Correlations in the Ising antiferromagnet on the anisotropic kagome lattice

We study the correlation function of middle spins, i. e. of spins on intermediate sites between two adjacent parallel lattice axes, of the spatially anisotropic Ising antiferromagnet on the kagome lattice. It is given rigorously by a Toeplitz determinant. The large-distance behaviour of this correlation function is obtained by analytic methods. For shorter distances we evaluate the Toeplitz determinant numerically. The correlation function is found to vanish exactly on a line J_d(T) in the T-J (temperature vs. coupling constant) phase diagram. This disorder line divides the phase diagram into two regions. For J less than J_d(T) the correlations display the features of an unfrustrated two-dimensional Ising magnet, whereas for J greater than J_d(T) the correlations between the middle spins are seen to be strongly influenced by the short-range antiferromagnetic order that prevails among the spins of the adjacent lattice axes. Non-normative ethnonyms and informal toponyms as means of verbal aggressiveness

© Serials Publications.The paper considers the questions of abuse expressed by means of verbal aggressiveness. In modern linguistics verbal aggressiveness is meant as the form of aggressiveness in terms of psychological injury basically involving verbal speech components such as invective, abuse and the like. The paper also defines verbal aggressiveness types and gives some examples of lexical items of aggressiveness provided by linguistic research of Surgut state university scientific-educational linguistic centre. On the other hand, the paper touches upon the problem of non-normative ethnonyms and informal toponyms' study as lexical means of verbal aggressiveness. It is known that ethnonyms used for expressive and negative evaluation of the representative of this or that ethnic group are defined as non-normative ethnonyms, toponyms used in colloquial language are identified as informal toponyms

Pharmacotherapy of glaucoma in terms of evidence-based medicine

Glaucoma is a disease associated with increased intraocular pressure (IOP). Of the pharmacological agents for treating glaucoma, there are drugs of the first (most effective and safe) and second-line treatment. First-line treatment includes prostaglandin analogs and beta-blockers. The currently used prostaglandin analogs (latanoprost, bimatoprost, tafluprost and travoprost) are PG F2α analogs that act through stimulation of FP receptors. They are distinguished by the optimal ratio of effectiveness and risk of side effects. They are convenient for the patient because for the therapeutic effect, it is enough to prescribe 1 time per day. As a result, it is rational to start the treatment of glaucoma with a drug in this group. In terms of pharmacoeconomics, the most affordable prostaglandin drug is latanoprost, which is generally as effective as other prostaglandin analogs. β-adrenergic blockers reduce the production of intraocular fluid, the formation of which is controlled by β1- and β2-adrenergic receptors. Therefore, non-selective β-blockers (timolol, levobunolol, metipranolol, and carteolol) have a pharmacodynamic advantage over selective β1-adrenergic antagonists (betaxolol). Conducted clinical studies of β-blockers have shown that given the cost, efficacy and safety, timolol was the most preferable treatment for glaucoma. Tactics for Specialized Anti-Epidemic Team (SAET) Deployment under the Conditions of Large-Scale High Water in the Far Eastern Territory. Communication 2. Peculiarities of Operational Activities of the Laboratory-Epidemiological SAET Reinforcement Unit Deployed in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region

Taking into consideration emergency conditions of rainfall flooding in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region in August-September 2013, forming premises for aggravation of the epidemiological situation a decision was made to deploy a laboratory-epidemiological SAET reinforcement unit No. 2 (SAET-2) from Irkutsk Research Anti-Plague Institute into the exposed area. SAET-2 staff was step-by-step relocated to the site of emergency to participate in the inspectional operations. Withdrawal of specialists was also performed on a stage-by-stage basis as the work advanced. For the first time ever SAET was established right at the natural disaster site and recruited from experts who are on regular SAET-2 staff of the Irkutsk Research Anti-Plague Institute, and from personnel reserve of the Rospotrebnadzor institutions in the Khabarovsk Territory. Complex approach, applied for the management of its work, allowed for alliance of forces and facilities of various Rospotrebnadzor territorial establishments, Rosselkhoznadzor and veterinary medicine institutions into the uniform mobile specialized brigade avoiding overlap of responsibilities and interference into day-to-day operational activities of Rospotrebnadzor territorial institutions. SAET-2 was to implement a complex of measures for sanitary-hygienic and epidemiological surveillance over the municipal territories suffered from flood. Team operational activities were carried out on the basis of stationary laboratories at the territorial establishments of Rospotrebnadzor in the Khabarovsk Territory and the Jewish Autonomous Region that were converted for working under emergency conditions mode. The mobile brigade has performed the tasks successfully. It has provided sanitary-epidemiological welfare of the population under emergency conditions of rainfall flood
