Reform of higher education in the conditions of deep social and economic transformations determines both optimizationof professional training and development of functional capacity of the organism for future work. The initial stage of training is of particular importance due to incorporation into a complex new system of educational environment. The aim of the work - to study the characteristics of adaptation process in the first-year students. Functional state of students’ organism was studied by visual-motor response, function of attention, speed, of information processing, tepping-test. This cross-sectional study included 179 first-year medical students. Students with a history of hearing or visual disorder, smoking, alcoholism, cardiovascular and respiratory disease and on medication which affects cognitive performance were excluded from the study. Participation in the test was voluntary and informed written consent was taken from each participant. Academic performance was analyzed. Pearson correlation has been used to find the significance of relationship between the speed of thought processes, function of attention, factor of motometria, volume of visual memory and academic performance. Adaptation of students to training is based on the functional system of  the body. Expressed correlation between the speed of thought processes (r=0,63, р<0,01), function of attention (r=0,47, р<0,05), ratio of motometry (r=0,45, р<0,05), volume of visual memory  (r=0,43, р<0,05) and academic performance was established. The distribution of these indicators demonstrates the feasibility of using Standard deviation to assess the degree of adaptation

    Exchange bias phenomenon in (Nd1-xYx)2/3Ca1/3MnO3 (x = 0, 0.1) perovskites

Exchange bias phenomenon, evident of antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic phase segregation state, has been observed in (Nd1-xYx)2/3Ca1/3MnO3 (x = 0, 0.1) compounds at low temperatures. A contribution to the total magnetization of the compounds due to the ferromagnetic phase has been evaluated. It has been found that yttrium doping leads to the growth of the ferromagnetic phase fraction. The ferromagnetic phase in the doped compound has a lower coercivity Hc and more rectangular form of the hysteresis loop. The values of the exchange bias field HEB and coercivity are found to be strongly dependent on the cooling magnetic field Hcool. In sufficiently high magnetic fields, Hcool > 5 kOe, HEB in the doped compound is about twice as low as in the parent compound. This difference is attributed to a lower exchange interaction and higher saturation magnetization of the ferromagnetic phase in (Nd0.9Y0.1)2/3Ca1/3MnO3

Verification of event-driven software systems using the specification language of cooperating automata objects

The CIAO (Cooperative Interaction Automata Objects) specification language is intended to describe the behavior of distributed and parallel event-driven systems. This class of systems includes various software and hardware systems for control, monitoring, data collection, and processing. The ability to verify compliance with requirements is desirable competitive advantage for such systems. The CIAO language extends the concept of state machines of the UML (Unified Modeling Language) with the possibility of cooperative interaction of several automata through strictly defined interfaces. The cooperative interaction of automatа objects is defined by a link scheme that defines how the provided and required interfaces of different automatа objects are connected. Thus, the behavior of the system as a whole could be described as a set of execution protocols, each of which is a sequence of interface calls, possibly with guard conditions. We represent a set of protocols using a semantic graph in which all possible paths from the initial nodes to the final nodes define sequences of interface method calls. Because the interfaces are strictly defined in advance by the connection scheme, it is possible to construct a semantic graph automatically according to a given system of interacting automaton objects. To verify the system behavior, one only has to check if each path in the semantic graph does satisfy the requirements. System requirements are formally described using conditional regular expressions that define patterns of acceptable and forbidden behavior. This article proposes methods and algorithms that allow you to check the compliance of programs in the CIAO language with the requirements automatically and, thereby, check the semantics of the developed program. The proposed method narrows the specification formalism to the class of regular languages and the programming language to a language with a simple and predefined structure. In many practical cases, this is sufficient for effective verification

CASE OF SUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY ENDOVASCULAR REPAIR OF RUPTURED ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM IN ANATOMICALLY DIFFICULT CONDITIONS

    Get PDF
This report presents a clinical case of emergency endovascular treatment of acute rupture of the abdominal aortic aneurysm in complex anatomically difficult conditions. Although this pathology is rare, it has a high mortality rate. Moreover, according to different authors endovascular repair is safer as compared with open surgery. We demonstrate the decision-making algorithm, show the technical nuances during the intervention which allowed us to achieve an acceptable clinical and angiographic result. Our experience will be interesting and useful for specialists who treat patients with vascular diseases

Endovascular treatment of vertebral arteriovenous fistula using an occlude

    Get PDF
The search for the optimal approach in the treatment of brachiocephalic arteriovenous fistulas is one of the current problems of neurosurgery and vascular surgery. It is important to note that the best prognosis requires timely diagnosis and the earliest possible dissection of the fistula. Also, the method of treatment should have the least negative consequences and a good clinical effect. Previously, surgeons used open surgical vessel ligation with great technical difficulties due to anatomical difficulties of access as well as bleeding. In recent decades, the endovascular approach to treatment has demonstrated advantages over open interventions. Despite the low traumaticity, there is a risk of complications such as untargeted vascular embolization, perioperative stroke, etc. In this article we demonstrate the experience of arterio-venous vertebral artery fistula dissection using an occluder

Faraday effect and fragmentation of ferromagnetic layers in multilayer Co/Cu(1 1 1) nanofilms

    Get PDF
With purpose to investigate influence of magnetically non-active metal layers on the Faraday effect in multilayer Ferromagnetic/Normal metal films, dependences of the Faraday rotation angles of the light polarization plane on magnetic field have been studied in multilayer [Co/Cu] nanofilms. It was revealed that the Faraday rotation φ varies with thickness of the Cu layers dCu. This φ(dCu) dependence consists of the monotonic component, namely a gradual rise of the angle with increase of dCu, and the non-monotonic one represented by two minima. The monotonic changes of the Faraday rotation were satisfactory described in frames of the effective medium method. Two minima are explained with the Co layer’s fragmentation due to influence of size electron quantization in the Cu layers on formation of Co clusters during deposition of the films.publishe

Scope of endovascular surgery in correction of stenotic lesions of the internal carotid artery in complex anatomic conditions

    Get PDF
In most cases, patients with multifocal atherosclerotic lesions, including brachiocephalic arteries, are denied surgical treatment due to the high risks of intra- and postoperative complications. Despite the severe stenotic lesion of the carotid arteries, which can lead to such a major complication as ischemic stroke, in most cases surgeons refuse to perform the operation. Endovascular surgery is often the only option for these patients. After analyzing the world experience in the treatment of hemodynamically significant lesions of the arteries of the brachiocephalic basin and applying in practice various methods of endovascular interventions in patients with complex stenotic lesions of the internal carotid arteries, we were convinced that endovascular correction of such lesions is often the main method of treatment for patients with multifocal atherosclerosis, and can also be used as a primary method of treatment, as it demonstrates high effectiveness, low risk of complications and good long-term results
