Sampel penelitian adalah 36 mahasiswa IKOR kelas A angkatan 2013 yang mengikuti perkuliahaan bulutangkis. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling purvosive. Instrument dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner dan tes keterampilan bulutangkis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) kriteria tingkat pengetahuan teknik dasar cukup baik, (2) kriteria penguasaan keterampilan bulutangkis cukup baik, (3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan keterampilan bulutangkis, terbukti nilai sig. 0.00 < 0.05, Dilihat dari R2 (R Square) atau koefisien determinasi mencapai 0.478%. Ini berarti tingkat pengetahuan memberikan kontribusi dalam pembentukan keterampilan bulutangkis dengan sumbangan efektif 47,8%, sedangkan sisa nya 52.2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti

This study aims to determine the Effectiveness of Village Fund Allocation Management (ADD) in Village Development in Bagon Village, Puger District, Jember Regency. This research also explains what developments have been realized and what impacts it has on the community. In this research, the method taken is using the purposive sampling method, which is a sampling technique by determining certain criteria and determining the population according to the study and also determining the number of samples to be taken from the population. While the data collected in this study used the interview method, observation method, documentation, literature study, data validity techniques, observation persistence, participation extension and triangulation. The effectiveness and impact of village funds on the development and empowerment of village communities and to find out the extent of the effectiveness of the Village Funds and their impact in the future. The results of the research show that the use of the Village Fund for the 2020 fiscal year is prioritized in the field of village government administration and the field of village community development, but in village development it does not go unnoticed even though in its implementation it uses more village funds (DDS). This study will describe the results of research and discussion based on interviews and field observations about the Effectiveness of Village Fund Allocation Management (ADD) in Village Development in Bagon Village, Puger District, Jember Regency. One of them is that Bagon village is indeed carrying out village development using ADD and DDS appropriately, in which several facilities and infrastructure needed by the community are built to support daily activities such as the construction of asphalt roads, paving roads, road parapets, road parapets and others. other.
