Singular Modes of the Electromagnetic Field
We show that the mode corresponding to the point of essential spectrum of the
electromagnetic scattering operator is a vector-valued distribution
representing the square root of the three-dimensional Dirac's delta function.
An explicit expression for this singular mode in terms of the Weyl sequence is
provided and analyzed. An essential resonance thus leads to a perfect
localization (confinement) of the electromagnetic field, which in practice,

Muon Spin Rotation Measurement of the Magnetic Field Penetration Depth in Ba(Fe0.93 Co0.07)2 As2 : Evidence for Multiple Superconducting Gaps
We have performed transverse field muon spin rotation measurements of single
crystals of Ba(FeCoAs with the applied magnetic field
along the direction. Fourier transforms of the measured spectra
reveal an anisotropic lineshape characteristic of an Abrikosov vortex lattice.
We have fit the SRSR spectra to a microscopic model in terms of the
penetration depth and the Ginzburg-Landau parameter .
We find that as a function of temperature, the penetration depth varies more
rapidly than in standard weak coupled BCS theory. For this reason we first fit
the temperature dependence to a power law where the power varies from 1.6 to
2.2 as the field changes from 200G to 1000G. Due to the surprisingly strong
field dependence of the power and the superfluid density we proceeded to fit
the temperature dependence to a two gap model, where the size of the two gaps
is field independent. From this model, we obtained gaps of
and , corresponding to roughly 6 meV
and 3 meV respectively
Oxygen transport and consumption in germinating seeds
Three mathematical models were formulated to describe the oxygen con-sumption of seeds during germination. These models were fitted to measure-ment data of oxygen consumption curves for individual germinating seeds of Savoy cabbage, barley and sugar beet provided by Fytagoras. The first model builds on a logistic growth model for the increasing population of mitochondria in the embryo during growth. The other two take the anatomy and physiologi-cal properties of the seed into account. One describes the oxygen uptake during the germination phase only. An extension of this model is capable of fitting the complete oxygen consumption curve, including the initial βrepairβ phase in which the embryonic cells recover from their dormant state before extensive cell division and growth commences. Analysis of the London penetration depth in Ni-doped CaKFe4As4
We report combined experimental and theoretical analysis of superconductivity
in CaK(FeNi)As (CaK1144) for 0, 0.017 and 0.034. To
obtain the superfluid density, , the temperature dependence of the London penetration depth,
, was measured by using tunnel-diode resonator (TDR) and
the results agreed with the microwave coplanar resonator (MWR) with the small
differences accounted for by considering a three orders of magnitude higher
frequency of MWR. The absolute value of was measured by using MWR, nm, which agreed well with the NV-centers in diamond optical
magnetometry that gave nm. The
experimental results are analyzed within the Eliashberg theory, showing that
the superconductivity of CaK1144 is well described by the nodeless s

Proteins of the superfamily of small guanosine triphosphate hydrolase (GTPase) perform various functions: from the control of cell proliferation to the regulation of vesicular transport. The superfamily of small GTPase Ras includes more than 150 proteins, devided to 5 major families (Arf, Ran, Rho, Ras and Rab), and plays an important role in carcinogenesis. Compared to the other families, the Rab family was investigated by relatively small number studies, which does not equally reflect their role in malignant transformation processes. In our reviewΒ we have focused on both the subfamily Rab3 and its poorly investigated member Rab3B. Recent findings allow to consider Rab3B not onlyΒ as a promising diagnostic or prognostic marker for several types of neoplasms, but also is a potential target for antitumor therapy. Scaffold proteins coordinate the assembling of multicomponent protein complexes and participate in transduction of cellular signals via multiple signaling pathways therefore acting as important regulators of cell properties. IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Proteins (IQGAPs) are promising targets for studying the role of scaffold proteins in intracellular signaling regulation and development of cancer and other diseases. IQGAP family includes 3 proteins (IQGAP1, IQGAP2 and IQGAP3) that differ considerably by their expression patterns and functions. Distinct genomic aberrations and expression changes in various tumors were reported for all three IQGAP family members. The present paper thoroughly reviews the structure of IQGAP proteins, their involvement in regulation of cell characteristics and interactions with components of intracellular signaling pathways. Coexistence of the spin-density-wave and superconductivity in the (Ba,K)Fe2As2
The relation between the spin-density-wave (SDW) and superconducting order is
a central topic in current research on the FeAs-based high Tc superconductors.
Conflicting results exist in the LaFeAs(O,F)-class of materials, for which
whether the SDW and superconductivity are mutually exclusive or they can
coexist has not been settled. Here we show that for the (Ba,K)Fe2As2 system,
the SDW and superconductivity can coexist in an extended range of compositions.
The availability of single crystalline samples and high value of the energy
gaps would make the materials a model system to investigate the high Tc

Microwave response of superconducting pnictides: extended scenario
We consider a two-band superconductor with relative phase between the
two order parameters as a model for the superconducting state in
ferropnictides. Within this model we calculate the microwave response and the
NMR relaxation rate. The influence of intra- and interband impurity scattering
beyond the Born and unitary limits is taken into account. We show that,
depending on the scattering rate, various types of power law temperature
dependencies of the magnetic field penetration depth and the NMR relaxation
rate at low temperatures may take place.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figure
Kombinasi Format Factory, U-lead dan Microsoft Office Powerpoint dalam Upaya Meningkatkan Kualitas Media Pembelajaran
Peserta didik mempunyai gaya belajar yang berbeda-beda. Gaya belajar tersebut meliputi auditori, visual dan kinestetik (VAK). Seorang guru harus mampu memenuhi kebutuhan masing-masing gaya belajar peserta didik tersebut. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis VAK. Media pembelajaran berbasis VAK dapat dipenuhi dengan menyisipkan file video di dalamnya. Selain itu, penggunaan file video sebagai media pembelajaran mendukung implementasi pembelajaran saintifik pada kurikulum 2013. Namun, belum semua guru memiliki kemampuan untuk mengemas file video tersebut dalam bentuk media pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru di SMA Negeri 1 Teras dan SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali dalam membuat media pembelajaran berbasis VAK dengan kombinasi software Format Factory, U-Lead dan PowerPoint. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan para guru di SMA Negeri 1 Teras dan SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali dalam membuat media pembelajaran. Peningkatan kemampuan guru-guru tersebut berada di atas target yang direncanakan. Rerata peningkatan kemampuan guru-guru di SMA Negeri 1 Teras 7,87% di atas target, sedangkan di SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali 9,58% di atas target. A teacher must be able to fulfill the needs of individual students\u27 learning styles. One way that can be applied is using Visual, Audio and Kinesthetic (VAK) learning media based. VAK-learning media based can be created by inserting video files on it. In addition, using video file as a learning media can support the implementation of scientific learning on the 2013 curriculum. However, not all teachers have the ability to use video files into a learning media. The purpose of this study is to improve the teachers\u27 ability at SMA Negeri 1 Teras and SMAN 1 Boyolali on making VAK-learning media based with a combination of Format Factory, U-Lead and PowerPoint software. The results showed that the teachers\u27 ability on making VAK-learning media based was increased. Increased the teachers\u27 ability was above planned target score. The mean score of the teachers\u27 ability at SMA Negeri 1 Teras 7.87% above the target, while at SMAN 1 Boyolali 9.58% above the target
