Instanton bundles on Fano threefolds
We introduce the notion of an instanton bundle on a Fano threefold of index
2. For such bundles we give an analogue of a monadic description and discuss
the curve of jumping lines. The cases of threefolds of degree 5 and 4 are
considered in a greater detail.Comment: 31 page, to appear in CEJ
Measurement of and Structure Functions in Low Region with the IHEP-JINR Neutrino Detector
The isoscalar structure functions and are measured as functions
of averaged over all permissible for the range of 6 to 28 GeV of
incident neutrino (anti-neutrino) energy at the IHEP-JINR Neutrino Detector.
The QCD analysis of structure function provides
MeV under the assumption of QCD
validity in the region of low . The corresponding value of the strong

Biphasic Calcium Phosphate Composite for Biomedical Applications
The paper describes the preparation of the biphasic (hydroxyapatite (HA) and tricalcium phosphate
(TCP)) nanostructured calcium phosphate composite. The product was chemically synthesized from the solution
which contained calcium acetate Са(СН3СОО)2 (0,167 mМ), sodium dihydrogen phosphate NaH2PO4
(0,1 mМ), sodium hydrocarbonate NaHCO3 (0,02 mM). The calcium phosphate composite was formed at
pH=11 with and without the addition of carbonate ions. The samples were analyzed using X-Ray diffraction
after the heat treatment at 900C for 1 h. The derived material contained HA and TCP phases with
their contents change depending on the concentration of the carbonate ions in the solution. The mean crystallite
size of the HA phase in (121) plane is 12 – 14 nm. Further studies will be directed to the using of the
derived composite for the biomedical applications.

Mandelbrot set in coupled logistic maps and in an electronic experiment
We suggest an approach to constructing physical systems with dynamical
characteristics of the complex analytic iterative maps. The idea follows from a
simple notion that the complex quadratic map by a variable change may be
transformed into a set of two identical real one-dimensional quadratic maps
with a particular coupling. Hence, dynamical behavior of similar nature may
occur in coupled dissipative nonlinear systems, which relate to the Feigenbaum
universality class. To substantiate the feasibility of this concept, we
consider an electronic system, which exhibits dynamical phenomena intrinsic to
complex analytic maps. Experimental results are presented, providing the
Mandelbrot set in the parameter plane of this physical system.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figure
An Introduction to Hyperbolic Barycentric Coordinates and their Applications
Barycentric coordinates are commonly used in Euclidean geometry. The
adaptation of barycentric coordinates for use in hyperbolic geometry gives rise
to hyperbolic barycentric coordinates, known as gyrobarycentric coordinates.
The aim of this article is to present the road from Einstein's velocity
addition law of relativistically admissible velocities to hyperbolic
barycentric coordinates along with applications.Comment: 66 pages, 3 figure
An integrable discretization of the rational su(2) Gaudin model and related systems
The first part of the present paper is devoted to a systematic construction
of continuous-time finite-dimensional integrable systems arising from the
rational su(2) Gaudin model through certain contraction procedures. In the
second part, we derive an explicit integrable Poisson map discretizing a
particular Hamiltonian flow of the rational su(2) Gaudin model. Then, the
contraction procedures enable us to construct explicit integrable
discretizations of the continuous systems derived in the first part of the
paper.Comment: 26 pages, 5 figure
Electric field gradients in MgB synthesized at high pressure: Cd TDPAC study and ab initio calculation
We report the high-pressure synthesis of novel superconductor MgB and
some related compounds. The superconducting transition temperature of our
samples of MgB is equal to 36.6 K. The MgB lattice parameters
determined via X-ray diffraction are in excellent agreement with results of our
ab initio calculations. The time-differential perturbed angular correlation
(TDPAC) experiments demonstrate a small increase in quadrupole frequency of
Cd probe with decreasing temperature from 293 to 4.2 K. The electric
field gradient (EFG) at the B site calculated from first principles is in fair
agreement with EFG obtained from B NMR spectra of MgB reported in the
literature. It is also very close to EFG found in our Cd TDPAC
measurements, which suggests that the Cd probe substitutes for boron in
the MgB lattice.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure

Generation and evolution of vortex-antivortex pairs in Bose-Einstein condensates
We propose a method for generating and controlling a spatially separated
vortex--antivortex pair in a Bose-Einstein condensate trapped in a toroidal
potential. Our simulations of the time dependent Gross-Pitaevskii equation show
that in toroidal condensates vortex dynamics are different from the dynamics in
the homogeneous case. Our numerical results agree well with analytical
calculations using the image method. Our proposal offers an effective example
of coherent generation and control of vortex dynamics in atomic condensates.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure
Full Counting Statistics of Charge Transfer in Coulomb Blockade Systems
Full counting statistics (FCS) of charge transfer in mesoscopic systems has
recently become a subject of significant interest, since it proves to reveal an
important information about the system which can be hardly assessed by other
means. While the previous research mostly addressed the FCS of non- interacting
systems, the present paper deals with the FCS in the limit of strong
interaction. In this Coulomb blockade limit the electron dynamics is known to
be governed by a master equation. We develop a general scheme to evaluate the
FCS in such case, this being the main result of the work presented. We
illustrate the scheme, by applying it to concrete systems. For generic case of
a single resonant level we establish the equivalence of scattering and master
equation approach to FCS. Further we study a single Coulomb blockade island
with two and three leads attached and compare the FCS in this case with our
recent results concerning an open dot either with two and three terminals. We
demonstrate that Coulomb interaction suppresses the relative probabilities of
large current fluctuations.Comment: 17 pages, 16 figure
