Mots clĂ©s: Diffusion, pratique agricole, CEP, Maradi, ZinderThe dissemination of improved technologies through the farmer field school approach (CEP) asks about their adoption by producers. The objective of this study is to know the determinants of technology adoption and its impact on agricultural yield and income. 380 producers were interviewed including 150 CEP learners, 150 producers who did not participate in the process but residents of the CEP villages and 80 producers from the control villages. The logit regression model was used for data analysis. This study showed that CEP approach influences the adoption of technologies. This adoption resulted in an increase in yield of millet by 99% and cowpea by 136 %, as well as a 97 % increase in revenue for millet and 120 % for cowpea. The determining factors of this work the results may be used to strengthen extension programs for agricultural production technologies. Keywords: Diffusion, agricultural practice, CEP, Maradi, Zinde

Abnormal brain scan with subacute extradural haematomas

    No full text
Four patients are described with proven subacute extradural haematomas, each with an abnormal cerebral scan of diagnostic assistance. A possible mechanism of production of the subacute extradural haematoma is discussed, and appears to be similar to the mechanism involved in the subacute subdural haematoma. The means by which the abnormal scan results in such cases is also examined, from which it appears that non-specific meningeal membrane inflammatory reaction surrounding the haematoma is significant

Fractional statistics description applied to protein adsorption: effects of excluded surface area on adsorption equilibria

    Get PDF
Adsorption of large molecules blocking more than one adsorption center on a lattice is described as a fractional statistics problem, based on Haldane’s statistics. Excluded surface area is characterized by a statistical exclusion parameter, g, which relates to the molecular size and lattice geometry. The theoretical formalism reproduces the classical Langmuir equation (one excluded state limit), and gives a framework and compact equations to consistently describe the adsorption thermodynamics of structurally diverse proteins ranging from simple species to large ligands.Fil: Quiroga, Evelina.
